Is there a relatively easy way to increase the volume of media via Bluetooth without installing Viper4Android or similar app? For the most part, the volume is just fine. I am a landscaping supervisor and spend most of my days on a mower cutting grass. I recently bought some new Beats Power Beats BT headphones and the volume just isn't loud enough while on the mower. If I used my Beats wired headphones, they are plenty loud enough. I had the same issue on my Galaxy S5 but I fixed it using Wanam on Xposed I believe. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have the Samsung Level U Pro Bluetooth headset, and they are an amazing set in manipulating volumes. I can adjust the volume of the headset themselves separately from the phone's own Bluetooth volume. So this ultimately let's me put it on full blast from the volume controls of both the phone and the headset (not that I want to since I already blown my right ear nearly 6 years ago, which leaves me with tinnitus to this day).
Anyway, that's just my two cents about having loud volumes.
My Power Beats headphones have a separate volume adjustment also and it helps, they just quite don't get loud enough. I know what you mean about too loud as well but its either headphones or mower noise. 6 in one, half a dozen in the other in my opinion. And honestly, I listen to audio books as I am mowing, not music, so it's just a narrators voice and not loud music....but it does me no good if I can't hear the narrator that is reading the book. I'd rather it be able to get TOO loud and I can turn it down than to not be able to hear it over a running mower.

as I dont like the sound quality of the htc headset that came with the jade I bought an adapter mini-usb to 3.5mm to fit my in-hear sony headset.
Now I have a problem that at the minimum volume level the person on the other side of the line during a call is actually still quite loud and I can not find any way to set the lowest value lower!
While listening to music now is excellent, as with windows media player I can decrease the volume as much as I want, I can not do the same with phone calls!
I looked into registry tweaks but they didnt do the job.
Anybody had the same issue...?

So. it's about the person at the receiving end hearing it loud, not you. What you can control is the volume of your earpiece, not the other end. You cannot control the speaker unit. So you have to speak more softly or put the mic a little bit further away.
I am having issues with volume through the bluetooth audio. I am unable to find a mp3 player that has a preamp included in the equalizer. Is that not possible through android??? This is my first Android phone.
Is there a hack to boost volume?? Or is there a player that boosts volume??
I have to fix this fast...I work in a factory and need to hear my jamz

I was thinking the same thing, the volume is very low when playing music. I've tried with both my Bose In-Ear and Klipsch S4 headphones; both were barely audible above a lawn mower.
I agree volume is low,....waiting on an app, hack,...something.

I commited my volume hack to my github about a week ago, toast pulled it so now any kernel using ToastCFH's source will also have my audioboost code in it.
It in theory should boost the output volume of every interface on the device, but the only two that I've noticed to show a real increase are the phone headset (in call one) and the Bluetooth line out.
I don't know what kernels use it ATM but I know the FPS fix for Novatec panels implements it, just look around, most probably have it by this point since it seems like everyone is using toast's source.
Its not all BT that is quiet though. The Jawbone Icon is pretty quiet, as was the Blueant T1. BT audio through the LiquidAux is ok but not super loud. But the Moto H17txt is, well, louder than hell! Have to turn phone bt vol almost all the way down. 4 diff devices, 3 volume levels...
My concern is just with audio out through wired stereo headphones. I consider myself a self made audiofile and the dynamic quality of the audio output of the EVO is lacking IMO.
One way to go (audiophile quality, but pricey) is the Headroom total airhead. $99.
Runs on 4AA's and is 1/8" in and out.
You can find the older versions for less on e-bay.
I've got a headbanger amp, same basic thing as the Headroom.
Link also has some cheaper options like the boostaroo.
If you are DIY, there's instructions to be found to build the headbanger too.

Just an idea, google search "mp3 gain" this will normalize youre mp3s but you can also boost the volume by using a higher gain level when you normalize. This will clip the mp3 but i just kept a copy of the original file. I set mine to 110 percent then applied. Worked great.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to boost bluetooth playback volume. I have beats wireless studio headphones and they are definitely not as loud as they were when using them with my g3 on CM12. I do remember them being this low on the stock lg rom but when I switched over to CM the sound drastically increased. I am looking for a no root solution if possible as I am stock for the time being. I can't even feel any bass from these things and that's what they are supposed to be for lol. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Interesting. CM12 killed my BT volume on my HAM2. I find BT audio to be just as loud as other devices I have. One thing I've noticed is that BT max volume seems louder if I make sure volume is maxed out before pairing, especially on devices that take over phone volume controls.
Unpair the headphones. Turn phone volume to maximum. Turn headphones volume to maximum. Then pair.
I'm interested as well the mixer_paths would be where we need to look but they look different than I've seen before. I've found a mod from 2014 I'll report back.

Has someone sorted out the bt volume? I also have a very low volume over the bluetooth music, as I'm using it in the car...
It also depends on the headphone I have different Bluetooth headphones and some are loud and some are not.
Well it's not headphone previous nexus 5x was fine, if there is a way to increase bt volume
Viper4arise solved the problem, however 7.1.2 also make the bt volume normal, problem fixed

The P9 is also a little less loud on BT than any other phone i had.
Overall om really satisfied with my x style but I have one really annoying issue with mine, low Bluetooth volume both in calls and music podcasts etc. Coming from a opo where I had no issues with volume at all this is a bit of a let down. I thought that mm would solve it, a bit at least (why I thought that, or have no idea hoping for the best I guess.) but it's still at max setting it's just a tad bit higher than normal speaking volume.
Is there any one else that have experienced this? Maybe there's even a fix?
headset is sony sbh20, I actually have two same issue with both but not on the opo
I use the Moto Surround headphones. Volume is OK but could have just a little more boost for noisy environs or when I'm doing the vacuuming!
For Podcasts I use Pocket Casts which has a volume booster which works. Also the best podcaster out there.
I mainly use pocket casts and Google music, but I've also tried Spotify, songza youtube, and it's the same issue, been fiddling with gmusics eq doesn't matter. The front speakers works great so I assume there's some conflict with the headset, fu*k i don't know.
I just switched from a Note 3, and at least for my car radio, the sound is MUCH louder than my note 3. I'm at almost 1/2 volume on my Pure, and on my Note 3, I have to have it at max (Override the volume limiter) to keep from going deaf when I switch to the radio!!!!
My bluetooth volume kind of sucks too. In my car, if I take the phone and connect via Bluetooth I have to crank the volume to ~75% to be listenable, while if I take the same phone and car and plug in the aux jack, volume can be half of that.
It's a real bummer because I really like the freedom of bt, I can leave my phone anywhere in the apartment and just use the headset. Wired headphones paired with my phone is just a hassle

I just tried mine for the first time (I don't often wear headphones) and I was unable to go to the maximum volume. The loudest I could go without hurting my ears was 2 notches down from maximum. So, for me, the headset volume is more than adequate. It is at least as loud as my Nexus 5 was. So, for the people reporting issues with the headset volume and the need to boot it via root+mod, do they 1. Have a hardware defect 2. Have a headset that requires more amplification than my Sennheisser ear buds, or 3. Have less sensitive ears?
As for sound quality, I didn't put too much attention into it, but there wasn't any immediately obvious difference for me vs. my old N5.

Never understood this myself, I too have sennheiser in-ear earphones, I never go to max volume.

I have Sennheiser in ear phones and at max volume it sounds normal. But in a loud area (subway, airport, etc) it will be difficult to hear a quiet song.
I have sennheiser over the ears, and the sound is not very loud at all at max.
wasnt on my N5 either... I dont wanna root, but this is the only thing that may change my mind
From experience, the 5x and 6p's wired volume is significantly less loud than the Moto (G 2015, X Pure) or iPhone (5, 6), or, for that matter, any desktop/laptop. On those, I usually play music around 50% on my ATH-M50x, but on the 5x/6p, I had to crank it up to two clicks from the top for the same perceived volume.
Not sure if it's software or a chip/amp thing.
The headset volume is fine for me as well... It is lower than several of my last phones, but it's plenty loud.
I had several of the last HTC One phones M7, M8, M9....Which all sounded amazing and had too much volume IMO, The MOTO X Pure and Galaxy S6 were both also louder than the 6P, and louder than you really need.
The only time I have seen an issue, is when I plug into the AUX port on my car stereo and play music.... Some of the older, lower volume songs require me to turn my phone up 100% and the volume on my radio is about 80-85% the way up. Not really a problem, until I unplug it and my radio comes in about 3 times louder.
Now that I think about it, weirdly, Bluetooth headset volume is also lower.
I pair with a Moto Surround BT headset and on the Moto G, I could have the phone at 50% and headset at 50% and it was plenty loud. With the 6P, if I am lifting in a busy gym I can hear everyone talking around me even at max volume.
