While playing music with Spotify for Android TV app on my Nexus Player, it stutters every few seconds.
Force stop or reinstall doesn't help.
Is that a bug or should I need to do a factory reset with my device?

Hello!!
Hi I don't know if any of you experience this problem before but my Nexus 4 keep stopping the music randomly, it doesn't matter if I'm using the phone speaker or headset or streaming with Bluetooth.
I tried different music/media players too and the music keep stopping. I tried Google play music, mx player, power amp, Apollo. The phone plays like 5 or 6 songs and then stops suddenly, also its stops in the middle of songs too (thanks hp420 for reminding me) I have to unlock the phone and press play again.
I tried different roms and kernels and its all the same results.
Thank You in Advance

Same here. It stops in the middle of the song, sometimes. All I have to do is click play to get it going again, and it picks up where it left off, but it's annoying as hell!!
(running PA latest nightly with franco M3)
Same here . using rooted stock ROM and kernel . happens in Google music and nexmusic player .

Try clearing cache / data for the music player.

The reason I am raising this issue here is that I am only facing this problem on Nexus 4. Play music on Chromecast seems to work fine while being used with my wife's Galaxy S3. Here's the issue:
When I play my play music playlists on chromecast, it takes long pauses between songs and half of the time the next song fails to play until i press the play button again on my phone. Netflix and single song playback is working fine though. And network speed is not an issue, the speed is about 20mbps.
Additional Info: Running CM10.1.3 RC2 with Franco's kernel.
Is there anyone who is not facing this problem with Nexus 4? Could you please share which ROM you are using?
I'm finding with the stock music player a weird issue. it starts a new song, will play approx. 1 sec, stop, and start playing the song from where it left off. This happens quite often. Anyone else have the issue ?
Hello. I've got my SM-N9005 running TouchWiz 5.0 lollipop. When I watch video on any app but YouTube, video freezes after approximately 15 seconds, and sound continues. I can still use video player buttons etc, but video keeps beeing freezed. If I get to the home screen and get back to the video app, video starts playing but after 15 seconds it is freezing again. I've tested Samsung player, mx and vlc. On the 4.4 TouchWiz and CM11 and CM12 there was no problem. I've cleared my cash and even did a hard reset, but no luck. Any ideas?
Update your modem to LP.
And if you plan on staying on LP, you can update your bootloader too.
I am just getting my feet wet on the Android side of things and was wondering if someone can help me with how to configure my Joying 10.1" android unit running 5.1.1.
Currently with the default Radio, Music, and Video player apps, they all power off and on normally by bringing you back to the previous station, mp3, or video that was last played when the unit turns back on.
I am trying to switch to Rocket Music Player for the playlist support. However I have 2 issues.
1. When I have Rocket Player running and playing music, when I switch to the default Radio, Music, or Video apps from the head unit, the audio from Rocket Player continues to play in the background? How do I disable the audio mixing just for these 3 apps? I obviously want Rocket Player to keep playing when I run navigation or other apps, but I want it to stop for these default apps.
2. When the unit powers on, Rocket Player says that the task was killed and to disable the task killer to prevent this from happening again. Because of this, when I power the head unit back on, Rocket Player sometime randomly chooses a song from my library to play and not the last song it was playing for the unit is powered down. Where can I go in the settings to put Rocket Music Player on the exception list of apps to not kill when the unit powers down?
Do I need to try a different music app? Do I need to root the head unit? Is there a different app I can use to fix these 2 issues above?
Thanks in advance!
I tried PowerAmp and had the same issues. Is this something that Tasker can fix? Can Tasker kill just the audio for the stock Music and Video app when I launch either PowerAmp or RocketPlayer? Or will I only be able to kill the entire process? Sorry, I haven't purchased Tasker yet but will do so if it can fix my issues here.
