Hi all.
Looking for help fixing my galaxy A3.
We broke the lcd screen so decided to fix it our selves.
In removing the broken Lcd we broke the light tabs at the bottom on the USB board.
Now, I have just replaced the USB/ light board at the bottom.
But from memory I thought that the lights still worked whilst the lcd screen was removed.
Now, before I order the new lcd screen, Is there a way I can test the USB socket and touch lights actually work?
Or it will be pointless sticking on a new screen.
Thanks guys.

any advice on the problem ? thanks
Hello all,
My Touch HD slipped from my hands and ended-up flat on the screen... the screen does not have a scratch, the digitizer still works perfect, but the LCD underneath is broken, so I get a black screen. I can still access the Touch HD via my PC thanks to MyMobilier, though (so why do I complain, huh?!!)!
I ordered a replacement LCD in Hong-Kong (thanks ebay!), got the HTC Service Guide, managed to remove the antenna cover (tough!) and dismantle the whole thing. But NOW I AM STUCK with the 'bezel', i.e. the cover, screen, digitizer, LCD, and metal plate with bolts all apparently glued together.
Anyone faced the same problem? Anyone knows how to separate the LCD from the screen and digitizer?
Cheers,
FroggyZ

Anyone can help with this???
Hi
I've dropped my HD2. Everything is working, including touch screen, I can unlock the phone, I can answer the call, but screen is black, not broken.
What should I do? Does the lcd screen replacement will be sufficient? In that case, could the screen be ok, but some other display "processor" could be dead? I'm asking because I'll try to this on my own.
Could simply be the lcd cable has slipped slightly but probably more likely an LCD replacement needed.
You need remove rear housing & have a look & make a decision from your findings/testing.
hello
I've got a little update - lcd screen is working well - I mean it displays the image, the only malfunction is backlit. Right now when i use flashlign I can actually see whats on screen. Do you have experience or think that backlit connection can be repaired? Do You have any schematics for hd2' lcd ?
I suspect new LCD required by sounds of it. LCD can not be stripped for repair so after basic inspection of external connection replacement is only solution & not expensive due to falling cost of HD2 parts.
Hey guys,
broke my Nexus 4 screen a few years ago - now I wanted to replace it just so I have a backup phone.
I removed the glass with some tools, and while doing so another layer at the bottom of the screen came off. (exactly the part that was broken and didnt respond to touches)
It now shows solid white color when the phone is turned on, and I cant find any info wether this layer
is supposed to come off while changing digitizer and glass or not.
Have I borked this completely? Would like to know before I waste money on the Digitizer + Glass instead of just getting a new front frame.
Edit: Okay found out that this is the polarizer which is pretty cheap on the internet.
I have a G530, the Tmobile version, though fully unlocked, rooted, etc. I had cracked the digitizer and while waiting for a new one I dropped it again and the LCD popped out with the digitizer, disconnecting itself and would come back on after that. I got a new LCD and attached it to the board (disassembled) and all worked. I mounted the board back in the case and reattached everything but then only the backlight would turn on during initial boot. The connection seemed loose and after 2-3 reconnects I got my display to work, but while attaching the digitzer, the glass at the very top, just before the lcd starts broke... So I got ANOTHER lcd and digitizer (They're cheap) This LCD only gives the backlight at initial power on, with no display response, but no matter what I do, I can't get it to kick on like the last one.
I'm trying to get an idea if it is the new LCD, or if my connector on the board is broken, It looks like maybe a bit of plastic at the top broke off.. and is making the connector a bit loose. Since I get a backlight, anyone have any experience as to which is more likely broken? I'm not sure if power from the connector goes straight to the backlight, or if it goes to the LCD first, and if I would get a backlight with a bad LCD. These are cheap $25 LCD & Digitizer bundles from Amazon, like 'Mencia' brand so good chance I could have gotten a new one that is dead.
I'll try to get another up close shot of the connector, this magnifying app didn't focus in as well and you cant see the individual connectors as well, but they are fine, its the very top part of the connector looks a bit smaller. The bottom part has a piece of metal sandwiched between the plastic, but the top doesn't have a bit of plastic after the metal tab, of course, it could be absolutely nothing :s
