Unlock LTE bands on Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro For USA - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I just read this post from another user, and I'm wondering if it would work for the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro. It has a Qualcomm processor, the only thing I'd be leary about is the custom kernel. Any thoughts?

Anyone successful doing this to the A9?

I just bougth this phone and I am not able to access B20 LTE (800Mhz), so I don't have 4G in rural areas.
The phone use 800Mhz band for 3G, could be possible to switch it to use LTE instead?
I will check the link in the first when I have some free time (I am very busy right now). I will keep sucribed to this thread for any news.

Shv-e300s + lte!!?

Hi,
I'm about to get SG-S4!!
I read through the forum, didn't find a sold answer if SHV-E300S with Exynos 5 (Octa) will work with LTE in US!
Can anyone please let us know...
Thanks
It won't, the bands aren't supported. It won't work in the EU either.

If you want to:
-Pay 200 dollars more expensive(import tax + local seller commission)
-Have a bigger size(korea version is thicker than us one) and have stupid korea restriction(sms limitation, etc...)
-Take a phone who only support Korea 4G frequency and imcompatible with all other country
You can surely go for this version. No problem!!!

Hi, since you have the korea version, please show us more pictures about its size, what difference does he have other than the fact he get overclocked processor and compatible LTE? Some physical difference? Bigger than us one? Thicker? Some restrictions? Do you mean that with your app, you can use 4G LTE in the US and in other countries? Also where did you buy your phone? How much does it cost? Thank you.
The overclocked processor settings was dropped before it's release. It's now 4 cores at 1.6 and 4 cores at 1.2. I'm guessing because of heat issues.
Just doing a backup will make the phone heat up quick. Plus, the battery life isn't good.
I should have waited two more months before buying a S4.
I too want to have the octa core S4 with LTE to use in the US and don't want to settle for anything less. Some sources say that the S4 Exynos octa-core supports 20 LTE bands, but often responses from people say that the Korean LTE S4 won't work with US LTE bands. Wiki contains some info on the S4 and LTE bands but I'm a noob so it's not clear to me why it is a definite no for LTE in the US.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S4
SHV-E300/ - Korean with 3 variations: K, L and S
K: GSM, DCS
L: CLR, IMT
S: CLR, DCS
GT-I9505 - International version
800, 850, GSM, 1800 MHz, IMT, IMT-E
SGH-I337 - AT&T
700 MHz (Band 17), AWS, IMT, IMT-E
SGH-M919 - TMobile
700 MHz (Band 17), CLR, AWS, PCS, IMT, IMT-E
I'm targetting to use the S4 on Tmobile LTE. So according to that info Tmobile supports 6 LTE bands, some of which are also listed under the K, L and S variations of the Korean S4. To me that sorta implies that Tmobile LTE would work, but then I'm a noob and not sure how that works out. I don't know how reliable the Wiki info is so it'll be great to know. I've also seen sources that say the Korean S4 supports LTE bands 1/4/7/17. The info are scattered around and carriers don't specifically release these info so that makes things even harder.
But assuming the wiki info is reliable, if you can explain how it works or not work would you please enlighten the rest of us. Thanks.

Verizon Note 3 works for LTE band 4?

My question is does Verizon Note 3 support LTE band 4? And I know what Verizon LTE band 4 should be compatible with the T-mobile LTE band 4 does that mean if Verizon Note 3 if support LTE band 4 and it will get LTE on T-mobile?
Thanks ahead.
Several users in the update thread who say they live in AWS areas are still seeing the same speeds as the old software (MI9)
So the verizon note 3 doesnt have band 4 enabled? I wanted to get it for use on tmobile lte since I was getting a good deal on it. Any info would be appreciated.
I do not see it is enabled on I9 firmware, maybe it will be enabled on later update.

If I can get this phone under 500 no contract.. but my main purpose is to use it on tmobile LTE.. should i buy it?
No, I think you shouldn't buy it, because if you can't use the T-mobile 4G then it is not worth it.
I guess I wont be buying it. Thanks for the insight. If anyone finds out anything about tmobile 4g LTE on this model let me know

[Q] How to check 4G capability on Redmi Note 4G?

Hi
I have Xiaomi Note 4G (China Unicom version) but I am unable to use it on FDD1800 band on Zong 4G network in Pakistan. I have a 4G SIM that works perfectly with my LG G2 D802 and Huawei E5375 (CMCC).
On the box its written both LTE TDD and FDD and it does show 1800 band but when I force it to LTE-Only using Phone Testing menu (*#*#4636#*#*), it goes to no service.
Is there a way I can test the phones capability regarding LTE FDD1800?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Shoaib

Diferent version of redmi note 4g?
hello,
I'm thinking of buying the terminal , but I have a doubt
Viewing Page Xiaomi singapore , hongkong and taiwan offering a 4G LTE version band frequencies LTE 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 , but I see in different Chinese pages to buy it appears redmi note 4G LTE but only with frequencies LTE 1800/2100 .
Anyone know if there are two LTE versions as might ensure you have the frequencies that advertise in singapore, hongkong etc.
Thank you .
there are 2 versions of the phone. One that is domestic China 4G and then there is the export version that supports FDD-LTE/WCDMA/GSM. I am running a 4G version in Hong Kong and its fast. Not a huge diff from my Sammy Note 3. For the price its like giving it away. Only thing now is how reliable it is. Sammy is super reliable.

Dual Sim Version

Hello All
I read that the phones coming to the US will be dual sim. I was wondering if anyone knew what LTE bands are available on this version. GSM Arena lists the bands but doesn't specify which version they're reviewing (I believe it's only out in Beijing right now). I'm in China right now but can't find the phone in the small city I'm in. I am planning a trip to Beijing next Sunday to go check it out... just wondering if it's even worth the effort... Any info anyone has would be appreciated...

Redmi 3s with lte?

So there is a version of the Redmi 3s and 3s prime that is sold in Mexico that supports 4g lte (called only 4g in here)...
I was wondering, does it have different hardware? Or were the antennas for mexican 4g already there and activated via software?
I'm really confused on the subject and can't find any info as to why some xiaomi phones work with mexican 4g(Which uses some bands that are also used in the us).
I'm considering buying this or the 4 prime and was wondering if there could be a way to activate global lte on the 4 primer later on.
I was also wondering if I NEED to buy the phone in here to be able to use the 4g or if I might be able to pick up a phone from aliexpress and have 4g too.
Hope someone can help me with this info
The hardware is different but you can also get the LTE (4G) version for Mexico on Ali Express.
In Mexico you use LTE band 2 (Movistar: 1900 MHz) and 4 (AT&T,TelCel: 1700 MHz). So when you want to buy a Redmi 3S on Ali, make sure you buy the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Special Edition. It supports the LTE bands needed in your country.
!!
Thanks! =)
I was reading on sites that list the specs of the device but couldn't find anywhere that said that it supported lte bands 2 and 4 so I was quite confused. Thanks a lot.
