When do not disturb is enabled I'm not receiving text messages from my wife who is one of my starred contacts. I'm not having this issue with my galaxy s7 edge. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue, or solution.
Thanks
Any thoughts? Anyone else have this issue?
My daughter tried to call me 29 times last night and it didn't come through. I verified that she's starred. Nexus 6p as well.

I'm thinking maybe the default of "alarms only" needs changed to "priority only" and then some configuration for starred contacts: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6111295?hl=en

I'm getting no notification sound when receiving a text message. And I've checked every sound setting in setting and in the settings in the message app and at least 10-15 other "tricks" suggested in threads with similar problems.
And I've so far only found one solution; the master reset... But I've got a lot of settings I don't want to lose (and Titanium Backup does not do a good job of restoring them all).
Anyone?
Come on! Really? No one?

I'm back, and had success! Firstly mine changed when I tried go sms and did not like. After uninstall I was stuck with no sounds for a week. I solved mine by:
Added go sms back on phone including go sms emoj.
Went into apps, force closed go sms. Cleared data, then uninstaller. I repeated the same steps for go sms emoj as above.
After I did these steps my sms notification in stock sms program is back!!!
Hope this may be helpful?

I am trying the CM6Newv4. It works ok but I cannot migrate my WhatsApp history to i8000. It seems cannot read the history from SDCard...?
Please help...!
GT-i8000 WhatsApp
Is there even WhatsApp for this device?
I don't think so.
But to do that, you just need to Turn both devices on and connect them to the internet. If both are connected at the same time, the history syncroniƶes
I hope this helped. Have a nice day - and don't forget: Take a BACKUP of your chat history before doing anything

I Love the Omnia 2‼! ♥
I've noticed when trying to send pictures on the stock Samsung messages app the thumb nail for selected pictures doesn't seem to go away after sending them. Does anybody else have this issue?

Have you tried setting mms behavior to system in settings in the textra app
Yes, I have made that adjustment as well.
I rooted my S7 edge a while back and now when I try and make a call to someone it says 'Unfortunately, IMS Service has stopped'. After pressing 'OK' I am able to make the call by just pressing the 'Call' button again. Why is this happening - please help as it is VERY annoying.
Same thing happens for me too. Make call service crashes. Make call again very quickly and it works. If anyone has a solution that would be great.

Seem to have fixed the issue by going to...
Phone => More => Settings => uncheck voice over LTE Preferred.
Granted this is only a temporary fix till we can find out why volte is failing...

Below is a fix for a similar problem, bub not sure it will work here. If when you were rooted you made a backup with flashfire, you could restore the system only.
Otherwise - ODIN the AP for the OEM firmware you are on and it should clear it up. You may have done something with Xposed on other apps or mods that messed up the imsservice folder, but writing over the whole ROM should fix it. You will have to reroot it again, but that only takes a few minutes.

I also had to also disable WiFi calling and then this worked for me (which I don't mind, at all). THANK YOU!

When I have Voice over LTE Preferred unchecked, texts don't send. I will send a text and it stays in "SENDING" status for LONG time and then fails. Once I turn on voice over LTE preferred, my texts will go through but have the IMS service has stopped error issue.
I get this sometime and found reinstalling only the rom (AP only in odin) clears it up.

I can confirm that this works too.
I keep getting this error message when trying to make a call from the contacts widget. I'm on tmobile, and have Wifi calling off. "cannot connect to the mobile network. To make calls, connect to WiFi."
Me too - LG G5
I get this too since upgrading my LG G5 to Android Nougat.

I found that if I have launched the contacts app at some point, then calls using the contact widgets work. Clearing the contacts app from the running apps list brings the issue back.
I have an LG G5 too and experience the exact same issue. Called LG support and they don't have a clue. The workaround that I've found is to just open the phone dial pad and then close it. It somehow resets whatever is going on and clears the issue.
Happens to me all the time. Very frustrating.
