So I updated my nexus 10 to 5.0 using the OTA links pulled and.....well I have no sound. It's a system wide problem, all apps, with headphones or built in speakers.

I tried this (restart) with any success
I have experimented a longer process which worked several times : recovery mode, do nothing , reboot. ....
Fyi my upgrade to Lollipop had been made with a full wipe
Why do we loose the sounds (randomly) ?
I was missing sound and restarting wouldn't fix it. So I rebooted into stock recovery and wiped cache. That fixed it and haven't had an issue since

Hello,
Did it happen all of a sudden, or?
Do the ringtone/notification/alarm sounds work?
Did you install a specific app?
Did you update something?
Did you try something to fix the issue:
Did you try rebooting?
Wipe cache?
Factory reset?
Flash a factory image?
Downgrade the Android version?
Good luck...

Hey, maybe someone else will come with a better solution. But, if you want to downgrade, you need to unlock your bootloader (it will wipe your data completely, so backup what's important to you). You can find infos on how to unlock your bootloader here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928
And flash a factory image from Google. Images and infos regarding flashing can be found here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
Just do a factory reset if you encounter issue. 7.1.2 could conflict with 6.0.1...
Again, wait a little bit before making such radical change. Maybe someone will come with a fix. Sometimes, the solution is right here, but we just don't see it...
Good luck...
Thx mate
If you like to stay stock and use factory image anyway, I would reflash 7.1.2, no need to downgrade, sound works on 7.1.2. if it fails again, then downgrade would be an option .
Maybe it's enough if you reflash the system.img via fastboot.
Haven't noticed any sound issues on 7.1.2. Maybe you have an app installed that doesn't play nice with 7.1.2 and is interfering with the sound drivers, but I don't know how you would find what that could be. You did the obvious and went into settings sound and made sure that all the sound levels were good and that nothing was being muted? You could check the Google support threads and see if anyone is reporting a similar issue or if anyone has any ideas there. I suppose you could also flash a 7.1.1 factory image and see if the issue persists. I'm pretty sure there is a way to boot the 6P up into safe mode, even on pure stock. You could try that and see if the sound problem persists. If not its likely an issue with an app.
thx for answers volks.

Hey,
Reading other users reply, 7.1.2 doesn't seem to be the culprit.
Before flashing a 6.x image, unlock the bootloader and try reflashing the 7.1.2 factory image. You can still downgrade afterward... :good:
Good luck...
As the title says, I updated to the latest patch on Oreo and all of a sudden I'm noticing that the volume rockers don't work. They worked once after restarting, but now they don't work again. Has anyone else seen this issue?

No. How did you update... by OTA? Do they work in recovery? If so it may just be a matter of reflashing. If the rockers don't work in recovery, you may have a hardware/water issue.
I don't root nor flash any custom roms on my phone.
The vibrations won't work again after I turned off the "Do not disturb" mode yesterday. I've already wiped the cache through recovery, but nothing changed.
Anyone has any idea to figure this out? Please. Thanks.

It cannot vibrate or doesn't vibrate during calls and notification?
Make sure you don't disable vibrate during calls and notifications.
