Since a few days I get two weird Chinese popups in succession. I haven't installed any new app in at least two weeks and no app-update has asked for new permissions.
I've attached the popups, maybe somebody can read them and tell me what they say.

It's probably malware so will reinstall anyway.
Are you using ES File Explorer?
That might be the cause. I noticed the same and I uninstall ES File Explorer and no more such pop-up since then
I am using that. I'll remove it and see what happens.
Yes it is es file explorer. It used to be good. I had to uninstall from every Android I own.
Was comming In to make a post about this. Thanks. Just installed es now I'll remove it

What garbage has the app become. Almost reminds me of HTC and how they seem hell bent in destroying what was once a good thing.
#RIPESFileExplorer
Yup. ES File Explorer sure went downhill fast. I used to swear by it. Now, bought the full version of Solid Explorer and couldn't be happier.
Removing ES File Explorer solved the issue.

Hi All. Ran a virus scan on my computer last night and it came up with this. Anyone else getting it? is it a virus?
I grabbed the one click zip from the Developer forum. Did not add or change anything other than unzipping.

Well...before this gets too techy.
We root our phones with a "virus" or an Exploit. It's how we obtain root. Not surprising to see it come up.
But it would only hurt a linux box that happens to be compiled for ARM....and has ADB(where the security hole is)....so pretty much only Android phones...
Found this last night as well. Funny thing is that MSE never reported it before. I do wonder though if some of the rough experiences I've had trying to root etc. are due to my AV and firewall programs interfering - but they seldom speak up while I'm trying so I'm not sure. When I do anything phone-related again though I'll be disabling them.
Its because of the DroidDream malware. Since they use the same exploit, its now automatically assumed bad.
No need to remove it, it cant hurt any x86/Windows systems at all
It uses 39 percent of my battery and I never opened the program since I bought the phone. What can I do about it?

if you dont want to use it, just go to /sysmtem/app and find for that particular apk file and rename it to .bak.. and reboot

Or just use Delta Backup or one of the many software titles available to freeze applications.
Can anybody upload the video maker apk and odex files for me?

For those having issues with battery drain on oICS due to constantly downloading the OTA go to system/apps and rename downloadprovider.apk to downloadprovider.apk1, this should force close your system updates when you back out of it but leave gapps intact. I also fixed permissions in both download providers prior to this, don't know if that made any difference
DISCLAIMER: This will break all downloads so if you need something from the market or elsewhere you must take the 1 off
My time in media has been unchanged since I renamed

so i safestrapped and flashed jellybeans on one of the safestrap slots and everything was great.
i hadnt done anything major to my phone but i had a bunch of hidden files (mostly photos) in two files. one was stuff hidden directly from the gallery (select>move>"file name") and it worked great. no problems. another was a
backup" file with media i just moved into there with es file explorer.
two days ago, all of the sudden, gone. cant see it in the dialog when i try to move media in my gallery. i found the file in es file explorer and its empty. same with my backup file. what the hell?
i havent done anything major to my phone.what would cause this? how do i get them back?!
srs, need help
all the sudden, there is this folder called Undelete that showed up randomly. all the files are broken and the is 725+ of them. I'm guessing these are my photos I lost.
is there a way to use an external pc App to restore the files from my phone? I plugged it n and can't get anything to scan the internal memory.

I renamed the folder to recovery and tried to move it to the SD card, no luck.
Hi guys...
I want to show you how to get the multiple users mod on your huawei honor 6 running android M
prerequisite:
1_Android M (B803 already has it)
2_Rooted Phone (we can't do this without root)
3_A file manager that supports root exploring (recommended ES file manager)
How to:
In this tutorial I use ES file manager...
Run ES File manager
Go to :
Device/system/emui/base/prop/local.prop
Open the local.prop using ES Note Editor
Add those two line to end of the file and save it.
fw.max_users=4
fw.show_multiuserui=true
After saving this file restart your phone...
When phone starts
Go to the Settings app and voila!
You Can see the Users section there...
