LMAO so ill try that now and report back but does this way seem to fix this type of issue? i re did my phone thinking it would fix it but didn't, so hopefully this mount thing works

I found this on cyanogen site where c-apps were posted...

ok so the guy on twitter said the same thing you said mounted the system than re flash, and it worked, BUT at the same time CM says my ZNH snap wont work

It's not compatible with those old builds mentioned...
Don't try over them ...
Rest you can take nanoroid backup and try

I deleted my whole system...

Ok, so, I was trying to install a newer version of AOPK Rom for my Nexus 10 when I forgot that if you delete the whole system, it will remove the .zip too, so I did it and now I have nothing on my Nexus. If there is anything I can do to fix this please let me know I've only had this since christmas

Well it's pretty much a requirement when flashing AOSP-based firmwares like AOKP, Cyanogenmod, etc. Otherwise, you have little functionality as the Play Store and other crucial Google proprietary apps are not included with the firmware itself.
Follow the directions listed in the thread:
MAKE A NANDROID
wipe data/factory reset in recovery
flash ROM

BOOTLOOP

Hi guys, I flashed a jamal's 4.3 rom coming from omega's google edition rom and i did the usual stuff like I always have factory reset etc.. and i reboot the system and fix permissions as usual and my phone is now stuck on the omega's spinning boot up animation with the phone vibrating.
HELP!!!
Re-download the rom, could be a bad download. Did you check the md5sum?

It's a long alpha-numeric number that is associated with the file. Next time you download a rom look for it on the download page. When you down load a file the md5sum should match the original indicating a good download. There are apps that check the md5 and most file managers will show it in properties
ok, but how do i get out of the bootloop

If you've done the factory reset and that doesn't get you out I'm guessing the rom you flashed was a bad download. You made a nandroid backup before you flashed the rom, right. Boot back into recovery and restore it. Then re download the rom and try it again

Live and learn, I was afraid of that. You're probably going to have to use Odin then which will return you back to stock. And then start everything over again. Have you let the boot loop go for like 5 minutes. Sometimes it can take that long on first boot, but the vibration isn't normal.

Try flashing it again then. Do all the wipes first then flash it and then flash gapps. Did you flash the gapps package? I'm not sure what rom you're trying to flash but it probably requires gapps too.

gapps isn't on my phone so i cant flash it. i've flash it about ten times now and it won't work. it must be a bad download even though i flashed it before. after i flash the rom, it shows the boot animation of the rom i had been using before. werid huh? the only option i have now is to buy a micro sd card and put the rom on that and flash it that way. i really don't want to use odin.

You're just going to give up? Seriously? It's really easy to flash stock fw with Odin. And also easy to root afterwards, to each their own.

What do you mean giving up? I'm going to wait until my microSD card comes and then I will transfer the zip file that way. I don't have time to fiddle with odin. Besides I don't even have a pc, i have bootcamp, which takes a year to boot.

[Q] SD Card Issue

hey guys.. I rooted my GT-I9500 and am running on wanamlite ROM 4.0.. and the stock kernel.. recently I started getting crash reports every minute saying "unfortunately youube has closed". I tried finding a solution online, but nothing really helped.. in the end I wiped cache and tried doing a factory reset from recovery (philz recovery). suddenly I realized that it was erasing data on my memory card too, and in panic, I pulled it out manually.. after this when I switched the phone back on, the memory card seemed fine, but the crash message issue hadn't gone away.. so I flashed the official ROM via ODIN and re rooted my phone and flashed wanamlite 4.0 using CWM recovery.. now the SD card refuses to show up.. after hours of trial and error one method I found was going into recovery and mounting the SD card from the option "mounts and storage". but this works only for sometime and soon its back to the SD card not responding.. once it stops responding, gallery and camera doesn't open up (freezes) and the music player has no songs in it.. so I've to go into recovery every time this happens and mount via recovery.. can anyone please help?

Ooh, that's rough. I got into the stock recovery by doing this:

1. Power off
2. Press and hold the Vol - and Power button until the LG boot screen appears.
3. Release the Power button ONLY. Do not release the Vol - button.
4. After 1 second, press and hold the power button again. You should see the white recovery screen.
Use the Vol+/- to navigate and Power to select.

Huh, /system should be remountable as rw. The command should be something like this:
adb shell
mount -o remount,rw /system
Once you do that, you should be able to adb pull your build.prop, edit it, then adb push the fixed version.

Arh it didnt work, i think it was the first zip that i flash that i created myself, Think it might have broken the Firmware xd
I have a working recovery so its not a complete loss, Ill just wait until the release the appropriate firmware files or a custom ROM ;p
Unless you have any other ideas ... But beyond that, think there isnt much else I can do

Can't get rid of the Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped notification, Play Store isn't working anymore, tried "everything" (removing updates, removing Google account, downloading fresh Play and Services, etc.(no factory reset yet though) (factory reset done and now in bootloop mode)) so a flashable system zip would be awesome! :good:

You need to look at /tmp/recovery.log while in recovery (adb pull it if you have to). Look in it for the last file that it tried to read before it gave the error. Your options are either delete that file or pull it then delete it. However, the file is corrupt in some way and the backup will never finish.
Sorry I a noob on this, I was able to get the recovery.log and Attached it but i dont have any idea where to find the error. Please help

If you're fairly new to this then starting from a fresh install may be a better safeguard. However, you'll pick things up quicker if you determined enough. If you're simply wanting to remove the app BasicDreams, I went ahead and made modded a pre-existing flashable zip (all credit to Gizmo) just so you can remove that app. To use it, boot into recovery and flash it through there.
