MOD EDIT
Changed to more suitable attitude & language
Please try and be patient. You may find that no one has answered your query for a number of reasons.
1. They do not know answer
2. Question has been asked many times before and they believe you should search instead of asking query.
Either way, try and respect your fellow members and keep your attitude and language in check

This is what I used to unlock my Omnia 7 yesterday. Works great, just $20 from the fastgsm website and it unlocks via cable. FYI, I needed to install this driver before the software would see my omnia:
http://www.fastgsm.com/downloads/FastGSM_Swallowtail_5.02.0.0-1_for_Samsung.exe
You can unlock it simply using the Unlock code,You can buy the unlock code for this MOBILE from Online sites..You can get the unlock code from here Onlinegsmunlock.com and unlock it.
Hello , I bought a device LG-LS980 G2 32GB memory from ebay, but unfortunately it is locked to the provider of the country where US and does not work in my country Greece , I tried many times to contact the seller from ebay but I did not have any answer, and I would like if possible from someone who knows and has good mood to give me step by step instructions to unlock, the handset is locked to SPRINT .
I also check out the IMEI of the device delegation of LG in my country if stolen , luckily not ..... well in my country only released version of the device with 16GB memory.

Are you kidding? Why not to use search firstly?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49945052
Check out the other threads before posting.
There are plenty of threads on the subject
sorry, I am new to the area , I did search and found many threads about unlocking but got lost and it took off the edge , enough of what I have written seem somewhat alien , but I downloaded some tools ask me a password provider or technician LG, I do not want to do damage to the device and so I ask help from you that what you experienced also my English is not very good and some things you do not understand and that I do with google translator.
if it bothers you, my question and my ignorance I ask again apologize and ignore my issue.
You need just to root and edit build.prop in system folder.
Use the link i provide you.
You can root with iroot.

I Send them a e-mail. This is their response:
ear User,
Huawei Customer Service is pleased to be at your service, sorry for bringing you the trouble, if you want to unlock your phone, you should meet the condition as follows:
1.Please register your Huawei ID in our official website http://huawei.com/en/ on your PC.
2.Log in your Huawei ID on your phone for 14 consecutive days.
3.Each Huawei ID should not apply for the unlock code more than twice within half years.
If you meet the conditions, please go to http://emui.huawei.com/en/ and click the 'download' button to login your Huawei ID other than any other third party ID to apply for the unlock code. Please contact us by mail or local service hotline as follows if error message appears.
TEL: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=hotline
Mail: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=email
Please submit your mobile model, S/N, IMEI/MEID and error message in your e-mail. We also need to know that your phone is rooted, it can be out of the best working state and part of functions may not be able to work normally. In addition, the system is vulnerable to be invaded by viruses once your phone is permitted to unlock. What's more, for the lacking of fully tested, the third party software will not be compatible with your phone. Unlocking will bring unexpected negative impacts and the device will be not normal, and can not be restored, Huawei after-sales service office will not provide warranty service for your rooted phone, and you may bear the cost. So we strongly advise you to think it twice.
If you have any other problem, please send your feedback to us. We will be at your service to help you solve your problems.
Once again thank you for contacting Huawei device.
Best Regards.

Sorry for a tangent question.
The guide linked by OP is for ALE-L23 model, but would it work for ALE-L21? If that is unlikely, are there any guides for ALE-L21?
Finally, other than the model number, what else is important to match-up when trying to install custom roms?

what link?
very important -> model number (ale-l21 must be ale-l21 and not ale-l02 because they have another chipset)
important but fixable -> location (c432 must be c432 and not c034 (making things up))
also important but fixable -> dual sim and single sim
something to take into consideration -> android version
so if you have the next version ale-l21c432b564 don't flash ale-l02c69b049 over it

My phone is ALE-L23C605B140, so all sorts of different from what I see in those guides. Is it possible for me to downgrade/upgrade to a version that's compatible first, or do I just need to wait for a guide that works specifically for my phone?
My phone is also dual sim, and running Android 5.0.1 if that helps.

Good day, guys, thank you so much for accepting us in your forum! I'm very sorry for the post - if there is something like this already posted. I searched and nothing was shown. Please, transfer me to that thread if it already exists!
I've got a Galaxy S8 (950U) for a cheap, but that phone was on a lease. Has Rent-a-center lock. So when I'm trying to reinstall firmware with Odin - it doesn't go through because of MDM unlock thing. Please, help me - if there is any chance to recover it into a working phone? It will be so great )) I'll be so grateful for any help!

I think you will need to get the proper combination firmware for your phone, that's clear.
I'm not really familiarized with this kind of lock, but I assume that it can be bypassed, and almost sure you'll need the combination for that goal.
