Hello Friends
I have a (sadly) hard-bricked Galaxy A5 and the chances to revive it are really low ..
So I found out that you need the Unbrick.img file
It can be extracted from every Galaxy A5 (it should have the same Model)
So I wanted to ask you all who have a fully working A5 if any of you could do this for me and all the others who are desperately searching for those files ^-^

As far as I know .. there are 2 ways
1.Terminal Emulator
2. ADB
Terminal Emulator : "su (enter)
busybox dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1M count=128 (enter)"
ADB: "adb shell(enter)
su(enter)
busybox dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1M count=128 (enter)"

I copied the img to an microsd using Win32diskImager but the phone doesn`t boot .
I`ve inserted the card into the phone, tried entering download mode manually or with a JIG . Nothing works.

2.Download the supersu zip provided in the attatchment below.
3.Flash it in TWRP.

I just looked into the ZIP and it seems like(it is actually) Chainfire SuperSU flashable ZIP. I think it is not fair to take others work rename it, upload it by yourself and simply repost it. There are even no credits.

Here you go.. TWRP v2.8.2.0 Credits to @ashwin007. though the post say its v2.8.1.0, on flashing and entering TWRP you'll notice its version v2.8.2.0. Flash the img file via fastboot.
After that enter TWRP and flash SuperSU zip. Download the latest version from here and place it in your phone memory beforehand.
Voila, you're rooted. Quote me if ya need any more help. :good:
PS: Share this post in any thread where users ask the same thing and help other Lollipop users to get rooted.

If you find your TWRP settings getting reset after a reboot, go to TWRP>Advanced and Swipe to perform fix permissions..
The next time you enter TWRP after this, tweak your settings and they'll not get reset anymore. :good:

On a serious note, looks like link2sd has deprecated support for loolipop. Tough luck.

No I don't like to partition SD card...so never linked them..but moving to SD card does a good job

I just got a soft brick with the touch one. Might just be my mistake. And error 6 basically means that I have typo in my Install script. Will fix it today.

On 5.0.1 bootloader do not allow flashing, he needs to be in 6.0

I do all the update from Huawei, now is in B610, Android 6.0

Hmm, seems no one will help you! But I will.
1. Download this https://mega.nz/#!1zo1gDgS
2. Extract it on TWRP folder at backup section ( if you don't have, create it on local SD card TWRP>backup>yournameoridk
3. Make sure you have backup on your current state, I am not responsible for any damage!
4. Boot in TWRP
5. restore these files and wipe danvik and cache!
6. Reboot to system.
7. Go to About Phone and if you see IMEI you are lucky, if not, better buy new phone!

Are you trying to flash new Flyme Nougat based? If you delete some files in the package it will give you error. You need to replace unlocked bootloader and recovery file if you want to keep previous unlocked bootloader and recovery before flashing.
I get a could not find meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary if i just delete the files (flyme 6), what i'm doing wrong?
It is hard bricked so I need it in order to boot from SD card

Where is the .img file? It's a .gz that contains a file with no extension.

Extract the gz and you will get UNBRICK_IMG just add the .IMG extension to the end of that file. Should be around 200MB

If I boot into download mode using the SD card then use Odin to flash the firmware is it going to be flashed on the internal storage or on the SD card?

It will flash on internal storage.
Once the firmware is flashed its like starting with a new device, no SD card is needed

Yeah but I tried booting into download mode (without pressing volume up to confirm) then removed the SD card then pressed volume up and Odin said it found no PIT file. Trying now to flash keeping the SD card in during the process.
