I just updated to Indian marshmallow firmware. Is it possible to install root and recovery to marshmallow?
you can boot temporary with twrp recovery and install SuperSU 2.62 or install twrp and then SuperSU 2.62
Your guidance give my mxp root and recovery. but renaming without img as twrp and fastboot flash recovery twrp.img command flash the recovery. then flashing supersu via recovery is very easy,and dont install supursu if twrp prompt ask to install.,again thank you very much.
Hy there i wanted to root my huawei p8 and i readed the topic in the forum. , but just after see that "andorid 6.0 marshallow(emui 4.0) is not supporting , endless bootloop , so i ****ed up and i need help beacuse i want to downgrade my phone to emui 3.1 and android 5.0 or 5.1 lolipop to get rooted , sorry for terrible english guys i hope you can help me
Install this TWRP if you are on adroid 6.0 now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65499548&postcount=564
Then boot into TWRP and go to terminal and write without the quotation "echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu"
Download SuperSU v2.67 https://download.chainfire.eu/897/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip
Install SuperSU zip through TWRP.
That helped for me rooting phone on android 6.0.
Awesome! I was struggling with the bootloop after installing the regular TWRP version. This solved it! Have pressed the Thanks button but still wanted to appreciate!

Hello I need help. I'm on Lollipop and when the custom ROM I want to update says I need Marshmallow bootloader and also TWRP. So is this TWRP is enough or I need the new Marshmallow bootloader too? Where can I find that bootloader? Thank you very much.
