Two identical phones, one broken the other is stock [Note 4 910H ] - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have a problem with one of my phones. The one phone that isn't working the way it should goes as following
Rom : The TeamEos Project [5-20151015-NIGHTLY-treltexx]
Baseband : TEST1
Kernel : 3.10-g9c9bafa [[email protected] #1] (some TeamEos kernel that followed the rom )
Buildnumber : eos_treltexx-userdebug 5.1.1 LVY48F 36d89b5523 test-keys
And the device model is actually SM-N910H but it says SN_N910C
The phone doesn't always do what it's suppose, like camera, mic, connecting to wifi.
Also when i start the phone on the top left corner it says: KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
I do however have a phone that i stock and never touched.
Is there anything i can do to restore this phone to stock or stable?

Found a fix. Put my phone in Download mode and used Samsung kies to restore it
Kies fixed it. Even had a problem where when the phone turned on it would display random colors in lines or whatever was on the phone before it shut down. Kies fixed that too.

[Q] Bricked WIFI module?

Hard- and Software specifications:
Modelnumber: GT-P6800, bought in Austria
Android Version: 3.2
Baseband: P6800XXLA3
Kernel-Version: 2.6.36-P6800XXLA-CL614409 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 5
Buildnumber: HTJ85B.XXLA3 P6800XXLA3
History:
I successfully rooted my device with root_P6800_P6810.zip according to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21930246&postcount=7
In the following hours I installed, updated and used a couple of apps, among them LBE and Permissions Denied. I didn't do anything spectacular to the device IMO.
It's hard to remember, but I dare to day, that somehow Permissions Denied is involved in the "death" of the WIFI module, as it was one of the last actions on the device.
No matter how hard I try, it's no longer possible for me to receive any data over WLAN as well as GSM/3G.
It's however odd to see that the P6800 is still connected to my WLAN router and replies to PINGs.
Phone calls are still possible.
Measures I did so far:
At first I checked every possible setting that is associated with the device, WLAN and so on.
I did a factory reset through the corresponding phone code. No cure.
Having read numerous of threads and postings in XDA I successfully reverted back to P6800XXLA3_P6800OXALA3_ATO, most likely the firmware the P6800 came originally with, through Odin. But no cure for the WIFI module.
Strangely, I can still see an icon for "Superuser"(?)
I would be pleased if some kind soul could help me to get my device out of the state it is currently in.
Thanks.
You should try doing a factory reset (under settings->privacy). That's the reason that the Superuser app is still there, though it shouldn't work any more since you flashed a stock ROM. If it still doesn't work after that, you could try reflashing a stock ROM through Odin, but if your router is still seeing your tab, then it's probably not a hardware problem.
FULL wipe in CWM recovery, including System partition etc
Then immediately boot into download mode and flash your stock firmware.
Edit : if all good, root and reinstall CWM recovery again

[Q] s4 4.4.2 stock, will not allow install other mod!

Hello,
Being fet-up with samsungs useless bloatware now constantly asking for agreeing new legal and other, I wanted to go towards a rom that allows full control on what MY phone should or should not do or install!
I managed to root the s4 (not branded, orignal samsung so no sprint or At&T,...) tripping the stupid knox , but I do not realy care as I do not trust these solutions to be great, if some other samsung pushed solutions do not work either.
Nevertheless, I seem to be stuck not able to flash a new rom. I'm simply not getting in the recovery mode of CWM or something else.
I tried rom manager, which says : cwm flashed, I tried sgs4 Flasher, I tried ODIN troiugh computer. It all says "flashed, but when I want to get into the flash, I do not get the full menu, seems to be a standard Samsung flash rather then a mod flash recovery.

After a long day of trial and error, i finally manged to get it to work, by activating recovery from standard functioning within the clockworkmod APK program from google play store
Via the 3 buttons (volume up/down | power | and home, it never worked to get in the clockwork or other custom recovery.
Maybe samsung pushed within its latest update a blocage (i received around mid september 2014, probably an older update), a blockage with the buttons so that getting into an fresh installed recovery is kinda not possible and it keeps reinstalling the stock one over it......anyway, now it works...

[Q]SOLVED Noob GT-I9505 WIFI dead after upgrd 4.4.2 searched and tried all solutions

First of all please forgive me for opening yet another S4 wifi problem after kitkat upgrade, but I have tried everything I could possibly find here, on youtube and other forums. The only thing left to try is flash the modem but I'd rather ask before I brick my phone
I'm not quite sure if this is the same issue every single time or if in my case it is due to my ignorance and errors. I was an iphone/unlock/jailbreak user until last year so please bear with me. Android is new and fun (but scary) territory to me.
Situation, what I did and possible mistakes on my side:
-I'm in Spain but I bought my factory unlocked phone on amazon and it was for the Polish market (GT-I9505 Black, 16 Gb)
-My device was rooted don't even remember how I did it last year so no useful info on that side a part of using odin for windows.
- Until yesterday I was on jellybean, not quite sure if 4.2.2 or 4.3
- Yesterday I upgraded to 4.4.2 via mobile odin and yes I checked the boxes about clearing/deleting cache or whatever it's called.
- Used a stock firmware downloaded from other site (that one starting with "S" and with a great amount of firmwares for samsung devices of several countries)
- I chose a firmware randomly (maybe this was my mistake) because I hade read that the firmware was not that important and people where usimg leaked german firmwares on on phones from elsewhere. But I did choose one that matched the country of my phone (XEO/XX Poland)
- Everything is working fine but without wifi I'm buying new Mb bundles almost every 2 hours and I'll be broke very soon
If you guys think the solution is flashing the modem which file should I use? I see lots of them with different models/codes and I'm completely lost and have read a lot about messing with bootloaders/modems etc bricking devices so I'm freaking scared and ask for your charitative help!
All the info I could gather about my device right now (now I know I should have gathered this info also before attempting to upgrade but it's too late now!

1. Reflash the STOCK I9505XXUGNG8 (XEO) firmware via ODIN.
2. Let the process finish and reboot normally.
3. Dial *#1234# and have to appear this:

CP: I9505XXUGNG8
CSC: I9505YXZGNH2
4. Reflash again if not. Good luck
Thank you so much for your helpful reply Joku1981 !!!!! You made my day!!!
Can I do that with Mobile Odin??? My PC broke (Graphics card burnt) and until a couple of months won't be able to buy a new one.
To make sure I understand you: You mean Flash again the same firmware I used to upgrade to 4.4.2 in the first place?
I used this Firmware: I9505XXUGNG8_I9505YXZGNH2_XEO
should I try Flashing that same Stock Firmware again? and if does not work keep reflashing until the baseband and the bootloader get updated?
Why did they not update ? is this common or an error on my side???
I hope it can be done with mobile Odin since I can keep my root status, If I have to do it in Desktop Odin do I have to Re-Root after flashing???
Thank you so much for you kind help!!!!!!

SOLVED!!!!!
After nobody answered if I could use again "mobile Odin" to flash once more and try to fix my wifi not working I opened mobile odin and it gave me a warning about my version and having a wrong bootloader as a possibility of soft bricking my phone so I decided to stay away of mobile Odin this time.
I used desktop Odin (at work since my pc broke) and exactly the same firmware file downloaded from sammobile (but re-downloaded it just in case) and had to flash twice, the first time it went through the whole process ok right until the end where it showed the FAIL message.
I didn't know if I should turn off the phone stuck in download mode and with the process bar at 100 % or retry flashing without turning it off. So I decided not to turn it off (afraid it would get soft bricked or something). I closed mobile Odin but left phone On with download mode screen active and opened mobile Odin again got the "added"message and the blue color showing it was properly connected to the phone and started flashing process again....
I started getting red error messages saying the progress bar display was wrong (and it wasn't updating/kept stuck in the previous 100%) but after it finished it was flashed and everything was ok. WIFI WORKED!!!!!!
Now the weird part.....in case this happens /helps someone else:
- My phone DID NOT get wiped. My launcher and my apps stayed intact (I thought flashing even the same firmware always wiped data, I'm I wrong???)
- All my root apps (root explorer, titanium backup, so on and so forth) where there and working fine. One root checker stated I was rooted and another one stated I wasn't but even my launcher (nova) was working just as if I never flashed the phone.
- Since I was unsure of my "root" state and I did not have "supersu" app in my apps drawer I tried installing it via playstore but It always gave an error message (the application could not be installed in the default location)
- I rooted again just in case and the root process finished without errors but still I had no "supersu" app and one root checker said I was rooted and the other I wasn't. Tried installing "supersu" from the playstore but same error and could not get installed.
- I searched here and in other forums for similar problems/solutions but nothing worked until I tried several things that fixed the problem. Not really sure which fixed it so I will write them down in the order I did them:
1. Opened folder mount which I already had installed and it gave me an error and asked me to try the fix which I did.
2. Opened linked2sd which I already had installed also previous to the firmware flash. It gave me an error and asked me which was the partition to use (as when I first installed it) in my case it was ext4. And it seemed to start working as it normally does. No further error when reopening it.
3. Rebooted the phone and tried entering recovery mode to wipe cache etc but It never entered recovery mode. I get the message about going into recovery mode (top left corner small red letters) But right after that it reboots and I get the samsung logo and my home screen.
4. Tried reinstalling supersu again and no success. (By the way before I did all this steps I tried rooting again but got to the same point. No supersu on my apps drawer)
5. Downloaded BusyBox install (opened it but did not use it in any way, maybe something in the installation fixed my problem)
6. Opened mobile Odin just for curiosity sake and it opened fine and asked for downloading of the extra stuff as when I installed it the first time. After that I closed it
7. Rebooted normally (no recovery mode since I'm stuck without it)
8. Tried installing "supersu" and NOW it worked!!!
9. Checked in both root checker apps and both confirm I'm rooted and supersu started asking for granting permissions to apps again as it normally does!
10. Everytime I attempted flash, root, and even after some reboots I took the battery off (since I read in several threads it helped/was mandatory)
Conclusion now my WIFI problem is fixed, my root problem (that appeared doing the reflash for fixing my wifi problem) is also fixed. The only thing I could not fix is not being able to get into recovery mode.
Does anyone know a solution for recovering the ability to get into recovery mode????
Thanks to Joku for lighting me into re flashing once and again until my wifi was fixed!

SM-G900F CM12.1 ERROR "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL"

CyanogenMod 12.1 ERROR "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL"
Hi. I am working on a brand new Samsung SM-G900F i.e. a Samsung Galaxy s5.
I shall explain how I have got where I have got below - which ended up with a rooted, working phone running CyanogenMod 12.1, Android 5.1.1 and with the GAPPS (Google Apps) on it, but the question is simply this: -
"How do I get rid of the error message that appears when I boot at the top left of the screen
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL
?"
I have set out the following in detail, in case the sequence of steps I undertook will assist other users, or enable them to recognise whereabouts in the sequence they are experiencing errors.
1) I am in the UK. The phone is a brnd new, boxed Samsung SM-G900F which uses LTE (it says so on the box, whatever LTE is).
2) The phone is not network locked: I bought it from MobilePhonesDirect (a big online retailer here in the UK) but I have a Vodafone (UK) SIM card in it, and it has hitherto worked. I am porting a number across to it such port taking effect today.
3) On the new phone I downloaded an upgrade to Android 5.0. I then encrypted the phone which took less than an hour, but quite a long time nonetheless.
4) This wasn't good enough! I wanted Android 5.1 or Android 5.1.1, so ....
5) I connected the phone to my Windows 10 PC via USB, and I attempted to use Kies. This told me to use a newer product called Smart Switch to communicate with the phone. I installed this and was able to communicate.
6) I used ODIN 3.07 to flash things to the phone. I flashed CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltejv-smg900fq and I successfully rooted the phone. Upon boot it was still running Android 5.0 and it was still encrypted.
7) I flashed ClockWorkMod (CWM) to the phone, this version: g900f-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.7
8) I flashed the following zip files to the phone [TN]-VM12.1-20150327-2.0.0-klte and gapps-5.1.x-20150324-minimal-edition-signed.
9) The phone started to boot, but I got the Cyanogenmod 12.1 "Encryption Unsuccessful" message and it would not get past that.
10) I read up. I had used the wrong Cyanogenmod file, I think. I then discovered that as the phone would not boot I was unable to get any files onto it.
11) I then, from CWM, did a factory reset, wiped the cache, and wiped the Dalvik cache
12) I discovered the wonderful, wonderful ADB feature in CMW. I managed to find a piece of software called fastboot.zip. Eventually I worked out the sequence of commands and the syntax (thanks to a YouTube video which I wished to link to but I cannot find what it was I used last night!).
12) I flashed these two slightly different CyanogenMod 12.1 / GAPPS files to the phone: cm-12.1-20150428-UNOFFICIAL-klte.zip and gapps-lpmr1-20150324-signed.zip.
13) It still had errors. I went back to CWM and I "unmounted" and "formatted" this, that and everything, and I eventually got those two zips to work.
13) The phone now functions effectively, BUT ....
14) I still get the error message
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL
The above took me about 4 and a half hours in total, watching YouTube tutorial videos etc etc.
I am very grateful for all of those who share their knowledge. I would love it if someone knew how to get rid of that error message. I read something about it being Samsung Knox. I tried to run a command line command from a terminal emulator on the phone, but I got an error message.

(to quote Duran Duran!)
This error is normal because CM12.1 has unsecured kernel. CM12.1 Kernel doesn't support SEAndroid and is not secured so that's why you are getting this error.

Many thanks. Would you have any idea how I can work around this? When using CM 12.1 and Android 5.1 on my Galaxy SIII up until yesterday there has been no issue (except the fundamental crash issue on power loss reported in my post today elsewhere on this Forum!).
Any tips would be appreciated, and at least I now know it is CM 12.1 not any of the other permutations and combinations of my set-up. I thought of posting on here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/
All the best,

Bluetooth Issue since Bootloader/Modem update PDA G935FXXU5ESD2 and CSC G935FVFG5ESD3

Hello community,
I am asking your knowledge about a recent Bootloader Update.
Long story short : I was running my hero2lte on a rooted custom ROM for about 2 years and recently decided to upgrade to the latest android as the threads on this forum were showing good feedbacks.
I was on Android 8.0.0 with Baseband G935FXXU3ERHC . Everything was doing perfectly fine expect some little freezes mainly caused by Xposed Framework :cyclops:.
So One Day♪ baby w'will be old♬ I decided to jump in and install the Latest LineageOS 16 (that was early Augustus 2019)
The instructions on the thread ask to get the latest Bootloader and Modem. What I did from SamMobile. Here
I flashed those two files with Odin 3.13.3 and it PASSED flawlessly.
Then I Wiped everything and went thro the Aroma install process, re-root, and finally booted my Rom. But when the phone started I realized my Bluetooth was not working. I tried to pair many bluetooth devices.
Here is what I already tried to get my bluetooth back :
1. I tried different ROMs --> bluetooth very unstable or not connecting at all
2. I tried to flash other Modems version but they all gave me this problem --> My sim card is not detected
3. I tried to flash many different (compatible) older Bootloaders --> Odin FAILS to flash and my phone become almost bricked with them all. (Have to flash back BL and Modem from sammobile FXXU5ESD2)
My phone is G935F International version (with latest TWRP).
I'm am now using lastest LightROM Android 9.0 and it is very stable !! But I can't get my bluetooth to connect any device, or even when it does connect, the volume goes crazy or it disconnects randomly.
Also Mobile Network is showing 4G instead of 4G+ but that not a big deal.
My actual Bootloader information :
Current Binary : Custom
System Status : Custom
FRP Lock : OFF
Secure Mode : Enable
Warranty Void : 1 ( of course)
RP SWREV : B:5 K:3 S:4
Any help or hint would be strongly appreciated

I flashed another version from SamMobile (this version XEF)
PDA G935FXXS5ESF8 and CSC G935FOXA5ESF8
Booted it, no problem, I was on Android 8.0.0 unrooted as predicted. Bluetooth working as usual on 8.X Android versions.
Installed TWRP again, Rooted again.
Than I did a clean install of BlackDiamond v4.0.
MY BLUETOOTH IS WORKING FLAWLESSLY ON ANDROID PIE. :feelsgooodman:
This post can be deleted of left here in case someone has the same problem one day.
