WiFi signal is lost when the upper part is covered - Zuk Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have this phone for about 6 months now and this is the issue that's bothering me the most. If I cover the the upper part of the phone (probably where the WiFi antenna is?) with my hand, the WiFi signal is decreased to one bar or completely lost. This makes the phone totally unusable when holding horizontal. Also, since I flashed ColdBirds CyanogenMod 13, the WiFi is also almost unusable when I connect my headphones - this hasn't happend before. Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue or is it completely hardware related? Has anyone opened the phone and tried to fix this for himself (probably the antenna is somehow missplaced or something?). Does this problem also exist on ZUI? Is anyone else facing the same problem and by any chance has a fix for it?
Many thanks!

Cellular connection lost and unable to reconnect

I don't know if anyone has experienced this but I've noticed that occasionally cellular connection will be dropped and it will not reconnect regardless of time and coverage. It also seems isolated to my phone. It was like that since I got it I think. Only fix is to reboot at which point connection will be reestablished immediately.
Anyone know of a fix or have the same experience?
Newer stock roms have not fixed it nor has custom kernel. I'm considering trying to see if a custom rom does the trick.
I hope it's not a hardware problem. Would be a pain to try and cover up all I've done to my phone
Bump. I think it's a hardware issue. It's like the radio deactivates itself or loses power. A search for network providers doesn't seem to come up with anything. Only a reboot solves it as mentioned.
No one else has this issue?

GPS Issue fixed

I had no end of issues woth GPS Signals on my N9005 and I fixed it myself, after trying every solution I could find.
Nothing worked amd I was beginning to think it was interference from another device but when my phone crashed, I went to remove the battery and found 5 screws on the back was loose and turned about 10 times. Now all fixed, I'm puzzled as to why they came loose but hopefully this post helps someone else with a similar issue.

[Q] Wi-Fi Antenna - damage

So I may have ****ed my Wi-Fi Antenna or hopefully some sort of software setting.
I tore down my Note 3 to examine the ear-piece cause it stopped working. However after putting everything back together again, I noticed the Wi-Fi range has DRASTICALLY reduced. To the point where if it is more than 2 meters away Wi-Fi will not work. However if I am right next to the router it works swimmingly.
The Wi-Fi reception signals reflect this as well. Used to get okay strength from everywhere within the house (even upto 10m away through bricks etc) and now pretty much range is useless.
Was wondering if anyone else had experience similar problems after tear downs? and if maybe there is a setting that auto resets when you unplug the antenna. I had absolutely no problems when disconnecting it and looking at the headers again, they seem to be okay.... no physical damage noted. Just wanted to get some opinions before i get a new replacement that may not even help.

Network issues (Data)

I'm experiencing issues with the network, I often have to go to plane mode then disable it to get my connection back (I always have the 4G logo on screen, but internet pages won't load, facebook either, well everything) I'm seeing posts about the WiFi issue, but nothing about this, am I the only one experiencing this ? It occurs every 5 minutes or so, pretty annoying when you are in the middle of a youtube video or so..)
Thank you in advance !
I could say I have the same issue.
I realize this post is 2 months old but I also have this exact same problem. Data on WiFi works perfectly fine. On actual mobile data though it works great for a long period of time (hours - days) then suddenly gets horrible. Disabling and re-enabling data seems to fix it most of the time, then it works great again for a good while.
Would this indicate a software glitch? I've been wondering if I should try some custom ROMs. Or would it be a problem with the physical antenna or data module in the phone?
I'm on the verge of sending it back under warranty but if it's software maybe something else can be done to fix.

Network Reception Weakened/dead (US996)

My phone suddenly started having trouble with network reception yesterday. I have relatively poor reception in my area, but I still used to have 2-3/5 bars. Now I have no reception at all. And in other areas it does have reception but I never see it go up to 5 bars. The network bar icon keeps rotating for a while and then just ends with a cross. Today even the mobile networks settings menu option was grayed out until I restarted the phone.
I havent changed anything on the phone. No problems with water or any other hardware damage happened as far as I know. The only recent things that changed were that I got a 4200mah battery (which kinda makes the back cover bulge a bit or pop open easily) and I changed the phone from whatever stock based nougat rom I had been running for the last 1.5 years to a stock based oreo rom. But both these changes happened about a week ago, and everything worked fine until yesterday.
Anyone else had a problem like this or know what this could be? I'm gonna try reinstalling the rom and restoring the previous battery but if these things don't solve it I might have to move on to something else, which I really dont want to do as nothing out there really appeals to me.
Who is your carrier? Which specific model phone do you have?
I also have problems with calling the function on my f800l. At some places, I cant make a phone call but mobile data works just fine. And if i try and keep on calling the network resets.
