Is anyone out there have this "Information Message" in the notification bar? This has been in my notification bar before accidentally updating to lollipop. I can't understand what's in the information message 'cause it's mostly in Chinese. Don't want to just press OK to make it go away. Even pressing clear at the bottom of the notification bar won't make it go away. TIA to anyone who can help

Long press and go to info to see what's giving the message (may be spoofing a system message).
Also try safe mode and see if it persists.

With the Sense UI the message icon showed a number in a red little circle when I had messages waiting.
With the new ADW launcher I just got, the message icon doesn't show anything.
I'd only know if I have a message by looking at the notification bar.
And while on the subject of message notification, is there a way to keep the notification LED blinking until the message is checked? (Rather than turning off after a minute)
Thanks again.

Search the Market for an app called ADW Notifier. I use it. I believe it's what you're looking for. Adds the little circle notification and has lots of options.
It'll look like this

can you show me for a details ?
I don't know what's happened or going on, but I jave no quick settings in the notification panel!
Even in the settings part on the panel, it's completely void of any toggles to select.
I've just set up the phone to how I like it, so I'd REALLY like to avoid a factory reset if possible (assuming that would fix it)
Any help would be appreciated.
Did you check the main settings to make sure they didn't get disabled?

That is all completely blank, and when you tap that red circled settings button, no icons show up in the screen that takes you to either.

How can you disable them?
I'm sure I didn't do that.
I had exactly the same problem after doing a factory reset. But another factory reset fixed it..
You'll lose your data, so back up first.

I am misisng the "do not disturb" toggle in the notification area when I swipe down. Even If I try customizing the toggles, the "do not disturb" is missing.
Anyone? I can't find a way to activate/deactivate "Do not disturb" easily as now I have to go thru settings.
Thanks
What ROM are you running?
I have just tried this on mine and it is showing in the toggles menu

Same version (though a custom kernel and a UK carrier though that wouldn't change things).
When you pull down the notifications bar up top and click edit what is shown there? screenshot if possible
It is not there
I tried also with fix from Samsung or the app here on xda, with no avail
I had no other toggles missing, only do not disturb
this is driving me nuts... I just saw a video on youtube where the toggle is there...

If you have Good Lock you'll need to turn on the battery icon manually. That's the only thing that comes to mind.

I have not installed Good Lock on my mobile. I see them when I switch to Power Mode, and it stays for sometime...and then goes away. Attached screenshot for reference.
