Hi! I have a TMobile Grand Prime and I want to do something to get all the preloaded apps off! I have loaded a custom rom before, I just haven't been able to find what I need. It is all stock now.

Follow that if your Prime is on 5.1.1 I just did this an hour ago and removed the preloaded crap with Titanium Backup

Hi XDAians.
Guys i own a Samsung galaxy S4-I9505 and few months ago i tried root it and some how i did it successfully and later i unrooted it again i am using back the same stupid touchwiz but the problem i am facing is,
1.My phone doesnt gets automatic updates.(i have to do it manually by downloading firmware from samfirmware and then installing it through Odin)
2.Knox cant be installed.
3.The camera app sucks to the coreeeee auto focus sucks every time i get a blued image. out of 5 i only get one clear image
3.After my 4.4.2 update, i cant hide apps. And the touchwiz is so much bad compared to 4.3 .
So my question is is there any way i can fix those above problems?
Now i am willing to root it back again hence i wanted to know which custom rom comes with all the system apps and software(such as wifi direct etc etc) pre installed as touchwiz and which lets me free do play with it!!!
last time i installed CM i didnt have wifi at all and it was really a mess to get that (actually i didnt ) so unfortunately had to get back to touchwiz .
Guys please link me to full root tutorials and how to install custom rom too.

People, I've searching in web and I found out that a new version of Galaxy Grand Prime have been released, but this new one has Android Lollipop. Mobile spects are the same in both, except for the OS.
This mean that the ones that have G530~ version aren't getting Lollipop?
There is a video on Youtube of an unboxing, you can check it out
Good Luck!

OP seems to be referring to the above link. It appears Sprint is roling out the same device with lollipop for some $60-100 more than we paid Cricket to get it with KK during the initial release.

Hi, I was ready to install CWM Recovery on my Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G531H phone which I guess it is running Lollipop but I started reading about Lollipop.
Now I have a question. What is the problem if my phone is running Lollipop? I don't understand if could be a problem if I want to install CWM and then rooting it.
Are you so kind to tell me about this?
Can I use the same CWM files that is made for Prime SM-G530H?
Can I use the same files made for Prime SM-G530H if I want to root it? Or where I can get these file?
Of course all of these question don't need to be answered. I just need to figure it out what I need to do.
Thanks.

Dont know about CWM recovery..BUT..I'm sure..TWRP recovery and Root exploit must match to OS version..the files are not interchangable between OS versions..unless it just happens to work out that way in development..but that'd probably be a RARE case..
I ALWAYS update..AFTER know good TWRP and Root has been developed for the next update..before I step to the next OS version..
But..like my device here..came from the box with 5.1.1 THEN one is stuck with no TWRP or Root..at the mercy of development..
You may try to revert..to the OS..when all your files were compatable..and wait it out for the next development..

Hi Guys,
I have a Note 3 (India) which I rooted sometime back. I did not install any Custom ROM but I did remove
KNOX, Kids Mode and more things using Titanium Backup.
Now, I heard that the Marshmallow update for Note 3 will be available soon OTA ( as it is already out in Canada), so I was
wondering if I would be able to install it. I know I wont be able to install it in the present condition, so I need your help in knowing
how can I do it. Someone said that I need to install the Stock ROM, but I don't which version, serial etc to use.
HELP!

You heard wrong no MM for Note 3 .
A factory reset should restore your Note 3 .
Yup, definitely no MM for any Note 3, not just Canada.
Hey I haven't been rooting in awhile because I just been to busy to really rest new features and whatnot I've just been using my device as your average consumer. But I just got a note 4 for a very sweet deal and want to get back into rooting. My phone is unlocked on metropcs it is a tmobile model that's fully updated with the latest firmware and stuff. I just would like to get a decent bloat free touchwiz rom because I would like yo use the fingerprint feature but every touchwiz rom I try flashing doesn't work. I haven't tried cm 12 yet. Can someone point to the right direction please just want a simple rom with touchwiz main features not even all of them lol
What recovery do you have? You should be on last TWRP 3.0.2 and also check your Bootloader and Modem if you need to update them with ODIN.
Hi everyone,
3 weeks ago I received my Le Pro 3 with original multilingual software (german).
Since there were too many useless Chinese apps I decided to root my device and delete all the unnecessary stuff.
Now a new Update (5.9.026s) has been released and I tried several ways to upgrade.
None of them are working.
I hope you can help me out and tell me if there is a possibility to upgrade without flashing the stock firmware via twrp first.
Thanks in advance
No way - afaik. Since KitKat its impossible to get OTA-Updates with a modified device. You have to go back to Stock without root first - you'll find a lot of howto's in this forum. But after all i read here about this 026S-update i guess it isn't worth the whole procedure. I'm pretty satisfied with my debloated 023S-Stock rom and I wouldn't change a thing until there comes an offical Nougat-update maybe some fine day!

Thanks.
I guess I'm waiting for an official Nougat-Update too for going back to stock and upgrading.
