My son got an att Grand Prime from Walmart with the model SM-G530AUC. Firstly, i can find no record of that model anywhere. He rooted with Kingroot and upon powering off and back on, he gets the message SECURE FAIL: KERNEL and the yellow triangle along with a message saying to take it to an att store. He lives in another state so I am trying to walk him through fixing it with Kies......
*Edit -Flashing SM-G530A through Odin fixed it

Okay, so i'm usually pretty good at these things but last night I soft bricked my daughter's Samsung Galaxy S4 by trying to flash a zip through Mobile Odin (it's been a while). Well now her phone will only go into recovery and download mode. I've tried everything...when I try to flash through TWRP recovery I get a binary update error but when I try to use Odin I get stuck on "setup connection" or fail at "Nand Write". The only thing that was successful was CF-Auto root through Odin. Here's is where it gets crazy, I bought the phone as a gift from a random store and we are using the phone on Simple Mobile's network, but it is a Sprint phone AND the previous owner apparently had it rooted, so it boots as T-Mobile. What do I do??? Please help, this was her Christmas gift and now I feel bad!!! :crying:
Can someone please advise what causes this FRP lock?
Heres what happened.
I have a S6 Edge+
I bought a new S6 Edge+ dual sim
I took the sim out of my old phone and setup the new phone
After setting it all up I switched off my old phone
When I switched it back on, it came up with this error and turns itself off straight away
On the old phone I NEVER rooted or flashed any roms (custom or official)
Would enabling OEM unlock avoid this?
The phone is with Samsung now and their repairers want to charge me half the cost of the phone to replace the main PBA because they say the warranty is void!
Don't do it its a rip off I've just restored my Galaxy S6 edge plus after trying to root it with little success as the root programs aren't very stable at this point. Any ways my phone got bricked in "Custom Binary block by FRIDAY Lock" mode straight out of the box and I did some research and discovered that flashing the Original firmware via Odin restored it to perfect working order with the exception of Knox switch ed on and the Samsung pay app rendered non functional. You can download the firmware at Sammobile.com for free or faster download pay there cheapest subscription, which is what I did.
I have escalated it to the Samsung managers to try and get the fee waived.
If they wont then Ill just take the phone back and see if I can flash the right rom.
What I dont understand is why it locked in the first place.....I have never flashed any custom roms or rooted that phone.

What did you do to cause this though? Did you root or flash custom rom?
I also had this issue. I rooted my device successfully but afterwards I turned off oem unlock and rebooted my phone. This resulted in the frp lock issue. Flashing the stock firmware via odin got rid of it.

Please help me. I have battled and I’m at my wits end. Anything is possible.I am in desperate need of a phone.I brought a phone off of Craigslist that is googled lock. I will enclosed screenshots. After some reading it seems that I was blessed with a phone that has factory reset protection. This protection is incredible.please,I know there is a way to do this because there are a couple guys that advertise unlocking frp phones for 100.00 bucks. Can’t pay that.
The phone is a Samsung galaxy s5 tmobile sm-g900t3 firmware g900t3uvsgpi1 6.01
1.i used sidesync ….it didn’t recognize the phone.
2. I tried using Odin to downgrade the firmware in hopes of removing frp.i was giving the error in Odin “nand write start! Fail auth. The phone screen showed sw rev check fail [abot] fused 3> binary
3.i tried 2Otb cables. Neither was recognized by the phone.
4.i got closest with real term.after I inserted “atd 123 ;\r\n
I was directed to ]http. ://goo .gl/ hk80wd.....after hitting enter...
I received the msg..” your request has been denied for security reasons “
Please help me defeat this issue.
I have a s7 edge I got through sprint. I flashed smg935u firmware, a couple weeks later, took it to cell store to have them unlock it, and they did. custom with unlocked symbol. I had problems with texting, couldn't change apn settings, so they told me to flash back to the sprint firmware. I was on smg935u android 7.0, and my dumb ass wasn't paying any attention and tried flashing to smg935p android 6.1. so now my phone is soft bricked and stuck in a bootloop. someone please help me. what can I do? I have tried various firmwares with both odin 3 12 3 and odin princecomsy. this is pretty much the extent of my knowledge. someone please help me get this working again. I keep getting the sw rev check fail abort fused 4 binary 2 and its hard to even get into download mode. I can not get into bootloader mode at all.

I know sometimes if you let the battery go dead then after charge boot into bootloader, make sure you got a good tar file for your stock phone it may be a bad tar file if you are getting errors.
Hmmmm sounds like you accidentally flashed very old 6.0.1 firmware back when it bootloader version 2 (which they eventually updated to version 4 so you can't go backwards) so I would just completely charge the phone and go into recovery and do a facorty reset then try flashing the latest Sprint 7.0 firmware and you should be good
Not getting much response in the Q & A section, so I'll try here:
So I tried to root using an old youtube tutorial (which I since have learned is a bad idea), now it's stuck in a boot loop. Tried to factory restore from boot menu, didn't work. Took my S7 SM-G930V to Geek Squad at Best Buy, and the Samsung guy basically told me he couldn't fix it and neither would Samsung, as a punishment for trying to root. Maybe if he comes into the ER needing life-saving treatment, I'll tell him I won't help him as punishment for doing one of the stupid things I see every day.... I was just going to throw the damn thing away and buy a new phone, but he pissed me off, so now I want to fix it just to spite him.
Tried kies (said to use smart switch), smart switch (unsupported device), and Odin, all fail. Used the links for the correct firmware here. Tried Verizon's software assistant... also fails. During flash with Odin, it gets about 3 seconds into the bar that goes across the bottom of the phone, then Odin says failed. I'm on android 7.0 snapdragon.
I can get it into download mode, but flashing fails nearly immediately. In download mode, at the top left it says: "ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED), PRODUCT NAME: SM-G930V, CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official, SYSTEM STATUS: Official, FRP LOCK: OFF, QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE, AP SWREV: B4(2,1,1,1,1) K1 S3, SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
Also, I wrote down the Build # and baseband in case they help... Build #: NRD90M.G930VVRS4BRA1 Baseband: G930VVRS4BRA1
Im sure you experts need additional more specific information, so ask away. And thank you!

Maybe try using a different variant of the s7 firmware(like att) and see if it flashes with the prince comsy version of odin.
Edit: nvm guess you figured it out.
Dude believe it or not, I just did the exact same ****ing thing. Somebody please help me. Same phone. Same video. WTF. Please somebody with a heart, help us.
Chances are you flashed the root kernel for Marshmallow. Here is the root kernel for Nougat. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120714389 Try flashing this and seeing what happens.

If that doesn't work, follow this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...sungpay-norootrequiredtoinstallorrun-t3748755. It will put you on the modified BRA1 build. You'll lose all your data in the process, so I would try flashing the Nougat root kernel in Odin first.
