This might be a very stupid question but is this a new MM update?
I.e. a second MM update that hopefully might fix my battery issues on MM?
This might be wishful thinking..
There's already a post on this here

just receiving OTA 227.62 mb, dont know what changes it has.
It's strange that after the update, the DETAIL menu from Battery can't be pressed. So no Auto Stop Apps after 10 minutes anymore...

I was previously on 5.0.2 on my UK S6 Edge sim free and yesterday I got this 5.1.1 update.
No idea if it's the standard 5.1.1 or the updated one that fixes the memory and battery leaks.

That's BOGB, so the latest 5.1.1.
Too early to say for sure if this fixes all my issues with my S6E but, after 24 hours running it, it does seem better than any of the other S6E builds I've used.

Dave

That's cool. It's difficult for me to say as I never got the update to the first 5.1.1 and was stuck on 5.0.2 and only yesterday did i get the update to 5.1.1
But so far battery life seems to be on par with 5.0.2 and I do notice that unlocking the lock screen and going into the home screen seems a tad faster.
is it worth to loose root? cos i'm still on 5.02 with Root Exploit [email protected] and i use Titanium Backup a lot
Battery seems to be better on mine since the update

Yeah, same for me.
I'm not finding much different than BOFJ. Battery maybe better but too early to say yet.
Just a question to participators, what version of Android were you all on prior to the update..I'm trying to get my head around this update as there's another news that Samsung has released another update of about 120mb in France...

I don't think anyone except Samsung can understand their Rom updates (maybe even they can't!)

Can somebody please point me to the proper Odin files to manually install MM on a N910C North American USA region? I can't find it anywhere on Google and I'd like to update my phone as I've gotten no OTA.

"North American" N910C note 4 variant doesn't exist. Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and search for SM-N910C firmware. There are several regions that released MM for N910C, but I recommend the Poland (XEO) version.

Ah I see. Didn't know that. I live in NY and bought an international off of CL so i just assumed. Thank you, though. Is the MM update even recommended? I heard people having battery issues and I already am having extreme issues on lollipop. I assume that's how I got the phone so cheap. The battery is whacked out on mine.

I have been using marshmallow for roughly a month and the battery usage is way better compared to lollipop. My current screen on time is 3 hrs and 48 minutes with 11% battery life remaining and I am using your same model phone on AT&T. I would recommend Marshmallow update for your device.

I see. I just don't have a pc. I was able to temp root with king root, flash twrp, and then from there flash a kernel to get perm root.......so is there any way to get to MM from there without a pc? I can't get a rom to flash, it just gives me an error about being unable to map the file. Not sure what that is about, it was the note 5 rom v05. Radio and kernel flashed just fine though. Edit: Keeps giving me an Error 7 when trying to flash ROMs in particular. Edit again: It was the kernel i was using to Perm root. It wasn't liking me installing a rom with that i guess. I restored and skipped the install of that and then was able to get a rom to install so ignore that, but my original question about MM with no PC still persists.

Yes please lol. I think I was sold a phone with bad hardware or maybe just a bad battery. On stock LP the battery acts really funny. It'll get to a certain percentage and either shut down on me or I have visually watched the percentage just drop by 1 percent until it's dead in 2 second intervals even after attempting to calibrate it. It seems better on a custom rom and I haven't experienced it yet. I'm hoping it's just a bad battery but I can't seem to find another one to buy to test it out. A couple of times on stock too while changing animation speeds the screen would start flashing red (not the red borders) I mean the whole screen would flicker and would only go away on a restart. Not sure what that was about. I only payed $100 off of CL for this phone. If it really is just the battery, that's a helluva deal lol.

I'm on the last release of the beta, stock beta.
I took my Nexus off the beta... But I'm not getting any OTA updates.... Am I stuck on the beta now? I thought I would get the new version people are talking about from the other day.
God.... I don't want to ADB flash it.
Flashing has gotten so much more complicated the last couple years. And with all the talk about people bricking, I don't want to take any risks.
I apologize if this has been asked already, any useful information gets buried so fast these days.
Maybe I'm just getting old. ****.

I'm on nrd90m I left the beta, and nothing happens. Why isn't it updating g to nrd90u ....
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
The ota rolls out in stages. Give it time, youll get it
Okay. Thanks. That's sort of what I was thinking. But I couldn't find anything that said I would go forward out of the beta and not wiped and back to mm

I'm on NRD90M same as u we will get the update to U also jus give it time
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I installed NRD90M through beta and immediately un-enrolled.
Do i need to re-enroll in beta to get the NRD90U OTA update ?

No, the OTA will come to your device soon and if you can`t wait flash the firmware in fastboot.
Does anyone know if its possible to use the engboot root method on the new nougat firmware? I have a few things I'd like to try that require root
The engboot used to root is only for marshmallow and will not work with nougat.

How do you know this is not actual update? It maybe if At&t release this one. Still It is AT&T Samsung Edge S7 Nougat firmware and I have this one on my phone and in recovery saying official.

No you don't know this. I find MM update for Note 4 and we wore thinking that is beta but later same month AT&T release exactly same build. I'm not sure if this is not a case, since Note 5 and Note 4 get security update already for December and S7 Edge last security update we have is for November. There is no new build of MM with security update for December on servers. Next update i can find for S7 Edge is Nougat 7.0 with January security update. Maybe this is just how i logically think, but maybe not. I don't know if this is beta anthill we get another build of Nougat.

You could try finding a way to root it then. I doubt many would put in much effort there though. Once the actual release is out it would make more sense, since we don't know if this release will be a final build.

Curious what you guys think should be done. I've read several forms and nobody really states if it's worth it to flash and take the OTA update to 7.0 from the beta. Is there a root?
Nougat hasn't been released for Big Red yet, so nobody will probably hace an answer.
Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Oh I thought I was reading it was finally out. Disregard sorry
I'm just curious why it still hasn't been released in the US yet
I've been checking every morning since the 12th with no success. I even flashed the U firmware in hopes that I'd get it sooner. I did get the December security update but that's it so far.
