TWRP is broken. Again. - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today, I tried to flash boeffla kernel and I got error "this package is for OnePlus2. This device is oneplus2"
I'm on official TWRP 3.0.0-1 and I downloaded directly from twrp.me
Yes, I did check md5 before flashing
See the screenshot in the attachment

You can see that people over here have the same problem as well
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...0-1-this-package-is-for.431689/#post-14553969

I've had the same problem with twrp 3.0.X Switch to 2.7.X and its fixed

From CM13 to CM12. Flashing Error.

Hi.
My phone is a 2014813 model. It has installed CM13. I tried to flah CM12 but it failed, I used TWRP 2.8.6.1 for flashing. Why this happen ?
Where is the details?
We can not help if you only declare that
Provide at least this:
TWRP Version
ROM Version (both)
Flash Historical
TRWP error log (if possible, a screenshot)
PS. try another TWRP, why don't you try this one ?

Flashing H2OS Marshmallow with Gapps working

1) Before flashing H2OS, flash this modded TWRP recovery via fastboot. Dowload from http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20236 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=12587#downloads (watch what you're downloading if you choose the 2nd link) Download 'twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk.img ' only
2) Download the latest build of H2OS from http://download.h2os.com/oneplus_x/m...e3fbec4d56.zip or check www.h2os.com in case the link doesn't work. After you've downloaded the ROM and your desired Gapps package (I suggest SlimZero, best in the world), copy them to your phone's storage
3) Flash to recovery (TWRP in our case)
4) So here's something important; first, choose the downloaded .zip file, but DO NOT flash it yet. You'll see another button saying 'Add another zip'. Tap on that, and then add the Gapps .zip package. Flash 'em up.
ENJOY H2OS <3

I tried.. First the recovery is not flashing with the lollipop bootloader.. Had to flash the mm bootloader from the h2os 2.0 rom. After that I booted in twrp and tried flashing the h2os.. However it remained stuck at patching system unconditionally.. Had to come back to older h2os.
Any idea what went wrong?

twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk.img only works on already installed oxygen community build or h2os 2.0 as far as i know
How do I flash the h2os 2.0 then..i am on lollipop h2os... Can't flash h2os 2.0 through stock oos recovery.. Getting installion failed message
Although I managed to flash the latest twrp by flashing the bootloader from h2os 2.0 zip.. But the the flashing stuck at patching system unconditionally

I think it would be better if you flash the OOS 3.x.x Community Build through OnePlus stock recovery first, before flash the H2OS MM build.
The steps I taken when I installed the OOS 3.x.x are as following:
- Replace the Lolipop TWRP with OP Lolipop stock recovery
- Flash the OOS 3.x.x through OP stock recovery
- Reboot to OOS 3.x.x
- Reboot to Fastboot Mode, from here I flashed the new TWRP v4.1 built for OOS 3.x.x
- Now you can boot to TWRP recovery and flash the H2OS with Gapps from there.

first flash the BluSpark modded TWRP, then flash H2OS v2.0 followed by any Gapps that you like (I suggest SlimZero) using this recovery. Tadaa!

nope, it doesn't matter what you flash first. I have tried flashing both OOS 3 and H2OS 2 using the modded TWRP. They work fine

What problem are you exactly facing? But still I'll say it here, first flash the modded TWRP, then boot into recovery and flash H2OS followed by Gapps

TWRP

Which TWRP do I use for Android 10 ROM´S? For me everything breaks off when installing with error 7.
Both the latest vers of official TWRP or Orangefox works. Error 7 usually indicates a corrupt .zip due to download issues. Normally a fresh download solves the problem. Perhaps try a different but stable Wi-Fi AP that's available to you.
For me its working latest twrp from official website.
Use the official twrp from site. No issue at all.

N9005 problem installing twrp

I have an N9005 device, it comes with default stock rom (5.0 lollipop), the problem is I tried to install the last TWRP version but it doesn't boot into twrp, I can only install old twrp version 2.8.7.0, and I cannot manage to get it to boot into last twrp version, as I want to install an android 12 rom and can't do it unless I have latest twrp version.
What could i do to install an android 12 rom coming from stock rom?

There's no message or screen, if i flash twrp 3.7 using Odín or adb it directly boots normal when i try to boot into recovery, but if I flash old twrp versión (2.7) it works fine
You don't need to install version 3.7 right away. Do a trial with twrp-3.5.0_9-0-hlte.img first, but flash it directly from TWRP, not through Odin. Use the IMG option to flash the recovery partition.
