[Q] Security Force Close i9505 Android 4.4.2

Hi there,
Just installed the leaked 4.4.2 NA5 firmware on my i9505 and apparently whenever I click the security link in settings app, the settings app force closes. This seems to be a firmware problem. I just want to go there and enable installation of apk's from unknown locations. Anyone know a bypass or a fix?
Waiting for the reply.

Did you install complete firmware or just the modem and bootloader? You flashed Foxhound rom right? You'll need to flash complete stock 4.4.2 first wipe before and after flashing then check if everything works and after that you can flash a recovery and you can try to flash Foxhound again.
Be sure to wipe cache, dalvik and factory reset before and after you've flashed Foxhound

I had exactly the same issue this caused by still having old bootloader (no knox) if your using echoe rom, there is a work around available in the thread.

N910C 6.0.1 Root Issues

Current Specs:
Note 4 N910C Flashed with N910CXXU2DPCB (Marshmallow) ROM
Bootloader: TWRP V3.0.0.0
Rooted with SuperSU V2.71
Busy Box installed and updated to latest
I'm currently unable to move normal apps over to system apps - as soon as the app is transferred via either an app like Luckypatcher, System app converter or any other commercially available play store app, it disappears off the launcher screen. When I try to install the apps directly via an app like System apps installer it gives me an error saying that is unable to read/write to system. When doing a manual transfer to the system/apps folder and setting the permissions to 644 it doesn't seem to install to the system and causes the phone to go into a bootloop if the permissions are set differently. The files some times appear in the system/apps folder and sometimes not when using standard transfer apps.
It also loses root at certain periods and needs a restart and some apps seems do not detect busy box even thought its installed.
I have re flashed the phone numerous times with either a complete fresh flash to a flash over from 5.1.1.
When doing the same root structure on 5.1.1 everything works 100%.
Is any one else experiencing this or have any way around the problems ? I'm not sure where to start looking as it seems to be a combination of possibilities or just that the guys like chainfire has caught up with the changes on the N910C 6.0.1 system and ironed out all the kinks yet ?
Same problem for me. Did you get a solution?

Maybe Samsung had a silent update for the N910C or something.
EDIT: Guys, I installed Hani's H-Vitamin kernel for 6.0.1 and root works again for me. Thought you might want to know. I think we're losing Root on Stock due to an updated SE-Linux policy which overwrites patches made by SuperSu to work on an enforcing kernel, but using this custom kernel on Stock seems to solve the issue.

CF-Auto-Root-trelte-treltexx-smn910c.zip
My SM-N910C running stock 6.0.1 also lost root access today; re-running the latest CF-Auto-Root a couple times didn't work for me.
I fixed it by installing the H-Vitamin Custom Kernel. Proper root access.

Download official firmware from sammobile.com and flash it via Odin. To root I recommend you using CF-AutoRoot from ChainFire. I don't know if it's compatible with the dual sim version (GT-I9300I), but with my single sim (GT-I9301I) it worked like a charm

What do you mean with updates it boots okay, put keeps updating the apps each boot, or it hangs on a logo.
If you root you can't download updates anymore with the ota feature.
You could try this, in the first page there is an uninstaller for magisk in the dowload section.
In worse case you have to flash a new rom again.
ps. you should post in the Q&A section.
This is for asking questions of a rom, or like you did now the present a new rom
