Hey there, I know it might sounds strange, it's also very first time I'm seeing something like this myself.
Basically... When I connect my s6 edge + to wifi in my flat for the first time, with password or not, I'm getting full speed (50 mbit/s) but when I turn off wifi and turn on again with password saved - speed of connection stays at 7 - 10 mbit/s, no matter what I do. However when I forget password and that connect again from the begining until I turn my wifi off, I'm getting max speed.
My girlfriend has normal s6, she doesn't have such problem. That means that something is going on with my mobile... But what? Tried factory reset, still nothing. I really don't have any ideas.
Pure stock unrooted.
Please help!
Sebastian
Any help please?

Hello XDA. I've noticed that my new Note 4 has been dropping the wifi connection while using the Internet. So what happens is the wifi button suddenly becomes grey and I have to press it to enable it again. It works for a while and then it drops off again...then I gotta press it to enable it...
I've discussed this with Verizon and they are suggesting i do the dreaded factory reset.
I have a feeling that I'll be sending this one back...
Any advice from the experts? Thanks in advance.
Are you having this problem at multiple locations or just one? If at multiple locations, I'd have to agree to try a full reset. If at one, could be a router issue.
Just to cover all the bases, you haven't any power management or something like tasker that could be turning off wifi?
No power management software installed and I really haven't used it much anywhere other than my home wi-fi so I guess I should double check it tomorrow on other networks to confirm before the reset.
I had a similar issue with my Note 3 where I couldn't get wifi to stay on no matter where I was and I needed a new phone...that was after using it for 9 months with no issues....this Note 4 is brand new.
If you are using smart network switch option try to disable it and see if its ok

Hi there,
Ga a ZUK Z1 here running the latest COS form OTA.
My data usage is really high.
Tried to figure out why, since I'am always near WiFi and have WiFi always on.
Checked the settings in wifi->advanced->keep wifi on = always
Even though, most of the time the WiFi disconnects when the screen is off.
Why doesn't the phone react to the setting?
How to fix this? (costing me a lot of data and thus €€€)
Hello, i have the same problem. But found no solution.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm sorry but I use google translate. At the beginning to introduce myself. My name is Sebastian, I am 26 years old and i come from Polish) About how to set up because on Polish forums I found no help. My problem is that after the passage of the phone in a deep sleep, sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 20 minutes, when the screen is turned off Wi-Fi remains enabled but does not download the data, synchronize files from the drop box and download the larger files from the Internet is not possible. I tried everything, WIPE, FACTORY RESET, upload the new firmware XEO but nothing helps. Has anyone had a similar problem? With LTE this problem does not occur. Please help and sorry if I wrote in the wrong section, but I haven't seen where I can move my problem.
try wiping and upgrading the router.
Maybe a router connection issue.

Thank you for your reply. WIPE I did, I installed the new XEO and also did not help, unfortunately, update the router I can not because there does not even have such an option. I would add that on the screen on this issue does not occur. It looks as if deep sleep mode to block the Download Manager.
I have been using my Mi 9T Global Version for a few weeks now and im noticing that when i have my phone on standby mode for a few hours and then statr to use it, the wifi is still connected to the router but i have no internet access. What i need to do is disable and re-enable wifi again to have access, does anyone have the same issue and know a fix for it? It is quite annoying. Had a Mi A2 before and had no such issues with that phone.
Thank you all in advance!
I haven't experienced such thing, however what I have experienced is that sometimes the WiFi stops working for a few seconds. It can be annoying when I play with an online game, and suddenly the phone looses the connection for 4-5 seconds. It's rare, in the past 2 weeks it has only happened like 5 times.
Hello guys, I bought a Xiaomi Mi 9T last week and I've been noticing a few problems:
1) Sometimes, when the screen is off, Wifi drops, so when I unlock the phone, it says it is connected, but I am not able to navigate the web. To solve the issue, I just have to turn off and then on the Wifi. Do you know how to solve this problem? It's quite annoying, because it happens that I lose notifications.
2) The fingerprint sensor fails to recognize my fingerprint when light is low. Is it normal?
Thank you in advance.

1) Never had problems with WiFi
2) Try if it helps you if you register several copies of the same finger, by (manually) changing the brightness and the angle of your finger.
It may help you for one day but next day when the moisture on your finger or on the display changes, or temperature of your finger (?) or just the Moon changes (or something, who knows), fingerprint detection will mostly fail again.
Very, very bad.
Probably it works better for small fingers - they have small fingers and they didn't think of other people who would have bigger fingers.
Not much help here
Hello I have even worse WiFi problems. In addition to losing WiFi connection I have to reboot my phone every time because Mi 9T can't connect to my own saved WiFi anymore.. Even tried factory reset which didn't help.
