Which are the best roms regarding performance, battery and overall style? (i prefer the iOS like style from flymeOS and MIUI) however i'd like all the sensors to be working. I'm also looking into customization as far as possible, so that's a big plus. Also frequent updates in case of bugs or new features. I'm buying the phone next week and i'm looking forward to trying a good rom to fit the phone
Well, in terms of perfomance and features I would recommend OxySLim. For the looks, you could always install a launcher. Just make sure to flash boeffla kernel, totally worth it

I don't think you have to install any kernels if you don't want but I don't use the rom I'm using stock oxygen with beoffla kernel

In fact now I'm thinking about it beoffla kernel is not supported on hydrogen OS so I would try it with stock kernel

Just bought my 1+2. Currently using 1+1 and thinking if it's better to use cm12.1 rather than oxygen os. How different are these 2 roms? Coming from 1+1,im more inclined to cm12. Please advise.

I'd be inclined to agree if there was an official CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly channel for the 1+2

Buddy.. I HV used both ROM, oxygen is a new kid .. It works fine so do cm .. But if u want variety in customisation den go for cm. Also its older den oxygen.

there is lots of complaints about Oxygen Os in chinese forums. Actually Op didn't have much time to do the test before release the official (or stable) build, because it should be preinstalled on the Oneplus 2. That is to say, so far, there is not much difference between official and preview...

What OS is currently working better on the OP2?
OXYGEN OS until Official CM 12.1 here as well. CM is THE reason why I bought 1+1 in the first place.
I am using Unofficial CM 12.1 on my OPT and it works fine.
Missing fingerprint yeah, and there are several bugs like LED notif, home button response for waking up the phonem double screen tap, little network errors etc, but it's so faster than Oxygen ... It's a great OS but not mature enough. CM is mature.
I hope bugs will be fixed soon and it will be perfect.

this is also another Os named Hydrogen Os for chinese Users...
But neither of these is considered feature-complete.
So my personal opinion is to keep waiting...
Seeing there is no fingerprint support in unofficial cm, I shall use oxygen for the meantime

Everyone has different taste and opinion. e.g. I personally like OmniRom by herna. But it would be better if you try some ROMs yourself and decide
Sultanxda's CM 13 ROM is clean, fast and has great battery life. I didn't feel a need to search for a better one, as there's probably no better one (this one is very very popular)
I use sultanxda's CM13 CAF and Lightning Kernel. Couldn't be happier. I get 6hr SOT.
I use the Cyanogenmod 13.0 by jgcaap, here.
The Kernel is NewKernel, by Jgcaap also.
But I also think there's no way of knowing what is the best ROM or Kernel, each forehead and find the best for you according to your taste. The best for me was the Jgcaap.

Try not to flash kernels if you don't know what you are doing. Especially do not flash other device kernels on OPO.

S-AOSP is best for my needs. Based on Omni, a fine mix between smoothness and customization..
My personal favs ATM are
Darkobas
BrokenOS
Sultan's CM13 build works best for me. It is fluid, simple, and for me has a better battery life due to his optimizations.

I used Darkobas, Slimsaber, BrokeOs, Nuclear AndroidProject and all of this ROM are good under the aspect of battery and personalization but I prefer Darkobas for the stability, I had some bugs with NAP and SlimSaber but I think that with the next builds will be perfect. I prefer MM than LL
RR rom for now by fav
I personally like CM13 by Sultan the best, 'cause it's just fast and fluid! Hope that helps you

RR has way more options and you won't really need xposed (adblocking and youtube adway are great for xposed)

RR doesn't support Xposed. CM is always a better option.

When Oneplus releases the kernel source of MM, CM will become official. Grarak is waiting a long time for it.

CM13 official is one of the best roms... If you want battery life, you can install Greenify, Naptime, Xposed Framework, and DS battery saver... and activate all these in the xposed app... you will get the best from a rom...

You are right, cm13 is the most stable custom rom till now.
You can install xposed and its modules without troubles.
You can install moto g4 camera and enjoy its benefits.
You will not find problems with games or apps.
Use coffee-kernel to get much performance with less temperature.

It can take photo but can't change setting in camera (Quality , Save Location) .

Yes, absolutely stable. Just a few bugs like hdr in camera isn't working and 1080p video recording doesn't work.

Camera is my priority even i use port OxygenOS camera any custom ROM i flash. Like ViperOS, it smooth, nice UI and a got customization like AICP, or RR. I don't know why i not use longer those ROM. Maybe comfortable with OxygenOS Beta 7. Until i flash Paranoid, i fall in love. Hahaha weird right?
