I have tried both the Moto camera and the stock camera to no avail. I see the "rec" indicator briefly, hear a tone, then the recording turns off. Nothing gets saved. I do have an SD card and it is setup for both apps and data (there is 11GB+ free on internal memory, and about 20GB free on the SD card). Am running Marshmallow, am also unlocked and rooted.

HOW TO MAKE VOICE NOTE ON XDA AS LONG AS TWO HOURS CONTINUOUSLY WITHOUT BRAKING. I HAVE GOT 1 GIGA MEMORY CARD . STILL THE VOICE RECORDING STOPS AND I NEED TO RE PRESS RECORDING AGAIN TO CONTINUE RECORDING.IT STOPS AFTER NEARLY AFTER EVERY 10 MINUTES .
I beleive this has to do with the way the xda copes with buffering the recording either to a) its internal memory or b) write speeds to the SD card.
Have you tried different settings, ie lower quality mono? Does the problem persist if you do this?
So I'm trying to use my Atrix for DLNA and I'm running into a couple issues. Seems to be first off, it shows up on my Logitech Revue but no Media is shown at all. My PS3 doesn't even detect the device, and my PC detects it as a Storage Device but cannot browse it.
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or if it's just me but I'm curious if someone else can test this and we can deduce if it's a issue with the software or if I just may have a defective device.
One other interesting thing I have noticed is that ever since I placed movies on my internal storage (haven't tried my SD card yet) randomly the movie audio will play and only stops when I pull down my notification bar. Typically happens after my phone makes a notification sound.
EDIT: Seems to be that if the Movies are on my SD card (not internal storage) they don't randomly start playing the audio when a notification sound goes off.
Hi.
I cant post this in the correct thread, because i havent got 10 posts yet. Please someone post this for me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926507&page=1510
I just recorded a few longer videos (more than 5 min.) with the camcorder and i realized that audio / video goes terribly out of sync on all of them. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there a way to fix that?
Camcorder only able to record short clips
I am also having a similar problem. My camcorder generally records beautifully till about 10min. Then, the recording freezes. I use the Sd-card variant of nexus hd android for my hd2 (nov6,2011) and I love everything about it, except this inability to record videos longer than about 10min. My theory is that the stock camcorder dumls all the record data EXCLUSIVELY in the RAM so when the free RAM is used up it freezes as the recording is forced onto the card (in the process also becoming an unreadable file). Can this be addressed or is there a 3rd party camcorder that can place its recording data progressively on the sd card WHILE recording?
Ok have you looked into the FAQ's for CoreDroid ?

I've been dashing around from app to app last niggt trying to find a decent app that will record in 4K on CyanogenMod 11, it came down to two, Open Camera, and Cinema FV-5, I tested out both for about an hour but Cinema FV-5 just has more supporting settings for recording video and audio so I ended up buying the paid version.
It was all working fine until I turned my phone off last night, problem is, now every 4k video I try to record is all messed up like layers are reversed and everything is pink and green (pink stuff moves one way, green moves the otger way) and the audio is just crackling.
Now, i have sample 4K videos that worked fine last night so I'm blaming CM11 as it seems to always have camera issues that never get fixed, has anyone delt with an issue like this before?
I blame CM11 because either the stock AOSP camera or the Google Camera, both only allow me to record with a Mono Mic thay only plays through one side, not to mention the Mic Gain seems to be set on full because you can hear a wine like dtatic noise at all times and even nornal talking makes it clip.
Cinema FV-5 has the option to switch it to the stereo external mic and the volume adjusts perfectly on its own, but now 4K is screwed, just cant seem to win here.
Any suggestions? Is this green and pink video a known issue for CM11 and 4K? When I search green and pink 4k provlem I get stupid sample videos of green and pink things in 4K so I'm really not getting anywhere with this lol.
I've alao tried restarting my phone again, wiping app data. And still nothing prevails.
Oh, and for some reason it wont let me record to my external SD even though I have 11GB free and last niggt all my test videos were saving to the card?
Time to reflash? How long before CM11 M13?
Where did you find a CM 11 rom for the note 4?
Oh my.. This is embarassing, I meant to post this in the Note 3 section. My bad.
I got the tread moved from the Note 4 Q&A to the Note 3 Q&A, the problem still persists. I still cant record in 4K, every video shows up green and pink but when I was first uaing this and saving to external SD my sample 4K videos work fine.
Anyone know whats up wuth CM11 and its storage problem between 4k on external SD and 4K on internal SD?
Record 4K, saves to external SD, works fine, looks great, turn phone off, now I cant copy anything to SD, I dont have permission to write to external SD, and 4K videos save by default to internal SD but they're all green and pink
I've very confused, I hoping this is just a minor setback and CM11 M13 will be out any day now to fix this issue.
Are there any workarounds that anyone has found?
So, I upgraded directly from Android 6 to Android 8, and now the microphone doesn't work in apps; it only records white noise. All related apps have the recording permissions enabled. Same result in the system's built-in audio recorder, it only records white noise.
However, the microphone works fine when doing phone calls, and also when recording videos using the system's built-in camera app. So it's not a physical issue.
Trying to record videos in Whatsapp gives an error saying to check the permissions, but this error only shows up after the recording is done (which means that the camera does show up and let me record the video), and right after it shows a warning saying that "the file is not compatible", so the Whatsapp video preview doesn't show up and the video is not sent.
Attaching a video recorded externally through the system's built-in camera app works normally, though.
Also, the Santander bank app always crashes on startup, this didn't happen in Android 6.
So many issues, and I did format the phone and wiped up the cache after the Oreo upgrade, but these problems still persists.
Updated everything through Google Play afterwards, and still nothing.
