YouTube loosing spot in subscribed feed - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I scroll through my subscribed feed on YouTube and I watch a video in full screen and then go back to my subscribed feed, it looses it's spot and goes all the way back to the top. However, if o watch a video without going full screen then when I go back it saves my spot in my feed. What can I do to fix this?

Uploading Videos To Youtube

I uploaded several short videos to youtube to check the quality of the of them. And their not showing up in HD...at least I don't they are.
First when I'm recording the video on the Atrix, in the upper left hand corner of the screen, the red circle is lit so it is recording in HD. However, after I upload the video to Youtube, it shows in 360p. I click the drop down menu and 720p is no where on the list. The previous videos that I've taken with my other phones such as the Evo, Evo Shift and Epic 4G always had the HD emblem on my list of videos.
I don't actually think it's the phone but maybe it's a setting that I'm overlooking. I checked other Atrix 4G videos on youtube and they all have the 720p selection in the setting. The video plays back EXCELLENT on the phone itself.
Is there a setting somewhere that I may be missing?
**Nevermind I figured it out...This phone is the Shiznit!*
Whenever I try to share upload to youtube I keep getting the same error regardless of vid size; "Failed to retrieve account information". All other services are working properly (gmail, voice, etc) with the same log in info. Any any why it is failing?
Edit:
This post did the trick actaully:

Thanks. I was finding that annoying. Now if I can only get youtube to believe I'm over 18. Yes, it's blocking me and telling my I have to be over 18 to watch some videos. Works fine in browser and on pc but the app refuses.

Facebook "Related Videos" in App

Does anyone know how to get rid of the related video's that come up whilst trying to watch a Facebook video in portrait?
They take up at least a quarter of the screen making the video small, it's not really possible to watch a portrait video in landscape.
I can't find any setting for it in the app settings itself, unless I've missed something. I can't even full screen the video.
Someone must have an idea?

Facebook video problem

I'm having trouble with Facebook video. Usually tapping on videos it will play the videos but now when I tap on the video there's nothing happening as if I didn't touch the screen. On images it works when I tap the images. Only videos I can't tap on it. Anyone else have this kind of problem?
Any help please? I've tried uninstall and install back it's still the same... I'm on stock unrooted
I sit with the same issue. There is a setting in fb that allow video to play directly, depending if you are on wifi or not. Mine is set to play video on wifi driect, but sometimes the videos don't play when scrolling down through the feeds. . When clicking on the video it still doesn't play sometimes. What I did and it works every time, when clicking on the video it opens the video and nothing happens. On the right hand top of the video there is 2 arrows pointing up and down or at an angle away from each other. That is to maximize the video. Maximize the video and it will begin to play.

[Android 8] After watching a video in the gallery, goes back to main screen

Hi,
I've got the latest update of Android 8 to my LG G6 .
Now I get some strange behaviour:
I'm watching a video in the gallery. After the video, I want to go back to the gallery, to view other stuff. But, the back button sends me back to the main screen!
If I open the gallery again, I go back to the same video I watched.
Only by cleaning all running apps, I can get to the main gallery page again.
I don't see this issue when watching photos.
Any idea?!
It's super annoying

Chromecast

I had a problem with streaming from my op6t on my samsung tv, all the video content I was mirroring wasnt in full screen, i had black borders. I was told in op forums that with a chromecast i wouldnt have this problem, so I bought one today but the problem still remains, chrome videos, youtube videos popcorn movies etc are all mirrored with black borders on my screen, my tv is 55" but when i want to see a video or a movie i see with 48" max.... Is there any solution?
It sounds like you're initiating the screen mirroring by using either the "Cast" tile in Quick Settings or under Settings>Bluetooth & device connections>Connection Preferences>Cast. If you're mirroring the phone display to the tv, then it won't fill the screen because the aspect ratio of the phone is different than the tv (19.5:9 vs 16:9). So there will be borders at the top & bottom at the least or on all sides, depending on how things are being displayed on the phone. For example if you're mirroring a YouTube video and it's displaying at 100% on your phone, it'll have bars all around on the tv. If you zoom in to fill the phone screen, on the tv it'll stretch so it will only have bars on top.
What you want to do is initiate a true cast through the app you want to be watching, assuming it supports Chromecast. Open the app (e.g. YouTube) and tap the Cast icon in the app, not in Quick Settings. It'll show a list of devices to cast to. Find your Chromecast and tap that. It will then launch the YouTube app on the Chromecast. You can then select the video you want to watch from your phone and it'll send it to the Chromecast and it should display fullscreen on the tv. While casting, the video does not play simultaneously on the phone. It's streamed directly to your Chromecast. You can continue to do other things on the phone without interrupting the video playing on the tv.
If you have videos saved on your phone that you want to view on your tv, you can use the mirroring function from the phone, but you'll still have the borders. Or you can use an app like Plex. Again, initiate casting and select the video through the app.

Yes I use the cast toggle to screen my phone and then to stream from chrome, what I cant understand is why is this method working with my wifes pixel 3xl (18.5:9) and not with my op6t? I am doing the same thing with her phone and there are no borders when going in to full screen on a video on chrome.

Don't use the "cast" toggle in the quick settings. But use the "cast to chromecast" toggle in apps.
It looks like the icon from the quick settings (drop down menu).
That icon should appear in apps (youtube, vlc etc) when a Chromecast is found on your wifi.

Idk why it works for your wife's pixel but in any case I've had success with using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.secondscreen.free
On my tablet. Give it a whirl?
