I've tested it and using Materialized TWRP 2.8.6.0.1 bcs i got Installation Failed in OnePlus Recovery.
Anyway, installation failed occurred because my device is A0001 and it writes OnePlus in updater-script
So i change it, and it flash successfully...
I sleep with 78% battery, and wake up with 74% while updating a lot of Apps

didnt work man, no network.
used 2.8.6.0

I did the same thing with TWRP 2.8.6.0, after flashing the firmware, I ended up with no network. But I was able to restore my backup and didn't lose anything. Gonna try it with 2.8.7.0.5

Have you try flashing firmware using fastboot?

Flashable OxygenOS 2.1.4 (TWRP compatible!)
@Bobbi lim So I tried to flash the ROM with TWRP materialized 2.8.7.0.5 and it flashed successfully. I flashed the OxygenOS 2.1.4 firmware prior to flashing the ROM.
I neither have network nor does wifi work...
Also, baseband version shows "Unknown"

I don't think there was any problem in the updater-script as such, since TWRP didn't throw up any error while flashing the fw

Flash the ROM via TWRP. After that flash the firmware via TWRP.
If no network and baseband, flash firmware via fastboot.
If network and baseband shows up, it's an issue with firmware zip.

I flash firmware using fastboot all the time as there's some instances for me whereby flashing firmware via recovery although was successful but I still resulted in no RIL. I wouldn't recommend you to flash the new firmware on Darkobas but you can try. Do not blame me if anything happens to your device.

Seems to work ok for me, flashed via TWRP...

Maybe materialised 28705 is a problem?? i personally would prefer 2.8.6.0 even if i already use materialised 2.8.7.0.5. or katinatez version always was good with flashing firmwares.
edit: ofc best method is fastboot as you said before

LG G3 D852 Telus/Koodo Marshmallow 30G Stock + Root (Updated 2017-01-02)

Introduction
Due to popular demand I have created a flashable zip from the official firmware released on 2016 July 12th (Version MM 30G)
Pre-requisite
If you haven't root/bump/TWRP already, read the tutorial here.
Disclaimer
I will not be responsible if you brick your phone. Use this tutorial at your own risk. Read the entire tutorial before proceeding.
How to use
To do a clean install:
Go into TWRP -> Wipe system/data -> Format system -> Flash the ROM zip.
To do an update without losing data/apps
Go into TWRP -> Flash the zip.
To get root
Flash my rooted boot.img -> Flash SuperSU V2.79.
If you an boot error, just flash the rooted boot.img again.
Only flash SuperSU V2.79 or above.
The only partitions that will be touched are the system and boot partitions. Bootloader and recoveries will not be touched, so after flashing to new ROM you can go back to TWRP and flash any custom zips!
I also provided a bumped boot.img on the side for those who want to use it with other Marshmallow custom ROMs like Fulmics.
If you want to get root for the stock ROM, you have to flash the rooted boot.img, then install SuperSU from play store. This is currently the only way to get root on official Marshmallow.
I don't have time to remove the bloatwares yet. So if you removed the LG bloatwares previously, they will be back.
Download
D852 Telus/Koodo MM 30G Stock ROM
D852 Telus/Koodo MM Bumped boot.img (no root, use this to unroot)
Rooted boot.img (Flash this to root #Rooted version 2.79)
SuperSU V2.79
Visit my blog for more G3 tutorials
Thanks, just wondering what the bump.img is for and why it is needed to flash another ROM.

Perfect. Can the boot.img be flashed with TWRP instead of Imageprep? Say I flash Fulmics at some point or any other ROM (that has root), then immediately after flash your boot.img within recovery to overwrite the Rogers kernel that most ROMs come with. Just making sure. This extra step is for those with a Telus/Koodo variant of the G3

Yep, as long as the ROM is based on stock you shouldn't have problem flashing stock kernel.

It seems LG released the same MM kernel for all variants in Canada. Theoretically it should work for Rogers too.
You can try it out to see if there's any bugs. If it doesn't work you can just flash back your original boot image (make sure to back up boot partition first!).
Let us know if it works.
Thanks you.
Does anybody have a success story to share about updating without wiping ?

Thanks hdlineage,
If you dont mind i would like to confirm some steps?
I am on rogers MM OTA so i am complete stock.
So i download the kitkat-aboot.img, kitkat-laf.img and twrp
Use your imgprep program to install the img's and twrp.
then back up the current boot.img in twrp, then flash the modified you provided, correct.
Then i could either flash a super user.zip or install super user from the playstore?
Thanks for your work

For imageprep to work you will need to downgrade to lollipop first.
It won't work with MM. Currently you need custom recovery to root MM.

In order to root using the method described in this thread, you must already been rooted with a bumped TWRP when you were on Lollipop. Refer to OP and the "Requirement" section if you need more information.
If you were not rooted with bumped TWRP previously, then you have two options:
1) Downgrade to LP by using LGUP, root/bump using ImagePrep, then flash according to instructions on this thread
2) Wait for ImagePrep to be updated for MM compatibility and then root (and/or install bumped TWRP).
Your propose method may fail since you are on MM already and ImagePrep is currently compatible with either KK or LP only. If your method works, please let this community know.
There are other root methods available such as the one-click method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197, but I am unable to validate them since I used ImagePrep method on LP only.

Surprised there is no modem.img in the update?
Did the baseband version change?
Mine is a Rogers D852 but is unlocked and was not OTA updated past Lollipop.
The baseband version showing is: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.c1.13-00053-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Can anyone confirm a change in baseband?
Is there any flashable file available for fido users.?
delete, Rogers should be the same as Fido but can't confirm

It is the same (use bumped zip) from this thread. I have a Koodo G3 unlocked on the FIdo network configured with Fido APN and it works. No issues yet, have not tested GPS or Bluetooth. Since there is no baseband update, I don't think there will be any issues.
My Fulmics install failed to boot and was stuck on LG logo with flashing green & blue led. Stock MM bumped zip install works just fine.
Which boot image should I have used and what about installing SuperSU?
Current root methods in OP fails. Tried both boot images and tried bumped boot image. Supersu failed on version 2.65, 2.67, 2.68, 2.70.
hdlineage: keep getting the error message it is failing to patch the boot.img since Supersu detects boot is already patched. Any ideas?

The firmware binaries are from May 2015. Is that accurate? I was hoping we'd have something newer than the October or January blobs. Or is that misleading?
I'd love a new modem.
downloading.... will report soon
i guess we will have to use the chineese TWRP or the stock recovery, and also flash gapps for it
I will be patiently waiting for TWRP flashable zip
i will try with the chinese twrp and see if it works
EDITS:
-To flash the rom i used TWRP 3.0.2-3 Tugapower, but i changer the \META-INF\com\google\android\update-script in the zip file, i changed the name of the phone so i don't get the error7
-Here are some screenshots
-For the gapps i still didn't flash them, i juste came home from work

Yes, it works with TWRP, after you flash it though it won't boot to recovery so you have to shut down, go into fastboot, flash the old firmware, then without booting into the OS, boot into recovery, flash gapps, boot into fastboot mode again and flash the new firmware (you can find it in the H2OS zip).

To make it Official:
If you're rooted, first of all undo any system changes you made and unroot.
Then restore the boot partition backup of Stock Nougat 7.0 build NPJ25.93-14 via twrp. See it here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/n7-0-twrp-backup-stock-boot-partition-t3550001
Flash Stock Recovery via fastboot:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B25DpDahxm52b0VKWGFKSXM1LUk
Do a factory reset after you've done this and check the status on the bootloader.
Else flash Stock ROM Nougat 7.0 NPJ25.93-14 via fastboot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-xt1640-43-athene-npj25-93-t3549369
Or if you're reluctant in flashing the above via fastboot, you can restore entire stock ROM backup via twrp..followed by flashing stock recovery and a reset. :

Wifi wont toggle on after flashing boot img

I flashed twrp on boot using fastboot instead of on recovery and was stuck in a bootloop. So I found a stock boot img online and flashed that back onto boot and now it boots but wifi won't turn on anymore.
Get the fastboot rom which corresponds to your device version from here:

Extract the boot.img from the archive and flash it using fastboot. That should get your WiFi going again.

I have no idea how to go about using a python script to unpack the OTA images from the file. What should I do?
Don't download the OTA image. Download the fastboot image. Use 7-zip to extract.
There's no fastboot image for my version and I have tried a diff version from there and it boots but doesn't fix the wifi problem.

What version are you on? I believe all the Fastboot versions are present in that thread. If you're on a newer version that 8.1.10, you'll need to flash 8.1.10 first, effectively downgrading. Then you can update to a higher version using the system's in-built updater.

Yup. You're on the same version as me. It does not yet have a fastboot ROM indeed. You will need to downgrade.
Flash the entire (Android 8.0.0 [OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10]) ROM in Xiaomi Flash and choose "Save user Data".

Miflash says it flashes successfully, however it doesn't reboot and after manually rebooting it isn't flashed.
Edit: Upon checking the log there was a problem with file location and right now I'm trying to flash it again.
Edit: IT WORKED!! After flashing the entire ROM wifi now works again properly. Thank you so much for helping me through all this.

Mi Flash doesn't seem to accept spaces in the path of the firmware so that was probably the issue. No worries! You'll want to update to the latest version using the system updater to get back on your actual version.

Phone not booting up please help!!!

so i was on RR official rom and i wanted to try AEX so i flashed it as usual but i wanted to revert back to RR so i wiped everything and flashed the Oreo firmware zip and then restored the RR backup and rebooted the phone.....
but i was stuck on the boot logo so i clean flashed the rom zip file but no use
i also tried LOS15.1 zip file but still i was stuck on the boot logo
i tried to flash the 7.12.7 nougat fastboot rom through Mi flash the rom booted but started to reboot at the time of selecting network during setup
i did some research and found out many users had this issue and they flashed persist.img
i tried the same using the TWRP method but still no use
i even flashed the Oreo beta through the Jamflux tool but even that kept rebooting at the time of setup
plz help me out
TY in advance
clean all and lock option could be helpful !

i flashed the firmware zip from this link:https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/xiaomi-mi-a1-tissot-firmware-flashable-t3759886
but i wasnt on 7.12.29 at that moment i was on the OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10-beta build flashed by Jamflux's tool do you think that might have caused the problem?
