Odin failed

Hi,
I bought a new S5 for my girlfriend who is in love with Samsung. The phone is an unlocked G900F coming from a UK dealer. After first boot I checked the software status and the phone installed an update. Now it has G900FXXU1ANCE G900FVFG1ANC6 on.
Since I wanted to install all her previous stuff from her old S3 I rooted the phone and installed twrp 2.7. After backing up the EFS partition and making a nandroid backup I tried to install the latest Vodafone firmware because it is her provider.
But Odin fails when flashing hidden.ext4. It might be important that after the FAIL message the phone cannot boot again, however, when I install twrp again, it boots into system with no changes. I tried different PC, different version of ODIN, reinstalled the drivers and with and without SIM and SD Card.
Could somebody help me? Am I trying to install and older firmware? I had no luck with Kies3 as well (tried recover the phone) because Kies lost the connection to the phone when I choose emergency recovery.

I think there are small differences between the firmwares. I have an international g900f and tried to install the latest firmware from T-Mobile France. I got the same error. Then I installed the open Netherlands firmware and had no error

i have exactly same problem trying to move from rooted rom to vodafone uk official firmware from sam,
hope someone can help pm me please if you have resolve

Agreed wrong firmware ? Mine was unlocked and aloud me to install btu I was trying Vodafone stupid me haha

From Custom Rom to Flyme Official?

Hey guys,
so just in case I would sell my phone in future .. I would know how to get back to full official Flyme Rom with locked bootloader and meizu stock recovery. In the cm12.1 thread is one tutorial in the headpost but I've read the comments in the thread and now I do not know what is right and what is wrong to get back official Flyme Rom. Please, can someone tell me how I get this done, PLEASE

You have to flash patched recovery flyme, and then flash original flyme rom by normal way( recovery mode or choosing the rom with a file explorer)

As i know, is the only way, if we are talking about andriod mx4. I did it and no problems.
The safest way to flash patched rechovery is via fastboot.

move offical rom to root direc. and flash patced recovery. turn off phone. press volume up + power button. select update and clean data.

Wait you can brick your phone. Some people have tested it:
- Back to Flyme 4.2.8.2 patched
- Reflash Flyme 4.2.8.2 official
- Full Re-Lock
IF YOU FLASH ANOTHER FLYME (NOT 4.2.8.2) OFFICIAL IS FULL BRICK.

Ok, first flash patched recovery, then 4.2.8.2 ( I or A?) and then I can flash any official Rom without brick?

Some people have tested it! But i'm not sure! You coming from an A or I? What you have patched for unlock?

Coming from 4.2.8.2A but phone is actually a international model...

You can try, but why? Just sell it unlocked

Volume Down + Power = Fastboot mode
In a Prompt of comand do: fastboot flash recovery "recovery.img" (and move recovery file on window and do enter)

After I do it, and after I go back to the official 4.2.8.2, can I update it normally to 4.5.7i, or even to flyme 5 when it comes out, or will I risk brick?

I flashed 4.2.8.2 with patched recovery and patched ROM with patched uboot (same as what got me "unlocked")
After that flashed full unmodified 4.2.8.2, let boot, rebooted for good measure then flashed latest flyme 5

Thanks for sharing from your experience! Did you flashed the flyme 5 normally, the standard way, by just putting it on root and openning? Where did you get it? So many different versions. How do you like it?

"Flyme 4.2.8.2 patched" - You say that I must flash patched Flyme 4.2.8.2 or flash a stock Flyme 4.2.8.2i by patched recovery and than by stock?? On this I can install Flyme 4.5.7 and update it with OTA?

Clean flash is highly recommended. Had big standby drain after I dirty flashed it (all your data, apps etc stay, you only lose root, when updating). Factory reset after that and it's fine now (great actually, I'm losing 1% in 10 hours now thanks to doze I guess - before I was losing around 5% in 10 hours)

Does anybody use foldermount under MM?
It says the mount was successfull, but i cant see the files when i open the original folder; but the destination foder there are the files.
I Use foldermount 2.9.2b

Recently I was on 5.0.1 with appropriate TWRP, but then I had the device to have it repaired an now it is on 6.0.2. Can I use the latest Lollipop-TWRP?

Yes, u can use the last version. There is no other at the moment. Clean install with factory reset is prefered. Cause of errors.

TWRP 3.0.2.1 is compatible with MM, Lollipop and kitkat.

You can use TWRP 3.0.0-1 for 815.It work great!

Is it possible to flash twrp while device is already encrypted? Or should the device be encrypted after flashing twrp?

Makes no difference.

I keep getting a fail during boot.img. Was on TWRP and then went back to a stock Samsung 5.0.2. Keeps failing via Odin.
Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Do you guys have any issue running Netflix in HD on your rooted tablet?

Is what not MM for T815? You said you had an issue flashing lollipop. If it fails it's the wrong firmware for your device.

You cant update through OTA if you have unlocked bl.

So there's no way we can do the security updates that we get?

So now SuperSU is working? I thought flashing SuperSU was causing bootloops on Oreo and only Magisk was working?

Magisk 14.5 is working and SuperSu not on Oreo.
