Boeffla App - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys!
I can't edit my little cores
It don't have min and max thing like the big cores
Can someone help me?
Boeffla kernel beta 19
Latest boeffla app

anyone?

why dont you ask in the boeffla kernel thread ???

I seem to be getting camera crash issues with 2.2 and beta 19. Specially when I swipe left to see the photos taken. Anyone else face that?

Shinto kernel! How is the kernel that smooth?

I have been using Shinto kernel for just about a week or so now, and I am spellbound with this kernel's performance! I mean this governor, Precognition, its just like a magic button of smoothness! Everything works so smooth that it feels like sometimes whether I am running Android or not!
But there is a slight thing which I would really like for the kernel to have, that is the Screen calibration feature, K cal app support, to make the default cinema mode even more accurate, so does anyone know how to achieve that with Shinto? I actually flashed some other kernel which has that feature and changed governor to Performance to achieve same smoothness of Shinto on Precog! But I don't want to use Performance as daily running governor! So if anyone has a clue kindly let me know.

[REQUEST] Stock Kernel with KCAL?

Hi, this is a friendly request for the senior devs on this forum. I am actually a noob when it comes to kernel compilation. So I wanted to ask if anyone here has already compiled or is willing to compile the latest stock kernel (from 3.6.1) with no other features except kcal controls. Because me and other OP2 users feel that battery life is best on stock kernel but the washed out display is absolutely disgusting. Also if it's not possible just us know, thanks in advance!

Did you try boeffla's kernel? gives much better battery life than stock for me (1/3 longer, in any scenario i tested it).
If you still want to have stock kernel here are the kcal commits. just set up Virtualbox Ubuntu, set up build environment , download official op kernel source (the 6.0.0 version!) and cherry-pick the commits (google it).
If the effort is not worth it, use boeffla's or stock without Kcal.
I can try to help you if you're stuck, but mind that i'm just starting with compiling stuff myself.

Yeah man I have tried boeffla. Performance is okay but battery isn't as good as stock imho. Maybe my settings affected it. Can you tell me which version of boeffla you use and what settings so maybe I can replicate your results. Thanks man.

Sure, i use boeffla 2.4-beta5, interactive battery extreme governor (u can tweak max frequency on little to 1200mhz), set little cores (i use 2, you can set it to 3-4 for more performance) set big cores to min0, max0 (if you need power to play games etc. set to min0 max 1-2) GPU underclocked to 27mhz, boost disabled, governor adreno (or powersave, might gives lags)
Further i installed xposed, greenify, amplify (there is a free version, but u have to compile it by yourself--> easiest with android studio).
And i followed this thread to maximize my battery life.
Tried several rom and kernel combinations, with this setup i get a sot of 5-6h with 48h of not charging or 7-8h in less than 24h. But on Lineage 13 its even better... (trying to compile a custom oxygenos, debloated, without playstore, F2FS capable right now but not able to activate F2FS)
If you're interested in the ext4 image, tell me (its untested though).

Damn dude these settings sound a bit extreme doesn't your phone lag like hell lol. And oh hey that sounds really interesting! Is it based off 3.6.1? And what kernel have you implemented it with. Right now I'm testing HalogenOS (loving it so far) but when I feel like switching again I would love to try your build. Link me!

I don't even have microlags (with other kernels and this settings it lags like hell, idk why boeffla doesn't)
However, app opening speed and switching between apps is a bit slower than usual).
Idk what the official source's base is (i guess 3.5.8) as i could'nt boot it up yet. Kernel is original kernel (with F2FS activated by me), i'll change this when it boots with f2fs.
I'll send you the link when i have time

Any Custom Kernel Working With Miui 9(Lollipop) With 720mhz Gpu Clock.

Hi Friends Just Wanted To Know, As I Have Been Searching To No Avail. If Anybody Knows Of A Custom Kernel For Our Aging Redmi 2 Prime. That Is Working With Miui 9 And Has A GPU Clock Of 720Mhz. CPU Is Fine At 1.4 GHz. If Anybody Knows Of One Please Share Guys. And If Not, May I Please Make A Humble Request To Our Devs That Have Worked On Kernels That Amp Things Up To That Extent. Please Would You Consider Creating One That's Miui Compatible. Many Thanks In Advance
redmi 2 gpu works up to 465mhz.
720mhz is placebo effect.

Thanks for the heads up bro. Turns out I was just confused by the level of optimization

Kernel j510FN

Why after a lot of time there are no custom kernel(oc) for Oreo and why some kernels Wich don't work don t have accurate clock speed are not deleted or banned rooms ..?
Is there any developer who can make kernel for Oreo who know what doing and have accurate clock and proper clock table?????

There are plenty of custom kernels for aosp oreo and yes some of the clock speeds are fake.We don't have oreo TW yet and may never get it.Also phone is nearly 3 years old now and you know the maximum optimal clock speed is no higher than 1400mhz or possibly 1500mhz.The phones hardware limits the possibility of any future kernel being better than what we have.Someone just tested twister kernel and got 41900 on antutu so that oreo kernel is the best in my opinion. You have a choice of at least 5 or 6 oreo kernels alone for aosp so there are plenty. It's just J5 2016 we have not an S9 we just have to accept it is a soc 410 and has limitations.Tons of kernels available from MM to Pie even twister works on pie.I think is a great phone but we cannot get something more kernel wise that is going to make any significance even with real clock speeds.

I'm just asking someone to make kernel who have options to overclock 1400/1500mhz proper clock
And a little oc of GPU for OREO...

people have lives to live.
All you need to know to build it yourself is here, great tutorials from a really nice guy. Very helpful and normally replies to questions in his thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...w-to-build-custom-roms-kernel-t3814251/page49

Getting away from oreo there are a couple of TW nougat with real clock speeds. One of them is Leviathan and if you have problems flashing that just unzip it delete the build prop and rezip and flash it.The other one is dragon kernel and as far as I can see it has real clock speeds. With dragon I put f/synch off for better performance and read ahead of 2048.F/synch off gives a gain of 2000-2500 on antutu and risk of data loss is non existant for me.I am using dragon on odyssey and listening to music at full volume for last 3 hours and not a single pause and processing is superb.Dragon will give you at least 50% better battery performance than quasar 1.6.Only problem on dragon is it crashes exkernel gpu so better to use kernel adiutor and it works great.Maybe bulgarian jesus will make an oreo kernel as well.

Best kernel for PUBG redmi note 7 (pe rom)

Hi guys. Any suggestion what would be the best kernel for playing PUBG on my redmi note 7? I would like to play with stable 60 fps on smooth-extreme settings. Any tips and tricks? Thank you in advance!
Are you sure that's even possible? What's your background on computer science? Because I highly doubt that modded kernel gives you the improvements you're looking for.
There is only so much you can so by software. If the phone's video card isn't fast enough, the kernel can't rreally do anything about it.
Or is the video driver included in the kernel partition on android devices??
Buy a more powerful phone
Search for Agni 10.3 kernel for lavender it works really well
