Install Stock rom with different PDA - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I dont know how to name this thread, so sorry for title.
I have a quick simple question. I have SM-G530FZ in Poland, so for my country PDA is G530FZXXU1BOI2. I found cf-auto-root but with Build ID LRX22G.G530FZXXU1BOJ2. And the question is: Can I install a ROM with PDA G530FZXXU1BOJ2 (which is PDA for France for example), even if I'm actually in Poland?

Novice questions

Hello guys,
First of all Happy new year.
I just got a Samsung Tab and I am learning on it (how to ROM...etc...)
But since it is my first device (android) I would like some help from you
anywhere I can find some tutorials...help ?
what is ROm and what's the difference between ROM and Firmware
what is CSC ? is JPJK2 the latest version ? how ? where ?
thanks a lot.
Pierre
@Pierre. What country are you in, what mobile carrier do you use and what's the sales code on your phone? No one will be able to give you ROM version advice without these basic details.
ROM and firmware are the same thing, people use the names interchangably. The ROM/firmware is the usually seen as the PDA version thats on the device as this is the Android operating system. The devices also have modem software and the CSC (customer specific customisations). The modem code contains drivers for the modem (ie data and voice), WiFi and (afaik) bluetooth. The CSC contains vendor specific applications and mobile network connection details (eg. APN settings).
Have a look around in this forum and in the Samsung Galaxy S forums for tutorials / advice etc and enjoy your Tab!!
If I've given any bad information above, could someone who knows more please feel free to correct me!

[Q] Help! How to make Kies install newest firmware

Hi
I bought my Galaxy Tab in China and now I want to install the Nordic (Norwegian) Stock ROM. I have not been able to find anywhere to download this.
However, I have learned that it's possible to fool KIES to install firmware of choice using "Kies Registry patcher" But to do that I need a valid product code for Norwegian devices.
I have found a Swedish one using the "Check Fus" web version:
Product Code: GT-P1000HKDNEE
HIDSWVER: P1000XWJJ3/P1000NEEJJ2/P1000XXJID/P1000XWJJ3
Does anyone know what to put here to get the Norwegian version?
Thanks!

Help debranding i5800

Hello am very new to android. Have just got a I5800 that was originally on t mobile. Its unlocked now but i want to flash a generic official rom. I know how to root it if needs be. Could someone advise me on how to go about the debranding.
Thanks in advance

Go to samfirmware.com there you'll find roms (official). Search here in the forum for a flashing guide...
ok i have just found the flashing guide.
i forgot to ask about the CSC. i have a diffrent windows mobile samsung (omnia lite b7300) and when i flashed this for the first time i never knew about the CSC.
my question is this. i assume flashing one package will also flash the CSC, and on the winmo omnia lite the CSC had details of the operators that the data settings are automatically recognised for.
is this the same for android devices and if so does anyone have a UK English CSC for the i5800 or is there any way i can back it up and reflash or am i just worrying about nothing
thanks for your help
Well if you're asking that if you flash one package, it will also flash the csc? Probable and if you want a csc for i5800 just download jpf.
yeah looks like JPF has a english CSC.. hope it has provider settings for the uk lol.
am gonna go try flash when the firmwares downloaded hopefully il be ok.
thanks everyone for your fast replys
anyone got any english i5800 roms with CSC included before i smash it out of frustration. loved this phone before this
found the language option but i still need a english uk default rom or csc because of service proivider settings and when i hard reset
Well download a rom from here and flash and you should be on froyo in the u.k and if not try finding an XW rom

just found that you can change the CSC and product code same way you do with another phone (the SGS i think)
*#272*imei#
where imei is your imei
also hard resets, but on reboot it asked me if i was o2 prepay postpay or tesco mobile.
PERFECT!
off to see wat KIES says.
EDIT :
This device cannot be updated
PDA:JPM / PHONE : JP4 / CSC : JPF (XEU)
Not that that matters i have the right csc

Irish O2 operator PDA/Phone/CSC

Hi there!
Does any body has a values from Irish O2 operator for PDA/Phone/CSC and product code.
Trying to find them ...
What exactly do you mean? If you are trying to switch a phone from another country or want to check whether it's set up for Ireland, try *#272* (your imei number without the brackets)# This will tell you what region, should be XEU for Ireland. Post exactly what is you are looking to do.

It shows me O2I. But I've reflashed my device by Multi-CSC firmware and changed it to this value. Cos previous firmware I've used from some of Nordic countries.
I wonna reflashed back to stock firmware and need to know which one is stock for Irish O2.
I think you need to know which firmware was originally on your phone i.e. Froyo 2.2 for example. Then download the stock firmware from here for that version. If you purchased your phone since October 2010 I think it would have been Froyo 2.1 or possibly Froyo 2.2 As I said earlier, on your dialer put in *#272* followed by your phone imei number, then # This will tell you whether you are on XEU which you should be for Ireland. If you have Multi CSC on the phone you should be able to change it to XEU if needed. Why do you want to go back to the stock rom anyway?

Correct. But not only 2.2, any firmware. And then could download latest one by using Samsung Fus downlaoder.

As a back up, need to know stock version.
I9100xwke2 / i9100o2ike1 / i9100xxkdj / i9100xwke2 o2i gt-i9100 ie o2
Thanks Odia but I'm looking for the first SGS I9000
Ok,what version was on your phone when purchased? What version is on your phone now? What region is your phone set to now (see my earlier posts on how to do this)?
You won't be able to download the correct stock rom from here unless you know what version was on it when bought. For warranty, it should not make much difference unless your phone is set to a region other than Ireland.
I'm still struggling to know what it is exactly that you are trying to do, your phone has been flashed, right? What version was on before flashing and what version did you flash onto the phone?
Just thought of something, are you missing some of the provider specific apps? Is your phone rooted? Is your phone unlocked? Are you looking to return it to original status including O2 specific apps?

A while ago my device suddenly rebooted and never booted again. I've restored it by using self made JIG.
What was there have no idea. And this why I'm started this thread.

I'm trying to find stock variants for Irish O2. And then download firmware for my operator by this tool: http://fus.nanzen.se/

Phone is rooted, unlocked and I don't have any problem with any apps. Just wonna to know stock version for my operator.
It's PDA: I9000XWJS8, PHONE: I9000XXJPY, and CSC: I9000OXXJS5.
Date: 01/04/2011.
If your product code is O2i, then you got the preset UK (O2i), maybe it's for ireland and not UK?

[Q] What firmware should I flash?

Hello! I want to completely reset my phone and reinstall stock ROM to my phone (GT S5360), but I'm not sure about the files that I need for that (which PDA, Modem and CSC). I'm living by now in Honduras, should I use an European version? Which one?
Thank you!
