If I'm just using a at&t sim on a vs980 do I flash a Verizon rom or at&t? And which Marshmallow rom should I use? Can I use cm 13?
Your sim card does not come into consideration, I have an at&t phone with a New Zealand sim card.
Flash the Verizon vs980, I'd recommended resurrection remix rather than plain CM.
am usingan at&t phone d800, with telcel sim card. what matters its the phone not the sim card you are using as long its unlocked. if your phone its a d800 at&t and flash different varian d802/ls980 youll brick the phone use the phones variant rom.

I unlocked my sprint sgs4 and am using a sim card in Australia.. its now on FSM and not CDMA.
can I simply flash any i905 ROM and then just a sprint kernel? does that make sense?
I no longer need any of the sprint network customizations being that's I'm using a gsm sim card.. anyone?
I would like to know if it's possible to port the stock ROM of Japanese variant of the LG G2 (L-01F) to an AT&T LG G2?
I travel a LOT to Tokyo and using my phone on AT&T will just cost me an arm and 50 legs when I'm half across the world.
I'm thinking if I just flash the stock ROM of the Docomo version that it'll work, swap out my AT&T SIM card for a Docomo SIM card - flash the ROM and be good on the go. And when I go back to the states I'll just restore the nandroid of my AT&T stock ROM and slip in my AT&T card.
What exactly does it take to port the ROM over? I'm hearing that just flashing the ROM and flashing the AT&T kernel would work just fine.
Thanks for the help!
Bump, I really hope I've posted this in the right section.
I'm not a developer or anything, but wouldn't you need to unlock your phone for this?

Yes my phone is unlocked but some off the apps that are exclusive to Docomo handsets are locked and some are tied to their ROM framework and such. I tried downloading certain apps to see if I can get them to work on the AT&T ROM but it's a no go :\
What happens is I flash the wrong firmware to a verizon s5 such as att or Tmobile?
Will the phone work?
I want to be able to use my straight talk att sim in a verizon s5.
Will it work if I flash the att firmware?
No. Do Not flash a variants firmware to your verizon phone or you will end up with a $600 brick.

You can use your sim WITHOUT flashing other firmware. Verizon 4G phones are sim-unlocked, so put your sim card in, change APN settings, and voila.
I recently unlocked my Sprint Galaxy S4 720T and I'm using a T-Mobile sim card...
now since the phone is now GSM would I need to flash a different ROM than a Sprint/CDMA ROM?
would I have to use a ROM made for T-Mobile S4's or do I stick with the ROMs in these threads?
Can I flash LG G6 t-mobile to AT&T without root? Got the phone for free.. That's why and I am on AT&T
no.
you would need root.. but if you flash any non-tmo bootloader/modem stuff onto the tmo version it will brick the phone.
tmobile g6 bootstack is different than all other G6 devices. and if you flash tmo boostack onto a non-tmo g6 it'll brick the phone.
all of the other non-tmobile G6 variants have a similar bootstack and could technically be shared as long as the anti-rollback fuse settings matched.
There goes my dream for visual voicemail for AT&T on t-mobile phone
Is the phone unlocked to work with an AT&T SIM? if so, just download the att VVM app in the play store. Did that on my unlocked dual SIM phone.
In G5 we can flash G5 puer rico H820pr on to G5 ATT H820. So G6 we can do the same?
