Edit: Fixed!
For those of you with a Canadian Galaxy S6 Edge+ (SM-928W8) having issues with the new Gear VR, all you gotta do to make it work is flash the update manually!
Here is the latest firmware, and of course make sure you make a backup before flashing.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62515/G928W8VLU2AOK5_G928W8OYA2AOK5_XAC/
Works perfectly now! thats the latest update that enables GearVR functionality for this particular model
SM-G928W8 running G928W8VLU1AOGD updated to G928WVLU2AOK5 using Odin and Download mode. I flashed right on top of my previous rooted installation. Re-installed TWRP through odin and and cleared cache.
Working like a charm
Cheers!
Were you able to keep stock kernel without any issues and install SuperSU?

Thanks in advance for the help, hopefully we can figure this out.
Currently my Verizon Note 3 is stuck in a boot loop and I can't get out of it. I have tried all the methods that I have found on here including wiping data/ factory reset and trying to go back to a stock firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483380). Anyways, I got myself into this problem, I wasn't thinking straight... Basically I flashed my N3 from 4.3 using safestrap to JasmineRom 5.0. After that I updated to JasmineRom 5.0.2 doing a dirty flash over the 5.0 with FlashFire (http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/paid-software/flashfire-t3075433). I was surprised how easy it was actually, I have been on a rooted stock firmware since day 1. After everything was running fine, I had the brilliant idea of using FlashFire to install the Lollipop Xposed Framework (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811). This is where the boot loop happened and is happening. Everything I try doesn't seem to work... I was looking into trying to convert a zip to a tar so I can use Odin to re-flash on JasmineRom, but I have had no luck, I get a "Unsupport Dev_Type" error in my Recovery. I am not sure what to do or try, any help would be appreciated.
note: I read the known issue with Lollipop's Xposed Framework install and thought that I was on a custom Samsung Rom and shouldn't have problem?
Also, I can't role back to a previous firmware through Odin because I am upgraded to 5.0 and can't re-install JasmineRom because I am stuck in the boot loop (at least I think so).
I hope someone can help. I stupidly did the samething last night to mine. after it was running so well. I jsut wanted to theme out the damn ugly green in notifications
Well looks like I have phone running again but I had to run stock so no more root for me. Very upset. I want to buy either another used note 3 that still can run this rom or maybe find a note4 reasonably priced. NOT a POS clone.
but runing odin with the 5.0 android file it restored but would not allow 4.4.2 or
4.4.4

I did the same and updated to 5.0 with Verizon through Odin. It fixed it but just lost my root privilege as well... Atm I am glad to have a working phone. I found an error that told me my current software level when I was stuck (5.0.2) and the reason for the error (attempting to downgrad). Looks like Samsung is blocking downgrades.. That is why it wouldn't restore any lower .. Just gotta hope that a 5.0 root comes out.
You should use the dedication Verizon Note forum .
Glad you have your working again as well. I believe verizon is doing this not samsung. VZW does not want us in control of what we put on our phones or more yet what we can do with them without paying extra fees.
Hi,
i tried to install the [ROM] PopWiz Edge Plus 5.1.1 for the Galaxy S5 SM-G900X Snapdragon [Xposed] [Stable] on my Samsung G900F,
everything was good, but i had no network connection. IEMI was correct and the phone tried to connect.
I flashed the rom with TWRP twice. One time with a normal wipe, the second time with formating the internal storage (so it was a extremely clean install). I restored the EFS folder from an old (working) backup und the modem, without success.
After that i restored my old rom from a nandroid backup. IMEI is still the same but i do have network connection.
Does anybody had the same problem?
I am from Italy, i dont know if this count or not.
Do you have Bootloader and modem from the latest lollipop Rom? If not, download from Sammobile and install it with Odin. Then install an advanced recovery, I recommend you PhilzTouch and then root.
Finally flash Popwiz Rom, in aroma select your model and the lite version. Enjoy your new S6 Edge+ ?
Hope I help you,
Regards

I have a Galaxy S5 Edge Plus - Chinese / Tiwanese version: G9287. I have just updated it to the most up-to-date firmware: (G9287ZHU2APA1_G9287ZZH2APA1_G9287ZHU2APA1_HOME.tar.md5)
On the previous firmware I rooted the phone using Arter Kernel for g928fcig , using Philz custom rec, which worked fine. With the new firmware I cannot find any way to root the phone. I must have tried about 30 times with a variety of methods and orders but it always get stuck in bootloop so I reflash the stock firmware and stick with it. There's a line in the James song - Oh Sit Down: "If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor". Life just isn't the same with a non-rooted phone. Can anyone shed any light please? I've tried every root method I can see that's out there - all the obvious ones, incl. KingRoot, arter97 v11, CF Auto-Root, AudaxPlus, S6 Unikernel, OH2_DrKetan, SkyHigh_TW_v4.5.
The only thing that does seem to work is I can get TWRP 3 to load through ODIN, but once I load it and come out again the phone bootloops.
Have you tried flashing an early bootloader like G9287ZHU2AOJ6_sboot.tar
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B62RcNtcpgmpSUk3Mmk0dnNjYnM/view?usp=sharing
That did the trick. Thank you! Much appreciated. I reflashed arter97, superuser through recovery and all is well in the world again. Will keep my eye out for when the more up-to-date firmware is rootable.
hello guys,
I've just rooted my Galaxy S5 Neo and installed the TWRP recovery, but i have no idea if installing xposed framwork is safe to do for the Galaxy S5 Neo. On this tread they say it may cause a boot-loop on samsung devices. Can someone say if it's safe to do or not?

Sure it is safe to install as long as you are able to recover from a bootloop Most likely wanam's Xposed version will work on your device if you meet all requirements to install his version. This part about "may cause a bootloop" is just a disclaimer for people that aren't familiar with flashing, recovery and bootloops.
Download the correct Xposed files from wanam's thread, place them onto your device's SD card (or internal storage if no SD card is available), boot into recovery, do a full backup of your system and then flash Xposed. Don't forget to wipe cache&dalvik afterwards. Then reboot and check if you are one lucky guy. The first boot after flashing Xposed may take a while (up to 10 minutes), so ensure you won't run out of battery during this time.
If you get a bootloop, reboot back to recovery and restore your backup.

In case you are on stock TouchWiz firmware or a custom ROM based on TouchWiz, you need to install wanam's version from here.
If you are running CyanogenMod or any other non-TouchWiz ROM, then you can use the official version from here.
My S5 Neo is rooted with Magisk and there are moduls from exposed to install, but it wont work to install it.
What can I do to install Xposed Framework on my S5 Neo with Magisk? Will it work?
Hello,
yesterday I update my S7 edge (G935F) to official stock Nougat ROM with Odin, then I installed TWRP, custom kernel and Magisk. Now S Health app doesn't work anymore, when I try to open it, a message is shown that says the device is compromised and S Health versions 5.0 and newer are not available on rooted phone. If I reflash stock ROM and don't make any mod the problem remains...
I need S Health and its sensors support, how can I solve?
