Just flash it. It should just work.
If it doesn't you can always downgrade.

Better put this question on cm12.1 thread, replies would be faster.

You can just wipe and then flash CM 12.1 using TWRP.

I wouldn't recommend rooting android m because it is very unstable and my phone kept rebooting but here is the most stable version I found https://download.chainfire.eu/751/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip

So if I've got this straight you currently have CM 4 on your mytouch and want to upgrade to CM 6.0? If so put CM 6.0 zip on the root of your sdcard and then I suggest you do a full wipe of your settings from recovery. After that just flash the CM 6.0 zip from there as well. Then reboot your phone and you should be good to go. It might take a while for your phone to boot back up because it'll be loading all of the settings of froyo on there. Also if you want you can flash the gapps file to get the google apps such as market, etc.

I would just try to install 4.3 or even 4.2 (don't know what is miui built from) bootlader and radio. You can find the old ones in general section.

Yes sir!
So I went to flash the new version of CM12 onto my Razr M xt905. During the flash I got an error straight away "This package is for devices with 4.4 bootloader". So now I can't upgrade to 5.0.. My question is how do I update my boot loader to 4.4?

Sorry but I am unable to find a stock rom for the XT905 only the XT907. Would you be able to direct me to the correct alternative rom or any other solution.

I see that you have blisspop (Sent from my RAZR M on BlissPop Lollipop 5.0.2 from Tapatalk) installed which I might try however is this the correct thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/development/rom-blissstalk-team-bliss-t2917423
I can see that there is a DL link for "MOTO_MSM8960 (JBBL)" which I have 2 questions for:
1) Is this Andriod 5.0?
2) Is it compatible for the XT905?
EDIT: I installed it however once I boot into the OS I get several errors such as 'Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped"

That is BlissStalk, not BlissPop. BlissPop is on droidrzr.com. yes it's 5.0 (as stated in my signature) and it should work since your on a moto msm device.
Edit: not sure about compatibility since the xt905 uses a different radio I believe since it's Australian. Ask the dev

Any fix for this?
Even I have an XT905, and from what i have searched on the net, an official kitkat update hasnt come for xt905.
What can be done to get the latest boot files, so that I can flash the latest custom roms, almost all are based out on KITKAT
You would need a KitKat compatible modem for the XT905. And as you already mentioned, it's not available yet.
But it's still possible to use XT907 ROMs for the JB bootloader.
I am using BlissPop on XT905. You just need to download the "jbbl" version. The first boot takes some time so be patient.
It is buttery smooth and battery life is awesome.
Radio is on separate partition and is not flashed by BlissPop
My friend's got a s3 neo and all he wants is cm 12 on his phone. I rooted using towelroot but I can't get into recovery and even if I install any custom recovery the phone boots into download mode saying "Could not do normal boot" bla bla and Qualcomm secure boot enabled and write secured something like that. I think that some qualcomm security is not letting the recovery written in system. AND then when I boot the phone back on and start flashify it says the current installed recovery: Stock recovery.
Help me here guys. I just wanna get into recovery somehow and wipe and get on with lollipop
Was it on 4.4 before updating to cm 12 ?

Nope. It's never updated to 4.4 it's on 4.3
Are you sure you have installed the 4.3 custom recovery? The 4.4.4 version cannot work on 4.3. Make sure you followed this guide not the 4.4.4.

Thanks man, was flashing 4.4 recoveries all along...
Are there any other lollipop rom than CM12 ?
@Rox @Barbarian-King Guys I DM'ed you both the same thing. Sorry if I'm annoying you but it's kinda urgent and I'm a nexus 5 user. So I installed the cm12 with TWRP for 4.3. and then after installing it boots into the same "could not do normal boot" download mode screen. Thing is He's kinda jerk and wants it back quicly and I know I can flash stock 4.4.4 but my internet is kinda slow. I have Cm11 and CM12 downloaded but no luck with both
Really need help from both of you
Read requirements before installing ROM. You must be on stock 4.4 firmware

You must post in the Q&A section. This is the development section where devs post their roms.
