Are any of the following available on 5.0? I know its fairly new and Xposed and other mods aren't working but hoping I can tweak 5.0 a bit. Currently running GPE 5.0 ROM on an AT&T i337.
1. Pics to SD
2. By app DPI
3. LED control
3. Lock screen shortcuts/widgets (edit default phone & camera shortcuts add cLock widget)
I think those are the main ones I'm looking for now. I'll add more if I think of them. I have been searching around but haven't found anything for 5.0 yet all 4.4.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900F with stock Android 5.0 (PDA: G900FXXU1BOD3, CSC: G900FITV1BOD2).
I want to install Xposed, using arter97 method (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463), but it requires a DEodexed rom.
I already tried multiple times this method:
[HOW TO] DeOdex YOUR lollipop Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/general/how-to-deodex-lollipop-rom-t3065596)
using JoelDroid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.5.
I flashed the modified ZIP using PhilzTouch recovery. However, it hangs at bootanimation for more than one hour.
Basically there are no other guides or how-to's to deodex a Lollipop rom, I followed every step and still it doesn't work.
If anybody here knows why, or has a better guide to deodex a Lollipop rom on a Galaxy S5, please help.
Also, here on XDA I couldn't find any "close to stock" updated & deodexed rom, they're all heavily modified or outdated. If anybody can find one, please link it here.
Thanks
EDIT: forgot to mention, during deodexing, oat2dex failed to deodex Maps and GsmCore, I don't know if this is causing the issue.
Hi, i have the samsung galaxy s4 SGH-I337M jfltecan running android 5.0.1 lolipop. I want to install Xposed framework on my phone. I tried once before and got stuck in an annoying bootloop I also want to upgrade to a marshmallow based rom. Is there any way i can upgrade to 6.0, because i cant find any CM13 or anything that supports my device. If yes, instructions?
For Xposed framework, (If i can get that marshmallow OS) how can I install Xposed for marshmallow if there is a way to get marshmallow on my phone. If not, how can I install Xposed on 5.0.1 on my phone without getting bootlooped. I've heard a lot about having to DEODEX my stock ROM or something, which I dont quite understand.
I know it's a lot to ask, so thanks for any future help!
For a MM custom ROM, you may need to alter the updater script in order to install the ROM.
For CM, look for the jflte ROMs.

Xposed for MM:
Flash 1.
Install 2.
And if you want to get rid of Xposed flash 3.

how did u root ur phone mm? Can u tell me in steps please? Thank you man
Which rom is the best and most stable and also of latest android version for G900F.
Use a custom ROM that is a debloated version of a stock ROM. That way you will get a genuine stock ROM experience without the crap.
Downgrade to Stock 4.4 kitkat and root.. Install Xposed framework and modify stock rom as you want.

Can this be done coming from stock marshmallow 6.0.1 rom? I'm using g900f btw
Yes you can do with 6.0.1 but for 4.4 there is more customization available... I prefer 4.4 on rooted phone but if you want 6.0.1 you can do with that too..
Please give me a fast link of kitkat for galaxy g900h
