Raspberry Pi Emulators - Raspberry Pi General

Hello I'm pretty new at this. I am working on a new raspberry pi project. I am running kodi on my pi and also Advance Launcher to play games. My questions is where do I find the emulators to play NES, SNES MAME etc. for the raspberry pi. I don't want to use Retropi or anything like that. I want it to run on Advanced Launcher. Any help would be great. I have looked at a lot of emulators website but most of them are for Windows or Mac etc. If anyone know please help.

Hi I'm also new to this (havent got my zero Pi set up yet!), is the below link any good, it seems to describe setting up emulators with action launcher via kodi?
Ive used kodi for video only, but will definitely be looking at doing this on the Pi.

Sega Genesis emulators

Hi,
I don't own a HTC universal *yet*, but I would like to know if there are any reasonable Genesis emulators for it.
I found PocketGenesis and PicoDrive, and tested them on the windows PPC emulator and my dads HP4700.
To my suprise PocketGenesis would not work, at all, whatever I tried. Picodrive did give me the introduction screen and such, basically all but sound, however remapping the keys on Picodrive is near impossible (you'll have to manually edit a txt file) so I could play my favourite game ZeroWing on that either.
So my question is, has anyone succeeded in getting a decent Genesis emulator on the Universal ?
Thank you,
TB
lol.
No but my acorn electron emy works a treat!
Now lemme just boot up Zaxxon
Whats the name of the emulator? Sounds good.

Xmbc remote software

Dont know if anybody is familiar with XMBC but what iam looking for, well found but for iphone is a remote control app. There are some out there but i really like the look of http://remote.collect3.com.au/ . Its the GUi i like. Any body know of something similar for WM
Cheers
Take look here. This is working on MY tp2.

And here are the latest SVN's for the old XBOX.

@purple8:
There's quite a few out there; also one called XMOTE. Pinged the dev and he informs me that he's working on a update which will also support the Apple iPad - suggest dropping him a note indicating your interest ... might motivate him further.
@mike2nl:
Have you tested this on a Gen1 XBOX with XBMC (ex: XBMC-SVN_2010-08-31_rev30587-T3CH) with a large audio library?
Keep us posted on the developments of this ... awesome find!
Been looking for an XBMC Remote for quite some time which would allow full control of XBMC without having to be in front of a screen. The Web GUI is fine but lacks much functionality - primarily because no one has really put time into improving it.
Cheers,

I think GRemote Pro has XBMC support. The free version might have it too, not sure. It also works with VLC, WMP, WinAmp, Boxee, and more. The GUI has options for gyroscopic mouse control, trackpad control, keyboard control, number-pad control, media remote control, joypad control etc. The Pro version isn't freeware, and the GUI is different, but it's a sweet app. Connects over WiFi or BlueTooth. There's a client that goes on your WM or Android phone, and a server that gets run on your home computer. Hope the info helps.

Visual Boy Advance port.

Hi all,
I know we already have the great GameBoid emulator for our platform but I was thinking about how great is would be to play some multi-player gameboy games over our bluetooth connections... GameBoid doesn't support this.
In fact, the only emulator that does I'm aware of is the Visual Boy Advance emulator, and it's open source!! Here are some links:
sourceforge.net/projects/vbam/files
vbalink.info
( add the protocols to the links.. i'm not allowed to post links apparently )
If I remember right the original developers quit and it has now been taken over by various teams improving the code base separately... The code is written in C/C++ using SDL library and the version on the second link supports LAN play..
So how hard would it be to port this? Bluetooth has a protocol that simulates a tcp/ip lan network right? Is is there an SDL android port that works well? Is this doable? Are there people interested? I'm a developer myself but I have no android experience...
So I just "launched" the idea.. are some of you interested? Is it possible?
Greetz,
dzn
It would be nice. Even though I purchased Gameboid and it's running great. I think VBA might have better game compabillity.

Hahaha, a phone is a phone BUT there is a few silly suggestions, one of my friends used his old phone as a kitchen clock, also you might use it as a sim only phone, or you can use it for music only.
Gps navigation system.
Ftp server
File server
DVR for cctv
ODB car interface
Tv
Radio
Personal assistant (lexy)

Raspberry Pi 3 GUI menu with some apps

Hello, I need some help!
I have a raspberry pi 3 model, with the raspbian OS installed, and i'm trying to make GUI menu with some buttons, and when i click it will start applications installed on the raspbian, like Kodi, Libre Office and others or a page browser.
But the problem is that I can't make it. I already tried the Glade and the Python but that doesn't allow me to do what I really want.
Does anyone know such a program?
Thanks
