Undervolt - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
is there any kernel for OP2 supporting undervolting so far? It looks like it's not the case. I thought this was a somehow simpler feature, with respect to what many custom kernels offer here. Maybe I am overlooking an off-kernel way to undervolt?
Thank you

Thanks for the answer. I do not see why it should be harsh, nor why I would deserve an impolite answer by the way.
Is there any deep reason why undervolting is not available? In general, it looks like people undervolt SP810. What I mean, it's like OnePlus firmware makes things more difficult, or just kernel developers do not support it because they have better things to do?
Thank you in advance

Look at your username, then read his comment again. Repeat until you understand that he wasn't being harsh just funny

I also thinking about this and talked with Lord Boeffla about this feature. He sad, that he wouldn't realize this in his kernel because he didn't want to answer on thousand questions why there is black screen and bootloop in thousands noob users.

Users will be users... While I understand his frustration, the SD810 is definitely an SoC that needs this feature for obvious reasons. I hope he will reconsider it.
Beyond that, I wonder how difficult it will be to add this feature. Perhaps someone else can just add the feature and release it as a variant?

For now, only Lord Boeffla continues maintain kernel for OPT.
When official 6.0 or CM13 will be released, situation should be better.

Best IntersectRaven Kernel

This is a informational poll to help some people choose between the different types of kernels that IntersectRaven offers.
wrong subforum buddy, ask this on general.
Why would I put this in General forums?? It is about kernels which is categorized as development since it isnt an app or core function
It's a poll about kernels, but has nothing to with development.
Ok. Well sorry you feel that way.. If it bothers you that bad.. just put some white-out on your monitor where this topic is in the topic listing so you want have to see it!! Thanks
Play nice fellas...

Im sorry, but this response is full of win. I applaud you sir.
LOL im just having a little fun. No harm
I will leave this thread in its place since I don't think it would make much sense in the General section. While it isn't development per say, it isn't like saying "what do you like better WM or Android?"

uhhhh.. what am i getting out of???
A poll that could give people a better choice of which kernel to go with???
or
A thread that is filled with intelligence and good information provided by you??
How about lets stick to the topic and talk about advantages/disadvantages and information about battery life for each of the different kernels.
SOUNDS GOOD TO ME
kinda point less since IntersectRaven updates kernels almost daily how bout just read his thread/posts which state the obvious and continue the discussion of his kernels on his thread..
I voted even though I only used one of these.
14hrs gone, 42% left on 925 CFS! Truly awesome compared to stock, this is my company phone so wifi use and call time is high!
Thanks for the feedback!
i use the 925 cfs but i've not tried the others.
I have tried the bfs one but it was a bit buggy for me to try battery life testing

[OFFTOPIC] Devs with attitudes

All the devs I have spoken to are seriously cold but seriously smart dudes, and not one wants to accept a suggestion upfront, but most do incorporate it anyway
Here is salutes to all you guys who have written coded designed or virally reposted any of your work. You make my heart skip a beat <3
within a sentence, you've manage to put an insult, a praise and display of gratitude...
and what's that for? Seems like you're not happy - and yet don't want to display it purely....
Maybe if he/she has made use of punctuations correctly, we would understand his/her statemant much easier.
WTF is this thread about????
Devs rock, I love em. Its about them, this thread.

Ok guys group hug?
Some people are tribal some dance to their own tune. Damian has ruffled many a feather here it seems but so be it he has pride in his work and seems to be a perfectionist, he has his tribe or rather had until the ext2 tribe disbanded along with z4mod and oclf... And the ext4 have theirs.
We all have our personality quirks and the devs often disagree which is expected and healthy.
I think the biggest weakness is pride which can prevent people admitting mistakes and learning from people who may actually know more. Since I am a layman I have no idea who is guilty of this not knowing technical coding talk.
I have seen some comments from Damian which sure seemed a bit rude, maybe a language barrier? Where are from Damian how well can you speak English? Btw... anyway I have grown to understand him an he has integrity and talent... and a Hot head LOL!
And I used ext2 with an old Damian kernel with no problems. Seemed ok to me, curious I even forced my phone to crash and pulled the battery with no problems. He still uses it and many using his new kernel too ...
My greatest respect for being the most diplomatic and humble of all the devs goes out to supercurio. A while back he found a serious bug in universal lag fix kernel, his direct competition, and didn't act smug about it or arrogant. In fact he wrote a kernel to fix the corrupted data this caused. And the ulfk guys promptly rectified it with a thanks. We all make mistakes. Considering his professional level of talent and amazing work he could be arrogant, plus he is French! (Joke).
C'mon I hate to see the stereotype childish, *****y geek coming out so much.
Now Damian, prove to us all you don't have to much pride or passive/aggressive problems with other devs and use some of the work from others in your great kernel that we all want. If you believe the code is sloppy or not up to your standard so be it. You are clearly not afraid to say so, so put it in a separate kernel version with a warning if you like and silence your critics.
Ok...another group hug people

I know, but I just want to make full use of my cpu performence and at the same time it can save electricity, smooth.I'm not good at setting cpu.I need a easy way to use my cpu.At last, thanks for your advisement.
Buddy, all kernels are good. Developers work hard in their free time to make them happen.
Also, not everyone uses their device the same way, so try out different kernels and find out for yourself.
Again, I'd advise you to stay on each kernel for at least 3-4 battery cycles to find out how it goes. Don't judge by the first battery cycle.
Kudos for posting this to the correct subsection.
PM me if you need further help.

Lol if you knew my comp. Good ole Pentium D and a cheap AMD gpu because the onboard fried years ago...then there's the time I don't have to devote to it...hence this thread.
I only ask like this, because although I've very publicly disagreed with Cyanogen Inc in the past, you're work is good enough for me to eat my words and use it anyway. I dont think @LuK1337 is gonna do it because he is much more interested in CM than stock/AOSP.He will remain on maintaining CM for the devices he built it for.
Also I once asked him about making AOSP from source using CM device tree and he told me that many things won't work on AOSP using it and there is no need to try it.So I guess until someone makes AOSP device trees for us, any such roms will not be possible.
also @LuK1337 will you please respond to me on hangouts ?

And, apparently, OxygenOS isn't being open sourced after all. Just confusion caused by OnePlus updating some things on Github for the OnePlus 2. Bummer...

Anyway, just because some OEM didn't release kernel sources doesn't make it right. Both are at fault here - LG and Xiaomi. Forgiving Xiaomi because other OEMs haven't done it either will make it the norm.

That guy is another story. I do thank OEMs for some of their choices, just some.
Also, I look at it in this way:
If I return something I am overdue with, which reaction would I prefer from the lender?
A: Thanks man, try not to take too long again next time yea?
B: Well it's about time, don't do that again next time yea?
I'd feel better with the response from A. But I understand there are cultural differences that makes people think B is also a very reasonable choice, so I'm not trying to accuse anyone of anything negative with respect to that.

Unfortunately no Quickcharge is a feature that can only work if the phones hardware has that capability. In the RedMi Note 4 that isn't present. So flashing a custom ROM won't provide you with that feature either. Click "Thanks" if I helped

The Note 4 has a Snapdragon 625 CPU which supports QC 2.0. Xiaomi just didn't add the drivers that enables it.
