since there are so many variants we need a place to have the latest modems for all the different variants
please start add your modems here with details of your variant, model, csc , etc
I hope people to add here. I'd love the latest for Telstra for sm+n920i
Yes would love for people to add to try some others!
what's the use if we can't change them anyways?
You can change them though?
i am not a dev or that fmailiar but how can we get devs to adds modems here

I'll admit I'm lazy. But you can use twrp to back up the radio. Then upload. Done

We have a lack of Developers involved with the Atrix hailing from Canada, France, Australia, United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil. Or so it would seem....
If you are out there, show your faces! I am willing to help as best I can, I am not without knowledge.
Maybe we can make some kind of amalgam with the French 2.1.1 & the "Pudding" SBF? Are the keys different in the AT&T firmware? Preventing us from using portions of it? We have to get moving on this.
*Update 1*
As I stated earlier, the keys might be different from the AT&T version & CAN/FR/AUS/UK versions. Unfortunately they are. The files released today are useless to us, other than the method to compile an SBF of our own when the time comes. We need someone to leak these files:
CG2.smg
CG3.smg
CG42.smg
CG44.smg
firmware.hmg
RDL1.smg
RDL3.smg
From a Gingerbread build for International Atrix's or we wait for the OTA Update. Basically it's a waiting game for a leak or the first OTA Update that is compatible with our devices. I am not even sure if we can grab Code Groups from an already flashed Atrix though.
*Update 2*
Couldn't we use some of that Bootloader Bounty to maybe "Persuade" someone into coughing up a couple Code Groups? Anyone know someone at Bell, Telstra, T-Mobile or Orange UK?
I have an IDEA.
i tried to depack the unlocking SBF and it works. now i can see all the files:
CG2.smg
CG3.smg
CG42.smg
CG44.smg
firmware.hmg
RDL1.smg
RDL3.smg
If i replace the firmware.hmg file for thefirmware.smgon the french or Telstra sbf, it should work but i have a big problem, i cannot repack the file . i have an error message (Error opening files from folder. Some ramdownloaders have nothing to flash, remove them.) (

I was about to do just this. So I am guessing we have to figure out if these .img files are signed with the right keys. It seems they are compatible with AT&T devices, but not ours.
I am unsure as to how they did this. I am sure they all chat in IRC somewhere, we need to get in there and ask a few questions.
*edit*
Ended up here. Seems there is a way to recalculate the checksums of the sbf.
Got one step further, went to compile but errored out half way through.
*edit 2*
Not gonna work. The program errors out even when you unpack and repack the stock 2.1.1 SBF.
Try to unpack and repack the SBF, we never know

i haven't seen the full .sbf, all i've seen of this firmware and the way to apply it is in post 2 of this thread
We have waited so long for an unlocked BL and now when we get one, everyone that isn't on AT&T are SOL. I have 100% had it with the Bell side of things.
Looks like we are waiting for an OTA update.....
I guess we'll just have to wait until the 2.3.3 OTA update is released. I know there's skepticism regarding international users obtaining this update, but Motorola went on record stating that it will be released simultaneously for US and UK users. Since SBFs from Orange UK work on all international builds, it would seem likely that all international users will get Gingerbread from them.
EDIT: How were ATT users able to unlock their bootloaders anyway? And why is it so different for us?
I know you guys on Bell are extremely anxious to get your BL unlocked as well, however, I dont think it was necessary to create a new thread in the DEV section for it... It hasnt even been 24 hrs yet. Its also been said hundreds and hundreds of times that requests do not belong in the DEV section.

Although i do appreciate where your coming from, i do think it is necessary for a Bell/international thread for unlocking BL/2.3 for Bell Atrix seeing as our framework is different from the ATT.
Perhaps this request could be moved to the correct area but i do think there should be a Bell/International related thread in the Dev forum.

Umm see, once we unlock ALL of our Bootloaders... there wont be a "Bell" or "AT&T" version. We will all be running the same stuff. AFAIK.
That's really why I want this the most, I am sick as hell of AT&T only stuff, which is 90% of the mods available, and 100% of the Unlockable Bootloaders available.

There will still be bell and att versions - the firmwares are still different. I dont think we'll be running "the same stuff" until some of the devs polish up some custom kernels painted with custom roms that can support both models of the Atrix.

I can 100% guarantee there is 1 model of the Atrix hardware. Maybe a couple revisions, but the same hardware nonetheless. This being said, only the software differs. Now that we do not have to use signed files, we can essentially all use the same kernels and data partitions.
If we had an unlock for our phones and flashed the 2.3.4 HKTW build, I highly doubt there would be much difference between our phones and yours when flashed with that same build.

I have an I337 running on tmobile network. I have tried both tmobile's and at&ts roms and both get 4g but the att&t rom seem to connect faster. I am currently on mdl modem and woul like to experiment with tmobile's modems and am wondering if it is safe?
Thanks in advance

I heard doing this could possibly erase your IMEI number. Personally, I'd only flash my carrier's modems. Just to be on the safe side.
Its not wise to use other carriers modems, and it will clear the IMEI, but I have heard that it can be done. Kinda of a hit and miss thing, if you are going to pursue it, backup your efs first.

Your welcome, and trust me, do not get into the IMEI restore thing, you talking about a pain, try that once.
good choice. in all the diff radios i have flashed on various phones they gave no more than minimal improvement if any
i thought initially the mf3 radio was better, now not sure

I hope I'll never have to go through that but if I did, can you share the steps? With my s3 (may it rest in peace) a simple "reboot nvbackup" and "reboot nvrestore"command in terminal emulator was all it took, and it saved me many times. Would this also work with the s4?

You're right that has been my experiences with different radios also.
replacing the IMEI, talk about a hardline approach from Samsung.
I remember on my S1 flashing radios from S1's all over the world, Europe, China etc etc
Though thanks for this thread, I was actually wondering about flashing a canadian modem, to unlock AWS and since it's one build higher than the AT&T modem
Just a reminder, it is not wise to run other carriers modems, the modems we have are sufficient to do what you need, and if you find a way, you will not see much of a change if any.
Good luck to all.

Hey man, i am starting to think i would have to flash another variants modem on my s4 m919v because i dont see any modem files for my phone on xda or atleast i cant find many because this variant isnt all that common. What do you think its possible right?
Oh and the reason i want to flash modem is because i want to flash an older modem for s4s that allowed them to be unlocked using the *#0011# code and i cant do that currently. I have heard flashing an older one will allow me to unlock my phone.
I see from this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147755
that the latest baseband has disabled the LTE workaround.
Is that just for OTA ROMs and updates? Do custom ROMS have different base bands? Is it possible to flash a different baseband?
I'm asking because I was thinking about buying a Nexus 4 and want to take advantage of LTE. Is there a practical way to do this anymore?
Sorry if I misunderstand the nature of Baseband and ROMs.
Thanks

thats an old thread!
yes, the 4.3 update disabled lte in the baseband. but you ae quite a bit behind! theres 2 modded radios/basebands that you can use for lte, thats the hybrid .27/.84 and the .33/.84 radios. custom roms have nothing to do with radios/basebands, thats something you flash separately.

Great. thanks.
So tomorrow I will be probably going from the n900a to the n900. One issue I'm having is how the n900 and n9005 are halfway mixed together on here, and I don't know which roms and kernels I can safely use. On top of that I don't know what to expect when running it on AT&T (other than a lack of LTE). I go on sammobile and don't know which stock rom I'll need in case of an emergency.
So if anyone could help with guiding me through all of this, I'd appreciate it. I'm 99.99% sure that LTE is out the window. I just want to know what I can do on here. Usually these forums are cut and dry as far as models getting their own section, but international is so different.

After you get your phone simply go into settings then go to "about",
there you will see the exact model number of your phone.
Once you have that then go to sammobile.com and download
the odin flashable stock official rom for your phone's model.
When looking for a custom rom to flash make sure that it's
compatible with the model number of your phone.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, but when I go on sammobile there are so many different stock roms from so many countries. None of which are mine. So I don't know if it matters which one I choose. The n900a just had one.
And it really makes it more difficult, for me anyway, when they make n900 and n9005 share a section. I know that n900 has a separate "android development" section, but everything else is combined, and it only serves to confuse.

Hey guys,
is it possible to use one of these in Europe with full 4G support? Can I flash ROMS that are meant to be used on the European model and it will fix the antenna or should I flash specific Verizon ROMS and then flash an european modem, if at all possible? I thank any input because I'm clueless.
Thanks!
