Fresh Rom, Pre-kitchen - NO ADB DRIVER???

I am in dire need of assistance.
My hero is running 1.1 fresh and trying to use prekitchen 0.2 after prekitchen 0.1 and 0.1b failed yesterday. My phone won't give me the option to MOUNT SD when I connect to my pc, though it does have option for HTC Sync.
Now my device wizard is showing problem for the "android device" and when I open it, it tells me it's missing the adb driver!?!?!
WTF? I have had zero problems until yesterday. I also tried to DL the update driver from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html but after extraction windows says there is no driver in the folder.
AHHH. I think I might break my Hero in half, or worse, my computer.
please help, anyone, please.
try re-downloading the SDK and running/installing it. That's where the drivers come from
Please try to not post the same thing in multiple places.
You are running windows 7. Download the driver from here and install it.

Happy flashing!

Hi thanks for the tip got adb working with naked drivers but which ones should i use for mtp it doesnt work with google ones...
I would recommend downloading the SDK (should also be linked) and then run it and update the drivers from there

Windows chose the wrong ones, it happens
Go to device manager, look for all the usb drivers, plug in tablet and see which one pops up, then manually update (should be in the naked driver folder or SDK if you updated it)

Nexus 6P won't install on any system

My dad has a Nexus 6P.
When he connects it to my Windows 10 PC or his own Windows 10 laptop, nothing appears in Computer (any USB mode on the phone).
Device Manager shows a yellow exclamation mark next to the device.
Trying to reinstall shows that an error occurs whilst installing 'MTP Device' (service installation section in INF invalid).
I have tried installing the standard Android USB drivers, no luck.
I've tried with and without USB debugging mode enabled.
Any ideas?
Is the device having any issues? Like is it boot looping or just dead?
If not, it definitely sounds like a driver issue. Open up your device manager and delete any Google / Android drivers and then reboot the PC. That part is pretty important. PCs can be a little wonky with drivers. After that install them via the method posted in Heisenberg's guide. Reboot the PC again and then try.
Guide Here.

There are no drivers to uninstall in Device Manager. If I right-click on the (exclamation mark) device in question, I simply get 'Remove', which 100% doesn't uninstall drivers, presumably because no drivers are installed.
Also, the instructions there require a load of stuff (CMD, platform tools, Android debug bridge and all that rubbish), just to install the drivers. I doubt it's that complicated.

I've given you the tools to get it up and running, whether you choose to use them is up to you. If you read the guide, you'd see that you don't need to install the entire SDK. It's one of the first things mentioned in the drivers section. Good luck.
Edit: Read your post again. Seems you're a little confused. CMD is a program already on your Windows PC. You must use it in order to use fastboot. Fastboot and ADB are literally the drivers you need to install. Not "rubbish." Read that guide and take it to heart. There's a lot of learning ahead for you, no offense.

Even if you don't wan't or need ADB/Fastboot, a link to the standalone USB drivers is provided in the guide. If you still have issues, an existing driver installation is likely causing the problem. There is a free tool called USBDeview you can use to get rid of the conflicting drivers.

If you just want to be able to transfer files back and forth between computer and phone you can try installing Huawei's Windows software which should download necessary drivers. I didn't personally find the software all that useful but it's another option if you aren't looking to do anything complicated with your phone.

adb devices doesn t show my phone, le pro 3 AI X650

I have tried and failed to do anything with this phone. Installed and uninstalled Google usb devices with sdk tools, adding legacy drivers didn t do anything (it says that the device can t start code error 10). I do have Usb debugging and Oem unlocking ON. The cable doesn t seem to be broken and it is pretty clean the same goes for my USB ports of my laptop, I just don t know what do at this point tbh. Can anyone help me?
This issue is with Windows corruption or a driver conflict.
First you should use an Admin privileged account to uninstall all of the usb drivers that you installed
Use CCleaner to clean the registry. >> Clean the registry , junk and temp files 3 or 4 times until it find nothing.
Restart computer.
On the phone Ensure that you have enabled developer options, and File Transfer
Install Media Feature Pack

Install Windows updates, restart the computer >>>> Now it should work.
If it doesn't follow these steps.

My OS is windows 2019 LTSC I have instaled it like a month ago and it didn t have any problem with it till now.

I always uninstall all the drivers that I am replacing ... . And I even used the USBDeview and uninstalled all the things that weren t in use.
Use CCleaner to clean the registry. >> Clean the registry , junk and temp files 3 or 4 times until it find nothing.
I delete temp and %temp% files every week, I didn t use CCleaner in some times as the last time I uninstalled it(Not on this laptop) when they ****ed up with the insulator and installed a Trojan or something along the lines.
Restart computer.
I did this a lot, I lost count of it, and after restarting I used adb kill-server adb start-server commands.
On the phone Ensure that you have enabled developer options, and File Transfer
Of course I have them enabled I even said that in OP.
Install Media Feature Pack

I have this installed already .... .

I update my PC every 2 days... .
If it doesn't follow these steps.

DIdn t helpt at all... .
I can transfer files on my phone tho, just adb doesn t work so it can t be a a hardware problem.
Also you know people don t start installing and updating things because they worked before they do it because it didn t in the first place.

Unable to install Dex for Windows

(to note: latest public win10 build, all avaliable updates installed, s10+ exynos on newest build)

uninstalled all versions of .net framework
rebooted
reinstalled .net frameworks

attempted to launch dex installer - nothing happens and cant see a process for it in task manager.
have tried to launch installer after added as an exception to my AV, disabled AV and tried again, run as administrator, force run as administrator from properties menu, tried in compatability mode for older versions.
installed older version of dex for windows, it prompted me to update to latest version, i clicked yes downloaded install files, then appeared to try launch it but window disappeared instantly.

I did see this message when you replied, It was 2am hence the lack of immediate reply.
I did check the Event logs.... then got into a 3 hour fight with .net frameworks and Visual C++ redistributables
The ****ing PC won. Uninstalled and reinstalled .net and the vc++ stuff and tried some other random fixes I saw on various forums but nothing worked so I ended up just flattening my hard drive and starting from scratch.
I think I can trace it back to when I originally installed Windows last year and was using Powershell to disable various "features" and telemetry stuff. I've had ongoing issues with UWP apps and other random software since then and I think it's all related. None of it was a big deal though so I just ignored it.
Luckily it only took about 70 mins to install and configure the OS and all my important applications.
Really wanted to get Dex running and I am happy that it now works, loads better than the Your Phone application imo.
Apologies to anyone who finds this thread in the future hoping that I found an actual fix
