simple question, kinda noobish but help a dude out. if i root while running 4.1, will i be able to upgrade to 4.1.1 without loosing my root? thanks in advance
Probably. Just root again afterwards.
You can use OTA Rootkeeper by Supercurio and just restore Root afterwards.

hey guys!
currently my nexus 10 is rooted but has no custom ROM installed.
I'm wondering if i install the software patch to 4.2.1, or any stock software patch for that matter, will i lose my user data and/or will i have to root my device again?
also if i update CWM to a newer version, will i lose data and/or will i have to root my device again?
Thanks!
nobody knows?

Updating does not affect your files or apps at all.

Its possible to lose root with any OTA of course
But use OTA rootkeeper
You'll only lose data if you unlock,or install custom rom(but if rooted u can backup first)
Hello,
May be a silly question, but when the OTA arrives will I need to flash back to stock?
I assume I don't have to "un-root" considering the update will apparently remove root anyways. I just need to know if it's okay that I'm on BajaROM, or if I need to restore back to stock.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will. You can either get titanium backup- root and freeze SDM to stop the requests or you can use one of the methods in the general section to update and keep root.
Am I correct in understanding that there isn't a way to root this device? Or is it possible some way that I am not seeing? Thanks.
