Gnote and kies

Hello everyone!
I had my phone att a service center because my simcard stopped being recognized so they have changed the hole motherboard.
I got my phone back and now when I connect to Kies, it doesn't find the country code I should have NEE but it says XXX, and also it says no updates possible vi Kies for this phone?
I have tried flashing other stock rom and changing country code but the result in Kies is always the same?
Does anybody had the same problem?
Should I send the phone back to service?

It is up to you I had the same issue. Send it back in they didn't do **** just the frame got replaced because they have screw it on first repair. After that I asked for a replacement, and got it. That was in Germany with international Note.

At least or Germany the rules are on your third time you have to send it in FOR THE SAME problem you can and should get a refund or a replacement. Depends from the country and from the Internet from the seller.

Remove the Sim Card from the Galaxy Note power it back and connect to the Kies.

Do you think removing the sim is going to help? I will do so I come back with my result.

While trying different rom my rom didnt want to pass through the configurarion moment with some error text that appeared :-(, I think I management to softbrick the phone.
Your recover from that I had ton instal å wipe version rom and the phone booted normally again. As för the country code its still XXX för me:-(

New OTA Update for ICS German stock rom

I'm with 'Open German' ICS 4.0.4 stock rom.
Kies Air updated and I've 4 more useless apps.
Any chance I can grab somewhere the change log?
Anyone else beside me have this update?
P.S. - In Hebrew it says 'Improved Stability' (something like that).

I had the prompt come up, but I haven't got a clue what it's changed as your build numbers are the same and haven't changed by the looks of things, I can't install it anyway, as I have CWM Recovery installed and not the stock,

Do I have the latest firmware?

Just got a tab 2 7.0. Works great so far. But what is the latest firmware version for this guy?
Right now it's packing ics 4.0.3.
If there is a newer version, will it come ota or via Kies? I'm new on Samsung so any help is appreciated!

Try kies and first update it to latest version and try also ota update setting/check for updates
Some esp. in Us have 4.0.4 try also search www.samfirmware.com for your country
or if you want to install unofficial jelly bean go for
www.teamhacksung.org
and you must be rooted first and install cm10 but you should have cwm 6.0.1.0 or 6.0.1.2 you will find operation in site

Data connection

Hi!
I have a problem with my data connection and the problem is that several times a day it gets stuck so that I have to turn off and then on the connection to work. Sometimes I have to reboot the phone. What do I have to reflash for it to work?
I'm running Xnote v.18 with lean kernel.

- First, swap the sim card into another phone and also put another good sim card into your phone to make sure the the problem is not caused by network or sim card.
- 2nd, check your APN settings. Contact your service provider for the proper parameters
- 3rd, if the problem is due to your handset, you may need to reflash the baseband or another baseband.

Are you by any means from Finland and using Saunalahti ? If so, try getting an un-roaming sim card from their shop, it should be free of charge. This has fixed the problem for quite a few people.

Hehe, born in Finland yes but I do not live there. I'm almost positive that my random 4g connection problem depends on bad flashing. I would love to get my hands on a pure baseband file that I can flash over my old one. Just to test if its that. Ohh..and today when I was about to enter TWRP recovery the phone just booted back to Android instead of recovery every single time. Almost like I never had TWRP recovery. Wonder what that's all about?

Update rooted Galaxy Tab 4 without wipe

Hi everyone, I have a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 SM-T530NU running KitKat, and would like to update it to Lollipop. The problem is it is rooted. I can't update it through OTA because my system is modified. Every guide I have found says that I must flash stock through Odin which will wipe all the data. Is there any way to update it without wiping? Maybe using Kies? I don't mind loosing root.

Probably, but it would be a hassle to set up all the applications again

Also, what would be the best way to do a backup since I'll be going back to stock and will probably not root it again?

Is this suggestion for the backup or the update?

I connected the tablet to my computer and Kies recognized it, it then found an update for it. I did a backup with Kies, but I didn't try to download the update. Has anyone updated their Samsung device using Kies while rooted? Or should I go the "flash with Odin and wipe data" way?
