Did you search the Themes forum? There are threads and mods there for that exact thing.

any luck with this yet?
to remove AT&T (or other) carrier label on on Galaxy S4 and replace the 4G/4G LTE icons with stock icons.
1. open build.prop
2. Locate this line (AT&T model):
ro.product.device=jflteatt
ro.product.model=SAMSUNG-SGH-I337
ro.product.name=jflteuc
3. change it to:
ro.product.device=jflte
ro.product.model=GT-I9505
ro.product.name=jfltexx
4. reboot

I have tried this and it does work(on mf3 update). it also changes your model # in the 'about phone' information. will this cause any problems with anything else? or will there be a reason to change it back?

Network SIM lock after flashing Official 4.4.2 Rom

Morning all,
I've installed the mexican 4.4.2 Official Kitkat build version on my Note 3 n900w8. After the install (it went flawless) I noticed I've now got a mexican boot screen (no biggie) but I'm now getting a network lock on my sim card, like the lock settings are tied to the firmware and not the modem??
I may just restore back to 4.3 from the Rogers build (I like official builds) but I'm looking for ideas on WHY this happened, also ways to avoid it.I'd love to run 4.4.2 properly without needing a SIM Unlock.
Having said that, are their any non-code unlocks for this? Or is it all code-based unlocking on this model??
Thanks All.

If you check out polish_pat's thread, it'll guide you through the flash process. What I think you have done is substituted the Mexican CSC in place of your own and locked it (I could be wrong) . --- you need to use the Rogers one, check his thread out it has the links etc in it also
Thanks a bunch! this worked perfect. I swear I searched the forum before I posted, and didn't see Polish_Pat's thread

[Q] How can i activate sm-t332's phone call function

Hi friends,
Sm-t332 and sm-t331 basicly has no hardware difference. But the number 332 means this tablet is closed for phone call function. I have sms and 3g functions though. Its only a software limitation. I have installed google's phone.apk, tried for call, it returned error with call is not supported. Also in priv-app file, tablet has stock dialer.apk but cannot visible at touchwiz homepage.
I know, tab 3, note 8 etc. came to my counrty with same restriction and can be activated with porting kernel, baseband of other country's roms. But i'm not sure what to do. Is there a guide to port baseband or kernel (i didnt find anything but rom porting). Or is anyone know which steps i should take for activate call feature.
I compared build.prop files between stock t-331 and stock t-332 and there is no difference. (only regional firmware codes).
(bad english of course, sorry about that)
Its gonna take a while , I just activated kitkat sms+tether in framework exposed and in setting it shows call settings .it even gives us the option to call in contacts,attempt to make calls but doesnt go through
yeah same problem here bro i bought this in turkey why it cannot activate an phone calls

Tricky - Japanese S5 (SCL23)

Hey guys!
Recently came home from Japan and since I bought a Galaxy S5 there with the operator AU, supposedly a SM-G900J but having the model name SCL23 there, and would like to use it here in Sweden.
I started off with downloading Odin and flashing the oldest firmware I could find for the phone at Sammobile. I then used this guide here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f777/samsung-galaxy-s5-scl23-unlock-guide-1886172/ and actually managed to unlock my phone. Seems to be working fine making calls and using LTE. Although from that I can digest the hack seem to be tricking the phone that it is roaming. Since I could not enter the Network menu at all with my Swedish SIM inserted it is quite useful anyway.
It kinda sucks being stuck at the oldest firmware though, and I believe flashing to original operator Lollipop 5.0 will remove the unlock hack. Will try in a little bit.
Anyway, I don't care about warranty or anthing so my phone can become Knox 0x1 for all I care. So, can I root it with towelroot and try to flash any custom ROM on it? Or will this brick the phone since it is some kind of special Japanese version? And will a custom ROM be operator unlocked?
Thanks!
Well, I managed to fix everything on my own and everything seems to work excellent with Lollipop OS, operator applications cleaned and operator lock unlocked.
http://choimobile.vn/threads/rom-bi...pop-galaxy-s5-s5-lte-a-note-3-j-sc-02f.49119/
Use this guide and flash the BNG3-firmware and TWRP recovery with Odin. Then install the custom ROM in recovery.
I might add that I did first use this unlock guide in the original ROM and also rooted with SuperSU before flashing the custom ROM. I'm not sure these two steps were necessary though.

Hi! I'm currently waiting for my scl23 to arrive and planning on unlocking and upgrading to lollipop. I came across this post and want to thank you. I will be trying to do the procedures here once i get the phone. I'm hoping you camn help me if ever a problem arises.
note that u can't use finger scan and dock-charging with this rom, though
I used the stock rom for unlocking and root following instructions from that vietnamese link. Then just TiBU to remove the bloatware. Everything works okay for now. Thanks!
Samsung Galaxy S5 SC-L23 screen don't want to turn on.
Hello Guys, I'm from Indonesia
i have a troubleshoot on my phone
My Galaxy S5 SC-L23 screen has turn off since i upgrade it to Android 6.0, turn to dark black, and when i try to turn on the phone, its on, but the screen don't want turn on, and any gesture when i swipe my finger to the touch screen, it's has a sound like when you want to open your screen lock. Then, when i replace the screen to the pre-owned Samsung Galaxy S5 Global version, it's turn on, but only until the booting, and then the blue led turn on, and reboot later. The battery when i change is also cant be turn on. What happen to my phone? Anyone can please give me some reply and i will appreciate it.

Was any one able to change CSC of Galaxy note 20 ultra? exynos variant OXM multi CSC?

So i am trying to change the CSC of my Galaxy note 20 ultra from DTM to DBT or VD2 ... all of them are a part of OXM multi CSC firmware.
Flashed via ODIN using the right CSC file, and the flash was successful however the CSC did not change ... Tried multiple times and ended up with the same outcome.
Samkey still does not support N20 ultra !!! Any tips on how this can be done?
I am running the latest firmware with August patches.
Security Patch Level 2020-08-01
Product code DTM - SM-N986B
PDA N986BXXU1ATH3
CSC N986BOXM1ATH3
Help will be highly appreciated.

I tried and SIM card CSC change is no longer working, i have an INDIAN SIM and once inserted in note 20 ultra, it detects the sim but no longer pushes for a mandatory restart.
Something has changed somewhere, and i have a feeling its got to do something with One UI 2.5 update

Since the release of the S20 series this method no longer works. That's why everyone had to use samkey.org or the free apk by the mysterious Dev but since the August security patch both no longer works.

I just did the *#272... method. Still working on my N986B/DS even after the Aug security update . I even reverted it back to the original CSC code before I sold it yesterday. Sold it and I have now the N9860 512Gb Hongkong variant. Tested the *#272... code but it's not working on this unit.

Since you're rooted, Just edit the cscfeature.xml file with <CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording> and reboot. Voila!
2 things that made the *#272*IMEI# work on my N20U5G Exynos (Aside from having an OXM fw, see attached files)
1. I copy-pasted the IMEI. If I just type in my IMEI, it will not work.
2. I used Samsung's stock Phone app. Having been using an Android One device, I am used to using Android's Phone app. Since it's my go-to phone app in my N20U5G, the code will not work on it.
From my understanding, this code only works on Exynos variants of N20U/5G. Since the DATA feature for my SIM2 was disabled on its original f/w, I changed my CSC code to XTC. Now I can set DATA on both SIM slots.
CONFIRMED CSC CARRIER CHANGED Follow the link Below :

Well, Just Follow OP Instructions.
My Phone Rooted, I Follow Dr.Ketan Instructions how to root in Exynos section.
Am on latest Stock Rom, All Bloatware Remove with Adb Shell command.
1. I do Not install TWRP.
I extract Patched AP (magisk) and copy Boot.img, then convert Boot to Patched Kernel.tar
And Follow OP Instructions for CSC
"You will also need to edit mps_code.dat inside /efs/imei to reflect the carrier you desire. This needs to be done from a rooted system or from TWRP. After doing this and rebooting, you will be booted into your carriers system."
"Keep in Mind" You Must Copy mps_code.dat from your system to your SDcard then modify it with your desire CSC carrier Code. (For me I use Fx editor) (I have FX file Explorer Plus Root v8.0.1.0). Replace your Modify File to your System.
Reboot....
I confirmed All working Great Guys. We Can Change our CSC Carrier. "THAT'S A MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR GO". Really thats Awesome. Mentalmuso My Bro That's Awesome share Buddy. You Really Rock on this One.

I think most would prefer a non-root option as some apps may no longer function correctly (i.e bank apps).

Yeah tribalfs,
Same here. No way of changing the CSC of my N9860 .
So for now call recording only with an extra app "BoldBeast" (with some quirks - like lower sound volume on the caller side "compared to our own level", and non-working on Bluetooth calls).
But it's better than nothing (My Note 9 still has call recording "using the Thy SIM Swap/reset trick", but I wanted a new experience "need to move" ).
Cheers,
FJorgeR.
I have adapted the S20 CSCfeatures zip if anyone is interested - just install in Magisk

try force restarting your phone using the volume down and power and see if it takes you the the screen where is says there was an error during an update screen and reflash the firmware again. it should not have taken 2 hours on that part and i can only assume that the app froze on your. with an average computer it should really take more that 5 minutes to completed a firmware flash
