Go into settings>My device> and find "Power saving mode" and disable it if its enabled.
Doing this might solve your auto brightness issue.
Good luck!
Nah I've gotten used to it by now.
I only get the dimming thing when I switch to and from Google apps like Chrome.

I had the same problem but you can sort it out if you're rooted and using STweaks:
Set 'Brightness Reduction' to 0 under 'screen' settings
Dimming Problem
Hi,
I would appreciate if you guys could give my app a try. Even if you found a workaround...
It's an easy to use application that allow you to manage your screen and can allow you to stop it from dimming.
It can be configured for specific apps also. Please give me your feedback!

Hello guys,
I'm using kitkat with TWRP and root. I notice that the time from unlock device to take a picture ranges from 3 to 4 seconds.
We know there's an animation when you slide right-to-left until camera app loads, which possibly takes ~ 1 second. My question is, is there a way to kill this animation?
Found this after 10 seconds of search on the Playstore. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.warpcode.nexus7camerawidget&hl=en
You might need to disable face unlock for it to work correctly or you'll get a black screen when the camera launched and have to switch camera mode to get the image back.

Thank you, man, I searched google for a tweak. I was not that smart like you to think there could be a whole new widget for that.
I have discovered that while stamina mode is active that the ultimate notification control doesn't operate correctly. The led will flash once or twice, then stop.
Does anyone know what app I should be adding as an exception to stop this from happening?

try Light Manager - LED settings. i've changed colours. it works great even with Stamina.
There are more applications that won't work correctly when in stamina mode, eg the smart connect tool, flitsmeister,... background process are frozen when screen is off.

If you want colour, turn off ultra power saving mode.

i want color in upsm is there any chance to make it work by changing codes in SQLite Editor
in my galaxy tab e t561 color is available in UPSM
I think this is possible but no one has uploaded an available tweak for that. My cousins' Galaxy Grand Primes do have UPSM but theirs are colored unlike ours which is grayscaled (we use AMOLED screen so grayscaling the screen really helps a lot in saving battery life).
Can anyone develop a mod to enable color in upsm in galaxy s5
It is only UPSM 'Because' it is black and white
Your request is like saying, I want that blue car, but I want it red, while it is still blue

I think you totally miss the point of UPSM in Galaxy S5 an higher models.
1.) Galaxy Tab e t561 use TFT screen. Galaxy S5 use Amoled screen. The difference is that when pixel must show "black color" on TFT it will drain energy but on AMOLED screen it will not lit this pixel leaving it black = no energy drain.
2.) Galaxy tab S5 "power saving" mode = TAB e T561 UPSM . UPSM in Galaxy S5 is not the same and is more efficient.
3) Above informations are further described in large pop-up that appears when you first enter UPSM . You need to accept it, so I assume you didn't read it.
4.) Finally: Why do you need color on "minimal" screen that main purpose is to show few icons and is designed more to call/sms from phone on minimal batery left rather than watching youtube/playing angry birds?
To sum it up. This "grayscale UPSM" is unique feature for AMOLED models aloving to run on battery longer than other devices. Nobody will "hack" it for you here. If you want power save and colour you can choose "power save" mode.
You may not know thats why my reply.

Dont offend by I'm thinking you are now just trolling.
I don't know how UPSM works on Galaxy Tab e t561 , but on Samsung S5 UPSM means special screen with few icons. Even if you use "hack" to run any apps on UPSM mode, still the CPU goverment is set to agressive power saving . Most of the games would not start or will works very slow . Enabling "color mode" in this scenario *MAKES NO SENSE*
UPSM mode is not for gaming but for keeping phone alive longer. I still believe that you mean "power mode save" that's second power mode on Samsung S5 . I allows you to use color screen, play a games and save some battery. UPSM is for different purpose.
Just stop replying to him

yes you are correct it is like that in s5
but in samsung tab et561 it is in color
sure there is a way but i did not find it yet
I have galaxy note4 i flashed a custom rom not sure exactly which one but The UPS mode was color not black and white.
basically UPS mode in Note4 is Black and white but in that rom it was really different.
if you look at the apps with titanium backup when you use UPS mode you will see that almost all of the apps and processes are disabled (turned off) except the most important ones, which will leave you with a lot of free ram and battery life it will not affect the power of the processor i mean your game will not lag if you use UPS mode.
the custom rom which i used (iam not really sure which one was ) were
1)SweetROM_V4_BOF1_N910H
2)mannyvinny_N910HXXU1ANL1_stock4.4.4
I am not sure if these roms are updated or not. i think these are the roms because i searched my Mega account and found that i have saved some Note4 custom roms on my account.
