Moto X Pure no Vibration?? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just got my beautiful new Moto X Pure in the mail today, started setting it up and playing with it until I realized that the keyboard wasn't vibrating. In fact, the phone isn't vibrating at all. I checked all the settings, made sure vibration was on in notifications. Nothing. Can someone please give me some good news of advice on how to fix it?
I unlocked the bootloader which is essentially a factory reset. Still no difference so far.

There seem to be a few sporadic issues. My accelerometer sensor didn't work out of the box either. The vibration in mine was definitely obvious, a lot stronger than my GS5.. might be a defect.

Ringer quit working

I have had my X since the 16th and have had this problem happen twice now. The phone will only vibrate when you get an incoming call. All the other notification sounds still work and if I go into my list of ringtones they will play there when I select one, but not when I get an incoming call. I went to a V store and they call tech support who ended up putting my through to Motorola tech support, when I got to a lvl 2 support person I was told that this is a known issue with the phone and that the only "fix" is a factory reset. I tried to explain to the support person that having to do a factory rest isn't a real fix, but he didn't seem to care, just read from his script. The person told me that once you reset it it wont do it again, but mine has. I now have a new phone on the way, but the downside is it will take a week for me to get it. Just a heads up if it happens to you, try and get it replaced because the "fix" doesn't work.
This is a bug on the phone I believe. My friend had the same thing happen to his. Did you by any chance turn on smart profile?
This is currently happening with my X.
Don't have the "Smart profile: Face down" enabled. Doesn't seem to work either way. (Or "Phone vibrate" for that matter)
It worked fine for a while, but seems to have recently just gone to vibrate-only somehow.
Been happening to me for a little over a week. was hoping for a froyo update before I hard reset, but no luck.

[Q] Vibration problem

I've been searching throughout the net and seems I might be one of the few fortunate to own a G900F with to vibrations.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed the vibrations stopped working out of the blue. I do not recall dropping the phone or any similar impact to it.
I am on Lollipop. There is no feedback and I did try everything: all settings, the *#0*# test menu.
Everything works fine except the vibrations. If it wasn't the great design of the s5 that would make you take out the display first and only then gaign acces to anything within the phone I would have opened it up the day it stopped working, but considering this... I am not too keed in opening it all up.
Has anybody else experienced anything similar and perhaps found the solution?
Thank you.

1/3 of display acting up

As of yesterday about 1/3 of my screen is acting up randomly. It may flicker, it may be brighter or darker than the rest, or it may be fine. These states can change at any time but most of the time it is still fine. The area that is misbehaving, is above the PK when the slider is closed. Slider open/close has no effect on the screens behavior.
I have a STV100-1 (Nov2015) unlocked from BlackBerry on the AT&T network. It isn't rooted and is current on it's updates. I use a stock launcher and the PK. I have keyboard gestures turned off. My screen does not auto-dim. Although I can't shut off BatterySaver, I have set it so that it does nothing if it starts. I haven't dropped it recently and it does live in a case.
I have shut off advanced interactions and run VBE. I have rebooted as well as shuttting down and restarting.
I don't have any dead pixels and my screen is mostly crisp and clear. My Pre showed similar problems after water had gotten into my keyboard but my Priv has not had anything of the sort happen.
Any help would be appreciated.
Just an update.
Over several days the problem got worse. It got to where part of the screen was brighter and flickering all of the time.
Then suddenly, the other morning my Priv was fine and has been since.
I don't understand it. I can't find any updates or changes to coincide with the problem beginning or ending.
The only thing I can think of was the problem began when I tried to cancel my warranty/repair coverage and ended when I charged and set up my old phone expecting to loose my Priv. Conspiracy theories anyone?
Considering the timing of this to occur, I would assume that it was a terribly timed April Fools prank on you.
Same issue
I've got the same issue. Seems that it might be triggered for some after an OTA update. Resetting did not help. It comes and goes, but of late occupies all of the screen. Have you found a workaround?

amaan6999,
I'm sorry I never found an answer. My screen varies from perfectly fine to solid green. I tried tracking different factors and taking different actions but nothing is consistent.
When the screen is warmer it behaves better, so don't leave it in the cooler. (That's the only advice I have.)
I had a chance to buy a new unlocked STV100-1 on clearance, so that was my solution. I figure I have bought myself time before this one goes bad.
Good luck.

fingerprint Vibration problem

Dear developers. The vibration doesn't work periodically when I'm using the keyboard or something similar, the vibration only works for couple of seconds and then stops. When I shake my cellphone, it works again but for a short period of time, again. can you help me?
Do mention your OS Version so that dev's pr we can figure out what is the issue.
because im not facing this issue in any custom rom or stock rom.

The same thing happening with me even my camera is not working, giving me "please restart the camera" error. PS. Just rooted my moto with magisk and then it's all started (stock rom)

Funny you mention the intermittent vibrate. I had a g5 that I blew the speaker out with a air house at work and I blew the speaker. Motorola deemed it a defect and sent me a replacement. The replacement had the vibration problem. I contacted them and they did another exchange this time waving the $24.99 advance exchange fee and the replacement they sent me, I swear is a brand new device. I would do a warranty swap if I was you.
Vibration issue
Dear team, I am having the same issue since the past 2 months. It works randomly and when I shake the phone to switch on the flashlight, it starts working again for a few seconds and then again stops vibrating

Mic not working during calls after root

Noticed within a few hours after rooting, my mic was not working. Callers could not hear me. This occurs for both regular calls and Hangouts calls. This dosen't seem to be a hardware issue as the mic works for google voice assistant. Seems to occur out of the blue, and so far ive been messing with settings and somehow the mic began working again, but the issue repeated itself later yet again.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?
Looks like im a loner with this issue. This may still be a HW issue. Might swap and get a new phone while i still can and see if the issue persists.
I have a river_amz I just obtained, waiting for sis to come over and get the FRP thing sorted. I'm going to be rooting immediately after unlocking bootloader. I will post here and let you know if I experience the same thing.
Have you found out anything since your last post regarding this btw?
No. It's been solidly working all day yesterday. Trying to make it fail again.
My only hope is its not a intermittent HW issue that will pop up bigtime after my return window expires.

So far, I've not experienced the issue on a rooted river_amz on 16_7.
Mic on MOTO G7 not working
I'm having an issue like this, but my mic just does not work at all. I'm pretty sure this one is a hardware issue because the only way I can talk to people is plugging in headphones. Do you have the regular G7, or the play/power/plus?
