Hello, I recently got a LG Optimus L5(e610) and was searching a very fast custom rom with a kernel and some mod/tweaks to reduce the ram the phone use (and maybe extending it via swap? )
So if any of you can point me in the right direction, it'll be very appreciated.
So far, I've look into Cyanhacker Optimized(by RolanDroid) and his MonsterKernel.
Thanks in advance.

as several people recommended me, I will recommend you also: stock v20 or CM10. I currently am using the Thai ROM v20b on my LG E612f (Brazilian), overclocked, with swap and updated GPU. for now, that was my best solution to play games without much lag. it is noteworthy that you should read the opinions of other users as well, because I'm not a user so advanced, there are many others who are more advanced than me...

Hi! So I've been searching all over the web for some custom roms for my device, actually, for ANY custom rom. I know is kind of a new device, but still! I would like to change the sotock rom for cyanogen mod 10, please if you know where I can find these roms HELP ME!:crying: Oh, and what if I install a rom that was made for the L5? That is e612 for example. Would I have any issues? Cause these two devices have slightly different hardware. Thank you!
There is no cwm for our device yet, so you won't be able to flash the Rom. I am not to clued up with that side of things but I am pretty sure that it would cause an infinite boot loop if you flash the wrong Rom. If it was that easy we would be able to use the sane tool for the l5 to install cwm on the l5 II. You can root your phone though, you can do an awful lot of stuff with root and its a great learning experience porting apps when you don't have cwm.

one has qualcomm cpu, other mtk. that's not slightly different hardware. 100% it won't work.

Just a change in the cpu? That changes everything.
Not to mention it's a mtk cpu. Oh, but I did mention it. There are no cyanogenmod roms for phones using a mtk cpu. I dare you to find one.
I undersrand you know very little about how things work with custom roms, but watch your language.
Hey guys, so I noticed my moms phone after 2 years got really laggy and I didn't like it, I'm experienced with rooting and flashing but its better to ask help from you guys.
First of all her phone is a LG Optimus L7 (Not II)
The baseband is 10e, I read that JB is 20e(?)
Heres a summary of what I need to do:
-Flash JB (20e?)(Can you provide a link?
-Root
-Flash a Custom ROM
About the Custom ROM, if you guys could provide your own opinion, for daily use only, and if possible, the latest OS, Kitkat.
Many thanks guys. )

For kitkat:
I'm using carbon rom, but also recommend cm11 from @cr3pt it's really stable for daily use.
Just read the last 3 pages in users comments die feedback.

My recommendation, don't use latest Android, yet. Because stability problem and speed problem, too
Use something stabler, like CM10 (Jellybean). So, you don't have to upgrade to v20 to flash it.

Yup your right, but he's asking for kk.
If you want to stick with cm10, flash slimbean with phenom kernel.
This is really good.

Next week i'm getting a LG G2 and i would like some advice in which is the best ROM and Kernel i should use?
In other words i would like to know the best combination of ROM and Kernel for LG G2?
sorry for bad english
It's quite difficult to tell... Some people like AOSP roms better, some Stock...
LG's stock is amongst the best of stock roms imho so I suggest you first get to know it and then figure out whether you'd like to change or not.
As for kernels, same story here: if you prefer stability, stock is always better. Battery life is not dramatically improved by any of the kernels I've tried and it's really a matter of preference...
Sorry buddy but these questions either lead to "the depends" answer or to a non-sense argument, usually between stock-partisans and AOSP-partisans... Although for LG there seem to be a consensus around stock being very good anyway, unlike some other brands.
Now for the personal taste: CloudyFlex 2.2 with CloudyKernel is my current daily driver. Stable and smooth plus some great features from Flex rom.
If I helped you, please thank me

Root the device, install Philz Touch recovery and flash away. Doesn't matter which version you start with. If you come from JB and flash a KK rom, make sure you flash the KK baseband but that's all indicated in the OPs

sorry to ask so many questions,
the KK baseband is flashed after or before updating to KK?
and
is it possible to install cloudyflex 2.2 with TWRP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449679), because TWRP is much easier to install?
If you are wondering 'WOW, this guy must be really lazy?', my answer is yes, i am lazy, because internet in South Africa is expensive and very limited and i will thank you as many times as i need until i know everything i need to know!
Everything you need to know must be posted in the dedicated Q&A thread, no need open endless topics
You have 5 posts and already opened 3 threads, this looks like a small abuse...

Dude, I realize I already gave you all the links in another similar thread you opened...
I find Philz to be easy and it seems compatible with more roms but I can't vouch for that.
BB can be flashed before or after I believe. Or you can flash along...
If I helped you, please thank me

I have had this phone since release and have been flashing ROMs and Kernels to it from the beginning. I mainly bounce on the ROM side from ParanoidAndroid to SlimKat to Purity. I tend to use either AK as a Kernel or a variant of Hells. I want to flash a ROM and Kernel combo that I can stick with (until I grab a Nexus 6 that is). I only need 3 things from any STABLE ROM / Kernel combination but they are non-negotiable in no particular order. Smooth performance, battery longevity and optimal audio quality. I would like whatever combo to be specifically geared towards that if at all possible. I am a junkie / flash addict and need this viscious cycle to end! Haha. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

yes.. Inbuilt kernel is good. or try ak.
Awesome. Thanks for your help. One last thing. Do you have any custom settings for the AK Kernel I can use? I see a lot of people tweaking and optimizing Kernels but never have myself. Perhaps you have something you could share. Anyway, I'll flash your suggestions in a day or two and let you know how it went.

Hi all,
My LG G2 is on stock lollipop at the moment and although I've learned to live with the, now, horrible battery drain + eventual OS laggyness, time has come for me to do something about it. Actually my brother has just updated his LG G2 too, and now he is begging me to help him with the same exact problems.
Has anyone here any suggestions towards a combination of kernel and costum lollipop-ROM, which will bring back normal battery-time like I had in stock KK?
PS. Perhaps I would even need a new modem, because in my experience, the thing draining my battery like crazy is related to the 3g/4g data-connection.

Cloudy G2 3.3 + Dorimanx.
Cloudy G2 3.3 + Dorimanx. is excellent ....... it gives you the stock G4 port with one of the best .... if not the best kernel for the G2.
try stock lp+dori kernel or slimsaber rom it have Healthy Honey kernal

Yup Bud .. Download synapse and enable it . The best thing about exceed is you have to do nothing .. Flash and just wait & watch. No more tweak stuff . In addition if you want to tweak your kernel download synapse .

Gonna give it try later, that sound control is very important to me, thanks ya :good:
+1 on slimsaber with the kernel it comes with (honey healthy). It is fast and the battery life is amazing with normal use (no games, tweeting, etc). It comes with kernel aidutor which llows for sound control and other tweaks.
Does anyone know if the xceed kernel will work with the slimsaber rom? Is xceed better/faster?
