I'm sure my phone N9005 16G HongKong version.
Now I can login:
- Download mode (connect OK with Odin)
- Recovery to flash cook ROM.
Thanks!

Reflash the odin file . the one you downloaded . select PDA and flash your phone in download mode with the firmware you had last working on your phone.

HK and Taiwan m9005 can only flash their own respective HK/Taiwan stock FW, if you want to update to 4.4.2 then flash the 4.4.2 bootloader tar and then flash any 4.4.2 rom..
PS- i would also recommend flashing the 4.4.2 radio, some users reported sound issues if they didnt update their modem..
Edit- also questions go in the Q&A section, NOT the dev section
hello. i have note 3 n9005 32gb HK based firmware MK1. can i flash malaysiam kot kat 4.4.2 via odin? thanks.

Is it possible to flash official stock firmware for Note 3 from region other than the original region of the phone? For example I have Note 3, N9005 from middle east (which has 4.3), can I flash a stock rom from a region for which 4.4.2 is available? Will this brick the phone? Will the phone be locked for that specific region in case flashing is successful? Any other problems? Did anyone did this before?
i have the same concern as yours, i have a Note3 and i am from the middle east can i download a stock rom from Europe for example Germany ??

Please read most carefully. I wrote that is the same way for all stock lolipop rom for international N9005.
This method will trip your knox counter.
Aren't there any other solutions to keep the counter to 0?
Now I have the N9005XXUGBOA1 rooted, and want to flash the newer N9005XXUGBOG2 without loosing the root.
Yes there is.
I used this method for my n900w8 and should work for your model using the specific files for the n9005.

Hi there,
I updated my SN-9500 (International) successfully from Firmware 4.3 to 5.0 (using N9005XXUGBOA1_HOME.tar. But I am not able to ROOT it again. Nothing works: neither KINGO ROOT, neither the way kouros17 mentioned (refering to Chainfire). I trief each and everything.
Every attempt leads to the message: SECURE CHECK FAIL: recovery and the downloading interrupts always after 4mm. Does anyone of you has another idea to get the ROOT work? All the normal and common ways do not work. Thanks in advance for helping me out ... Robert
When I upgraded to lollipop I followed the instruction found here on XDA but I didn't remember the exact thread .... You have to flash the old kernel of KitKat on lollipop, use towel root, then flash the lollipop's kernel..
