I don't know, where can I put my question, I hope, that this is the right place:
I read a few weeks ago, that OmniROM will be CyanogenMod killer with many and many options. It was very nice. But maybe I don't understand the system of this ROM. Available are only unofficial or home made builds, and nowhere I can't find the official build - in my case for Nexus 4.
I know, that ask for ETA is everywhere disabled, but where can I found (now or in the future) the official builds? Nightly?
Can someone explain it to me?

(I hope, that isn't very stupid question)

Hey everyone, couldnt find an announcement thread so I started one myself.
Android 5.0 Lollipop AOSP has just been released! Anyone who cant wait to get there hands on it here you go! Droid-Life was so kind to post links!
http://www.droid-life.com/2014/11/03/aosp-aosp-lollipop-time/
Now within 90 days CM will release Android 5.0 so we'll have to be patient for an official version otherwise beta builds should be out soon
and within days we will have a custom rom

i actually don't agree with cm on that, htc Samsung taking 90days is legitimate because they have tons of devices to maintain, but one plus only has one to maintain, it should take less time

You're right oneplus has one device, but its based on CyanogenMod but cm has to maintain as much devices as Samsung
90 days for cm12s release but much sooner for regular cm

Do we have a working OPO device tree for lollipop though? I don't think so.

Think he's saying that because it started rolling out last night (around 9 I think UK time?) and that people have been talking about it in the Development thread.
So I wouldn't say old news really but that's probably why he said it.

No we don't, but what does that even have to do with my post that you quoted?

Ok sorry for my confusing reply.... its because i have seen many posts about it so i think it is an old news. And i should not use old to describe it

Apart from Nexus(es) and Google Editions, no phones have a device tree specific for lollipop.
But, considering I came from a device which sources never got released (Galaxy S Advance) and devs was still able to build (not to port, to build) up to 4.4.4, that shouldn't be a problem
Just don't be in a hurry, first rule of XDA is NO ETA.
The manifest is still missing, and lots of the code is still 4.4 kitkat code..
There's still some time to go.
I just pray that our beloved Dev s can keep it or stop it rather from looking like apple os L

All that developers really have to do to port it to the OPO is to get the patches used in CM for the OPO and apply them to Lollipop. There may be some problems that will occur during the application of the patches, but that all can be fixed.
I'll be excited to see a port and to use it dual booting until OnePlus releases the firmware for the One.
I think we will get 5.0 this month, but not the CM version. I can remember that Oneplus posted a AOSP version for the One by themselves. So why shouldn't they publish a AOSP version of Lollipop?

They may do that. But we will more likely get an unofficial build much sooner than official AOSP/CM12S.
CM12 Nightlis will also come long time before CM12S

Because their official ROM is CyanogenMod. If they will release an official AOSP 5.0 a lot of people will stop using CM11s and that would create a legal issue. It's not like Touchwiz for Samsung or Sense for HTC, the rom in the opo is not their intellectual property., they just have the right to use it.
where is that 5.0? cant see it ages

@fjsferreira you got a One! I was with you when you had your OG!
Today, AOKP released their first Nougat build for our Shamu!
https://basketbuild.com/devs/aokp/shamu
EDIT: Was confirmed that it was a mistake and Nougat isn't yet being made for our shamu, false alarm.
Been soooo long since I've ran an AOKP build.

I always loved their roms! They kind of abandoned their website it seems (aokp.co) but their basketbuild and Google+ is very active!

Just tried to flash open gapps 7.1 to it, and it failed because the rom check says it's Marshmallow 6.0.1. not sure, haven't got to test it, anyone get it working?

It's still there, at the very bottom of the page. Guess it's not actually Nougat when you flash it though.
Confirmed is not a Nougat build. I posted on their G+ page and one of the devs said it was a mistake and removed it. He also said it's not being built "yet"

problem on rom. i flash mm old rom and work
Figured I would blow the dust off this thread to say that it looks like some magic is happening.
http://xfer.aokp.co/?developer=AOKP&folder=shamu
With a size of '0.0 Mb', I guess the only magic happening is a bricked phone.
I LOVED Aokp ... all I ran on my N4 until they stopped..... I MAY try it... but I finally found a perfect stable ROM at the moment that has SMartBar. AOKP was the first one I found that I could edit Navigation bar .... can't have it any other way now.
Stock Oreo has been released for quite a while now. What seems to be the problem that we still do not see any flashable zip based on stock rom?

My point exactly.
For the H918 variant, what is the recommended kernel for Nougat? Oreo?
Not really sure where things are with development since the MK2000 thread was closed.
Thanks.

What's to develop when the phones last update was 11 months ago. The MK kernel is fine or the kernel in the alpha Rom is fine

The beta versions of the MK2000 kernel were released quite regularly up to around beta 38 and then the thread was closed on 07/04/19. Clearly, there was active development and improvements to the kernel going on well past the last software update for the phone itself. The thread was closed while the kernel was still beta and then a non-beta v2.2 was uploaded. Also, since that time, a "CLANG" version was also compiled and uploaded but other than this thread, I can find little to no details on it.

I'm just saying the developers loose interest in the device when LG themselves abandon it.
whatever worked 11 months ago or 6 months ago still works now as nothing about the phone has changed
Does anyone have a link to the CLANG-compiled version of the MK2000 kernel?

There is only a CLANG version for Oreo, correct? Nougat options would be original MK2000 or AO?

The clang version was never official or supported just something that was complied for personal use that they shared. There's no nougat version
