I was looking for apps using my Galaxy Y when I noticed that GTA 3 is "compatible" for our device. I also tried in my pc and yielded the same result. It says that GTA 3 is compatible for Galaxy Y.
My questions are:
-Is this only a mistake of R* for including our device?
-Has anyone tried it?
-Does it really freeze on the loading screen?
Thanks
Sincerely,
Me

Seriously it'll be great but you have PSX Emulator & PS1 GTa ROM
you can enjoy that on GSY, as it is low-budget phone & not much powerful performance-wise,
even if you manage to install GTa 3 apk OR even download it's file,
First it's not gonna fit your screen,
second, it'll be like lol
third, your phone will probably get a FC or it'll reboot, as it requires too much GPU & Ram use,
so I must say, stick to games which are easily available for GSY,
GTa3 is something made specifically for Dual Core devices.........
Hope it helped.

does anybody know how to make this game work WITHOUT technoduos rom? ( i bricked my phone before and managed to fix it after a long struggle but im not taking a new risk trying to install another rom that isnt made for galaxy y)...the game starts and i accept the license and then it tell me to download more data so i press back and then home and then i start the game by pulling down my status bar and clicking on the game but all i get is a black screen??? I would really like if someone could make this work for me....THANKS!
This thread is back from the dead lol
I think there is no way YET to play GTA 3 on our phone, or worse, no real way of playing. So for the time being, I am setting my eyes on a new phone. I have seen HTC Explorer to perform quite good on playing these games, including Modern Combat 3 and 4, Need for Speed, etc. So yeah, device change is the real option, aside from the TechnoDuos ROM. My classmate successfully installed it on his Galaxy Y, but it's too risky.

Guys gta3 is seriously outdated, old.(in pc)But I don't know why you guys go crazy over it,please by happy about what our SGY can do.
gta3 insights
gta3 can run on galaxy y... but how can you enjoy if it is lagging? just a tip... don't push your galaxy y too hard... you will only be disappointed...
Seriously, even temple runner sucks in galaxy y...First fix temple runner then aim for gta 3
I recently bought a S4 and I started playing GTA Vice City and San Andreas.
Both are very laggy and I was wondering if TouchWiz is the cause, if so, should I change ROM? Is it safe, I mean, I never did that so I don't know how hard it is.

If this doesn't work, flashing an AOSP rom might fix it more thoroughly that those components that the Xposed module block are totally eliminated in AOSP roms.
And no it's not hard and yes its very safe. You CAN screw it up and break your phone, but on a Samsung device you almost have to try and do it on purpose to break it.

Some users here know, my HD dead (I worked on cm11 4.4.4 for tab 3 T211). So I speak portugues brazilian, maybe you can't understand but it's big help if can help me. https://www.youtube.com/c/CelsoJuniorGamer
Hope you can help me since it seems I can't find a solution to this: I have a Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F), when I play a 3D game it's smooth for 10-15 minutes then it starts stuttering heavily and the games become unplayable. Using trepn profiler I noticed that the cpu and gpu frequency are really low when using a 3d game (for examole the gpu is stuck at 200 mhz and doesn't want to go up). It seems to happen when the phone heats up a bit but it's not too hot so why the hell does it happen? On my note 3 all games go perfectly :/ (i have android lollipop 5.1.1)

There are TWO ways to solve this issue....follow either one of the methods
METHOD ONE:
{{{{{disable DVFS...use custom kernel and downlock the cpu to 1.9ghz because throttling starts when cpu hits certain temperature...Downclocking the cpu will help you to maintain consistently low cpu temperature which will not trigger cpu n gpu throttling....}}}}}
METHOD TWO:
root ur device
download NOMOne resloution changer from play store
set your resolution in 1920x1080 and set Dpi to 480ppi
select apply...and play any game...it wont lag
after finished playing that game...select restore default settings in NOMone app
Bingo.......adreno 420 runs every game smoothly in 1080p
So Far these are the only 2 methods that i found to be working in Note 4 snapdragon variant

Or use this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-gltools-1-29-t2828630
You can configure GPU settings per app like forcing 16 bit or lower resolutions or even emulate tegra chipset to play those games too.
btw u must have ROOT for this.
(for the GearVR users here this does not break the services like xposed framework)

Face the reality. To make Note4 playable in 3d games either chipset you choose, you'll have to root and follow any advice from the posts in this thread.
I couldn't face it though and decided to go for the Mate 8 when it's released. Sam**** don't deserve our money after making fools out of us sam fans.
This ain't apple and iphone, luckily we are not as stupid as them.

I know, it's sickening how Sam**** has a bunch of lobby people as alot of other companies too, who hangs around on XDA especially and pukes out all bunch of lies to sell as many items as possible.
My experiance and conclusion is as I recommend everybody to do, buy the phone, test it out for yourself. Return it if it's ****, or eliminate it's existence and move along with your life.
I felt fooled by Sam**** tbh. Hate when my intelligence is being mocked. So just hit them back where it hurts as it supposed to

Hi I just bought galaxy s7 edge, phone is amazing but the biggest issue is performance, most games dropping frames below 30fps even temple run 2 or candy crush soda, sky force, heartstone etc. These games where running on may galaxy s5 smooth I'm really disappointed right now and don't know what to do. Is it a hardware or software issue? Can u help me please?
temple run and candy crush works fine on my phone
ye GS7 has the worst gaming performance in flagship device for years, there is not much u can do without root, and even with root the solution is not optimal to use.
U can however disable gameservice which might help or not, u need package disable pro in order to do so if u don't have root.
You mean best gaming perform. Zero issues here
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
no one of the worst, the fact that u don't have issues does not mean it's working perfect, u might not be able to see it.
Again not all games effected, mine games currently are Tekken on PPSSPP and Angry birds 2 on high levels 200+, both lags so bad it's not funny, Note 5 on 5.1.1 was light years ahead of S7.

i did everything, i can prove that it's the software that throttling the phone, not hardware.
If u disable DVFS via root, 85% of the lag is gone just like that.

Not at all but it will trip knox and your software warranty will wear off.
I just give up to play Need for Speed No Limits on my S7 Edge Exynos. Is just impossible to play after 5 minutes.
Just as a information I played the same game on a old Galaxy S4 Mini witch has much lower hardware specs, and no problems at all. Samsung just lie when says a S7 is a phone for games
the hardware is there, the software is limiting and yes that annoying, guys just spam their twitter account and try to go to higher ranks, if we all work together something might happen.
Make sure you don't have any accessibility services enabled. I had to have it enabled for a swipe down to open the notification drawer in my launcher, but discovered that enabling any accessibility service really slows down the entire phone.
