Hello everyone!
I would like to know if I can delete Dalvik cache with no side effects when using ART as runtime.
Would I have any benefit from doing this?
Empty Dalvik cache by TWRP would be the recommended method?

There's been almost no benefit to using it for years, since long before ART. I think even in Gingerbread Android was smart enough to detect "stale" things in Dalvik cache, most definitely since ICS.
It may still do "something" but it's of course misnamed if it still wipes out the appropriate cache location.

So fc's are either from your data or a bad flash. If you had any themed apps or themes they are not always compatible with a newest version rom. Also sometimes you can go to manage applications push the app that is fc and clear data and that might resolve your issue. Wiping data is absolutely a must. I usually don't restore data from cwm from old roms onto new roms. Ti backup I use to restore apps. I don't have any of the fc's that I've been seeing everyone have with flashing new roms. Please wipe your data so there is not extraneous posts about this in the rom threads.
this goes without saying.

My S5 was a little laggy this morning and I had to restart it. After reboot it shows the custom unlock icon on the Galaxy S5 screen. Has anyone seen an explanation as to why this is happening?

Your s5 has its full apps? the many the application sometimes the phone being laggy a bit.
I think this has to do with running ART as opposed to dalvik

Yes, it's due to enabling ART - switching back to Dalvik does not remove the custom boot screen either - seems it's here to stay.
i have a nexus 4 today i rooted and flashed twrp using nexus root toolkit.
I was flashing the stock backup but before that i did formatted my system, data, cache, dalvik partitions and then mounted as usb and moved the stock backup then restored the backup. It was successful but now there is a little problem this is showing 10.9GB Free however there is nothing inside. What to do now? I tried deleting manually all the files but still no luck also i did factory reset but no luck. Anyone please help thanks
I am getting crazy !! :silly:

Solution:
Factory reset your mobile through settings then turn it off (when it is booting)
boot to recovery and now wipe cache and reboot
it will fix
If I download something with the phone, then the download status is still on 6% or 57%, but the file is already downloaded, is there a solution for this?
Example what I mean, see the screenshot, XPrivacy is already downloaded

Happens here too, not all the time, mine usually remains stuck at 97%.
If that sk happens go to apps and force close Download Manager. probably a glitch, but I never encountered this kind of predicament before
I have already do that, but same, and happened only in oxygenos 2.1.2
I'm having it too. Couldn't find any solution yet.
Force stopping is a one-time solution.
Never happens with me.. Try flashing a full zip.. Wipe data system cache and dalvik cache.. Then install full zip..
OS already new flashed, so this is not a solution
Out of no where, one day I just wanted to check something on my data usage section in settings and as soon as that page loaded it just froze and I could only open recent apps and swipe it away. I can use everything else in settings just fine but only data usage is causing problems. (I set a data limit and if I reach it it's gonna block my access until start of the next data cycle)
So far I've tried clearing settings app cache, wiping cache partition, stopping some settings-related services from app manager (not sure how effective that should be if at all.. I'm not android savvy.) it's the G935FD version.
I'm trying to avoid full system reset at all costs.
Appreciate your time and efforts,
Thanks.
