Laggy AOSP G3 - Temp. Solved by Clearing Cache - G3 General

Hi,
I have a D855 G3 with 777 Kernel and the latest Resurrection Remix AOSP rom installed.
If I use the phone fresh after an install (which includes a Davlik & Cache Wipe) or manually clear the Davlik & Cache, the phone is perfect. Lightning fast, stable, etc. Give it a few hours of usage and it's dog slow. Literally takes around 30 seconds to open Whatsapp. Leave it like this and eventually the lock screen won't wake forcing me to remove the battery.
Using a popular "speed up" app from the Play store, I couldn't find any CPU heat or major memory leak issues.
Does this just sound like a characteristic of the G3, or would it be worth me doing a fresh install with no apps?
Thanks.

Try another ROM. I don't have that issue with BlissPop. 777 kernel is buggy I guess.

Thanks I'll maybe use the stock kernel and BlissPop. Before I do, is there a task manager style tool I can use to maybe see what the issue is now? Something must be hammering the CPU / RAM?

Just switch from interactive governor to another one (conservative is best for me, zero lag and beast battery life).
Interactive governor is terrible both on LG stock based rom and AOSP/CM based ROMs.

Apologies, would you mind explaining? Not sure what you mean there? Do I need a kernel editor for that?

This is how it's already set.....

Overheating

So I know the phone gets hot but I was watching a flash video on Firefox and the audio got garbled. I closed Firefox immediately and took this screenshot.

Everything else about my N4 is excellent. Well, except battery life. That aside, is this a hardware issue? I hate doing RMAs but I'd hate for my phone to die even more and can't be without a phone.

I'd crack an egg on the back and have breakfast.

How many hours do you get screen on?
You could try a kernel w/ undervolting available and see if that helps.
If your phone is rooted and have busy box installed then I'd recommend Bricked kernel. I used to have issue with heat too but after using bricked kernel I have never seen it goes up past 105. Its even rare to see it goes up to 100.
So this could be a kernel issue then? Hm. I'll think about it then. I wanted to keep the phone stock but maybe I'll try the kernel.

from my experience flash always makes the phone run hot. hell anything that uses the CPU at a high utilization for a long amount of time makes it hot, games like GTA Vice City for example

[Q] Best Rom & Kernel for gaming

Hello guys
I want to say before continuing that I use a translator because my English is bad. I do my best to make me understand.
I recently purchased the Nexus 7 created by Asus and Google. I also Roote this one, and flash ROM XenonHD: android version 4.2.1. I did not know much about android, so that you advise me as ROM and kernel for gamming?
Thank you in advance
I would start by checking out Trinity kernel and M-kernel.

I suggest the M-Kernel too. I'm using it with the SmoothROM and I overclocked the CPU to 1.5GHz. I don't experience any lag and the battery is pretty good.

I use Franco.Kernel R38 with these settings in his app and stock 4.2.1
Get really good battery life with almost lag free gaming. Only game I play where I come across lag is need for speed most wanted.

thank you for your answers, I'll try all your suggestions and tell you how to satisfy me
After several hours of reflection and boot and reboot. I choose SmoothRom M-kernel v4.3. Whether NFS Most Wanted, Rayman Jungle Run 4 Modern Combat, Nova 3 and many others I have no lag or freeze.
thank you very much for your help

[Q]Weird lag(?) after flashing franco.kernel?

Hello guys!
So today I flashed franco kernel r188-JSS.zip version via TWRP, and also installed the updater app. However, after booting the transisions, and most of movements on the screens are kinda' laggy. It isn't really lag, because there are stripes, or lines on some parts of the screen, where the objects are loaded a bit later, than on other parts (0,1-0,4 ms delay).
Is it a problem with the kernel, with the uptater, or did I just accidentally set something wrongly in developer settings?
Thanks.
Edit: The lag looks like this, but appears during scrolling, opening app drawer, sometimes sliding in app drawer, or home screen.

are you running a jwr or jss/jls rom? you probably flashed the wrong franco kernel for your rom, that is why you are experiencing screen tearing.

+1. Anyway try to disable HW blablabla under development options and check if worked

Thanks guys I'm gonna try to flash the jwr version. Maybe I misunderstood something in franco thread. One more thanks.
EDIT: Okay really.Billion thanks! I don't have jss rom. It's now smoother, than the real world...

How to UV with PA rom and FK kernel?

Hi guys, I really want to undervolt my Nexus 4 to slightly improve battery life and reduce heating temperatures but I can't seem to do so. I've tried trickster MOD and system tuner from the appstore but I can't, well I can but after a reboot, it just goes back to stock settings. Maybe the paid Franco Kernel updater app may allow me to do so? I am running the latest PA rom and Franco Kernel r188. Please help?
Yes you have to use the paid Franco kernel updater app to do that. I actually don't know any other way.

Favorite CM OP2 Rom?

I'm looking for a CM13 Rom with working laser focus camera, fingerprint sensor, good kernel support, and OTA updates (or some kind of updating system but honestly this isn't required. Does anyone have any recommendations?

It depends on your CM usage. If you want something unrooted then use mine Can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/development/rom-unrooted-cm13-oneplus-2-t3348109
I am looking into implementing an OTA system for people to use so they don't have to download the OTA files constantly but I get around a day and a half usage out of my phone.
