Use titanium backup to freeze the app if u r rooted
If not go to lockscreen and uncheck s health step counter and from the in app settings pause step counting cuz it consumes battery
Thank you for the help

I can only get the watch on widget to work on the lock screen, not on thr the home screen. Can someone confirm they are having the same issue?

Using nova I have no option for the watchon widget. I got the notification drawer widget to appear but it disappeared after reboot.

Same here. That's really weird that they wouldn't have it as a home screen widget.

There's gotta be a bug then.. Makes no sense.

Surprised this isn't being discussed more. Also no homescreen widget in the GS4, only lock screen and notification panel
All the sudden Watch On app is turning itself on and showing in the notifications area. I turn it off(tell it not to) but when I restart it's back. What happened? Fix?
Thanks.

Check your settings and disable the "show remote in notifications"

Thanks, but that's what I have tried 6 times now. It automatically puts it back on restart.
Please help.

I came here and was just about to ask the same question. I could not figure out why this thing was always on in the notifications and status bar!

That is weird because I use my watch on app all the time. I disabled the notification from settings once and it stayed true. Are you running a custom ROM? I'm on ShoStock v2.0.

Not rooted. All stock.

I am running SHOstock 2 and it happens to me too.
I reported it to samsung, you should too,
in the Settings near the bottom
Send feedback or get help
Report this faulty app Please!!!!
fix
Unless Samsung has updated the app behind the scenes.
This seems to have fixed the issue:
Under settings go into your applications
go to Samsung Watchon and hit the clear button,
Yes, you will have to re-setup your TV\Cable,
but the checkbox does not reset now.
I emailed them about the issue. You can report bugs from the app. I suggest everyone do the same

Wave hand over phonw while asleep!

You have one of the motion things active. When you wave your hand over it, it displays that screen.

Looking to figure out how to remove whatever this is in the pic... it's whenever the phone is off and I get a notification it makes this weird lock screen come up.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That's the active notification... go to settings and its in one of the tabs that also have the beats, clean master, and greenify settings. Click active notifications and flip the OFF switch
