hi everybody.
I have a samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9505 which is rooted running echo rom 4.3 and all of a sudden my phone has started to reboot itself constantly..(rebooted about a dozen times already today and ive only been awake about 2 hours!!)
What i was wondering is...
Can i go back to my 4.2.2 backup i made in recovery and then flash the official 4.3 update with odin (i know this will trigger knox but i need my phone to work)
If there are any other suggestions anyone has which will not trigger knox it would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks.
What is your battery serial number?!
Read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488245.

Maybe just start with going back to 4.2.2 and see if that fixes the problem first.
Then take it from there if u wanna choose a custom knox free rom or not
Hi,
do you have only battery drains or also random reboots?
the fact is that samsung shipped out a bad serie of batteries (which is confirmed by Samsung) their serial starts with BD
the symptoms of a bad battery are:
Huge battery drain
random reboots
while rebooting the phone hangs at samsungs logo
battery is swelling
phone shutting down while you have an incomming call/sms
when you are the "lucky one" to experience one of the above symptoms please replace your battery asap under warranty
if you don't do this you risk a phone exploding in the pocket of your pants this is not only painfull for your phone but also for "everything else" whats in there
^^^^^^^
Thanks for the info man.I'll let my wife test out my phone when I get it friday.
Hi, this is what's happening to my phone:

I've used stock rom over a 3-4 months and install CRASH rom

I can fix it when i do factory reset but after few days it happened again
so i install official rom without any root.. and it work for 2 weeks and it happened

it's really frustrating, can't do factory reset all the time
hi guys, i'm a note 3 international version(SM-N9005) owner. Since a couple of months ago my device updated to the last version of lollipop available in Italy (ITV) start to restart randomly and stuck in bootloop and the only way to revive the device is to do a factory reset from recovery. This situation is very frustrating and drives me mad because every time i lost all data. My device is full stock, i've never rooted it and never done any sort of modding including changing recovery. There's a way to avoid this situation?
I had a similiar problem on a version of lollipop, i can't remember what one, an early version.
I just downgraded to 4.4

thank you for your replay, i think i will downgrade to KK.
At this Time kitkat is the best choice for note 3 [emoji108]
Hi all,
So I've had my current Note 4 for around a year and just recently I started having "...has closed" error messages. Didn't think nothing of it until more recently my phone started reporting the battery capacity incorrectly (phone dies saying 5% or whatever, plug charger in and it says 55%!) and now a couple of times I've had MMC_READ failed error on boot. So, new phone to be delivered Monday.
I understand the new phone should have either 5.0.1 or probably 5.1.1 My current broken one has 4.4.4 due to XPosed being very mature and in particular App Settings works flawlessly.
So.......
1. Do I downgrade back to 4.4.4 on the new phone? I'm not particularly bothered about the UI although it looks nice am I missing something that Lollipop offers that's of benefit compared to KitKat?
2. Rooted my phone around a year ago so have completely forgotton lol. Easy to do still?
3. If I go to Lollipop, do I even need Root? I use the following modules in XPosed:
3c Toolbox Pro
Amplify
App Settings
Greenify
Secure Settings
Wanam Exposed
Exposed Additions
Thanks for reading and any advice will be greatly appreciated :good:
An advice, if you are bothered to go back to kit kat, what i have heard is, lollipop drains more battery than kit kat, as i bought this note 4 10 days ago i cannot confirm it because it came with 5.0.1. About rooting i haven't rooted the phone yet but i am planning to do so. One question if you rooted your phone how come are they giving you a replacement?

Hi, firstly, regarding root, just unroot it. Download the firmware from SamMobile and flash using ODIN.
I've taken 5.1.1 for a spin and I just can't accept the stock huge DPI and lack of root access for Titanium Backup, GMD Gesture Control, XPosed App Settings blah....blah....blah... so restored my backup of 4.4.4 from m old phone to the new and all is well.
I sure do wish the clever bods can sort out Xposed on Lollipop and more importantly per app DPI which is the main reason I need XPosed.
Hello guys!
I'm a new guy here, but found no answers to the following issues.
So i've got the 6.0.1 update to Note 4, and now im stuck with issues like the Phone just freezes, crashes and hangs for like 1 minute after i can use it again, so i had to download the WakeLock application from the google play store.
I'm just curious, is this a phone issue, or its releated to the stock rom? I should flash a new ROM based on guides here, or is there any fixes to this issue?
Thanks.
You may have to try a factory reset. I haven't heard of this issue
Mine went into the same issues since a day or 3. Factory reset, cache wipe, no dice until now.
