I was disapointed that LeEco didn't anounce anything about the Le Max 2 at the October 19th event and assumed that the ExploreVR wouldn't be compatible with the Le Max 2, which is disapointing because the Le 3 and Le 3 Pro don't have 2k screens. I wasn't sure so I did some searching and found new news articles about the event they said the headset would only be compatible with the Le 3 and Le 3 Pro. I still wasn't sure so I did more searching and found the LeEco Cool 1 a cardboard headset without a IMU. I was about to give up when I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV272GpZ6qk which showed a LeEco keynote that showed a VR headset similar to the ExploreVR but compatible with the Le Max 2. After some more searching I found it the LeVR Pro 1 this headset was anounced in April http://www.xiaomitoday.com/leeco-le...adset-costs-60-will-start-selling-9th-august/. It will cost 399 yuan about $60, Its compatible with the Le 2, Le Pro 2, and Le Max 2, it has dedicated IMU and 18ms latency like the Gear VR. Though the article said the VR headset would released on the 9th august it got delayed and will only launch the 25th of October and will be in a limited quantity of 2000 on lemall http://cn.lemall.com/product/levrpro1.html. The only problem I see is content, 360 degree videos are cool but games are really where its at. LeEco shows some games in background images that are popular games on the Gear VR. Otherwise it is possible that someone will figure out how to get apps from the American Explore VR to work on the chinese variant, or port Daydream Apps or Gear VR apps
The explorevr and the levr pro 1 is the same thing, just dif name for marketing reasons.
Nougat is supposedly arriving on the Axon 7 sometime in January 2017 - will the promised ZTE VR headset emerge at the same time? How will it compare cost/performance wise with the Google headset which is available right now?

While waiting for the Gear VR 2017 to come here it will take about a month, meanwhile I wonder if I can use the Gear VR app to enjoy real full screen with edges on a cardboard headset?
Ok so I installed Oculus Gear VR app and downloaded its video player but it's asking for the Gear VR.
I tried the Developer mode but it said ''you are not a developer''
Have the same problem...can't seem to find a solution as of yet.

Ive been using the gear vr 2017 with the s9+ it was kinda hard the first tome pushing it in to activate the vr services, but it fits and works fine.

What do you think the probability of some of the "software" features demoed on the Pixel 3 will be ported to the Pixel 2 via Magisk, Xposed, Root etc?
Features im most intrested in is:
Playground - Finally i can meet Iron Man. Lol (It kinda sounded like google said these will be coming to Pixel and Pixel 2 later although i dont remember Pixel 1 having the AR chip soooo.
Call screen - I WANT THIS!!!!!!!!
The rest of the phone was pretty "Meh" I guess "NightSight" looked pretty cool.

Interesting because after i watched the made by google event i watched MKBHD's impressions video. Turns out he was invited to Google HQ a few months ago to film and try out all the products he said that Google said other then the Hush feature they would all be exclusive to the Pixel 3

I've had the "Hush" feature for at least 5 years on a Galaxy Nexus, S4 Active, Nexus 6, Pixel 2 XL with Tasker!

Both night sight and call feature is coming to pixel and pixel 2s. Not sure about the new playmojis but I'm sure once someone get their hands on the apks. We can install them on our pixels.

Yup. I just went through the event video again. Night Sight is at ~1:18 and Playground at 1:20.
Photo Booth, High Res, Motion Auto Focus, and new Portrait features are not clear in the video if yes or no. If it is a software feature, Google seems to deliver it to all Pixel phones. (fingers crossed)

So it confirms that the portrait editing shown WILL be on Pixel 2 devices too!

Hell yeah!!
Any issues with the 6.1 camera apk on the pixel 2 xl? The APK targets a lower dpi than the phone's value.
I'll wait for the Pixel 3 ROM Port to Pixel 2 ?

After you take the photo, go to edit and in the second option look for depth. That's your blur setting
I use Nova launcher but they have the Pixel launcher and new clock and alarm here as well. I am using the clock from here.
