hey all!
I have benn trying to root my note 4 , 910F with xnote ROM.
Somehow i must have missed to check the MD5 file, when im in TWRP it can find it and so im stuck now on the sumsung screen as it looping. i have tryed to root cm12 ROM without succes, mayby couse im using TWRP.?
Anyhow as the Xnote thread is closed and the links below it isnt avaible. ANd my backup have been messed up somehow, anyway how the **** can i get any ROM to work again? im going crazy and im sitting on my moms slow as windows 8 computer.
excuse me for my frustration and languech.
can i somehow write in or zip in the MD5 file in TWRP mode if so how?

here's the story
i rooted my galaxy s5 and it always fail in recovery... and when i get out from the download mode, everything's ok, my galaxy s5 worked well.
and the problem came one hour ago, i reset my phone to factory settings and tried to root again and it works!!
but the process stucked at cache.img,
and i tried to get out from the download mode and i find "FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE. ......"
i tried to recover my device with samsung kies, but kies cannot detect my phone.
i need your help guys...
im an android newbie, just moved from ios
please help me
I had the same exact problem. Flashing CWM Recovery got me out of that nasty screen. You don't need to use the recovery - the mere act of installing it seems to have done the trick for me.
In the end I couldn't root but I am glad my phone works.

Andy Ibanez, I love you man! I thought i was in deep muck when i came across your solution. Thank you once again!
It sounds like you had a failed i.e. partial write and /or partition corruption.
Flashing a custom recovery is an expedient fix, but you may still have corrupt partitions that can cause you problems later. You should find the appropriate PIT (partition information) file to match your current firmware and flash that to assure a stable system.

I had the same problem. The screen showed the ' firmware issue' message.
I used the odin 3.09 to flash the CF Root again and this time it worked properly.
i didn't loose any files and the root works perfectly

Hey guys i wanna reflash to back to stock rom cuz sadly i did some weird stuff which deleted my playstore and jammed all the google apps so yeah....
PLUS whenever i try to go into cwm and flash something it says \Cant mount sd card and iv tried alot of things and it just wouldnt open...
I can easily open the files on my pc and my phone so idk whats wrong so PLEEEEASE give me a fix for this...
As of the reflashing i downloaded a stock rom according to my area and everything is fine in odin cuz my phone is recognized in download mode and i upload all three files correctly as in
PDA ---> Pda file
Phone----> modem file
CSC-----> CSC File
And start the process and its all fine until it says
Processes ( 0 completed ,1 failed)
And then in the big box on top it also says failed....
Can someone please tell me what the problem is cause i cant flash a rom or get a new cwm or switch to stock rom....
Is this a problem because im already on stock rom and kernel ?
Is it cuz im doing it wrong ?
Some help would be great because im really frustrated
Well you must use the new version of ODIN or if it still runs into errors,go to CWM on your phone and format system,data and cache and then try to flash the stock ROM via ODIN.

i experienced same problem.. u can just restart ur system sometimes it may save.. another thing is galaxy y phones sd card.. when it occurs in cwm i just pull the battery and remove sd card and reinsert it.. it will become correct..

I have a galaxy s5 sm-g900w8 and i have tried to root it today. Iv took the good file on chainfire. Every thing seen to be good. So iv root it whit odin and well evrything look to work fine. Nothing to report. But well when im checking whit a tool who check if the root work, they always said its not rooted but nothing in the step iv done lets us think something gone wrong. So the question is , did root for lolipop 5.1.1 is supported. Dont know much what to at this point. Im a .net developer so, im not supposed to be that bad !! lol but its my first root. I would appréciate any help at this point cause iv pass like 10 hours on this phone today . ty
Try an app that requires Root, see if SuperSU pops up and asks you to grant permissions for root

Iv tryed whit TWRP Manager but they said Root is required for this app.
Whit root checker they said Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device.
Its lets me this the root have not worked.

Seen i cant figure out how i can flash TWRP whit odin. I foud 2 file one is .apk the other on is .img. Odin dont support thes kind of file. :S

Im not sure of whut its mean.
TWRPManager.apk = TWRPManager.apk.tar
or
TWRPManager.apk=TWRPManager.tar
or the file is .tar basicly. cause i follow ur link and iv not seen anywhere we have to replace the extention. Just to be sure. Dont want to instal the wring thing and brick it. this phone is 1 month old.
By the way a big thanks for the time and info you provide.
If you don't know what .apk or .tar is, you shouldn't be messing with your phone

Yuup, by the time i figured out how its work, but well at the end got same error. Seen thats suppersu app make phone rolad icon on phone constantly. Ov got the same result whit the odin methode. So im gonna assume there something wrong for this model. By the way the knox have triggered so there is no more wararnty.. not much more to loss, evrything to gain at this point. Hey guys im up for an other day to root that samsung s5. Iv dream this night iv got it wrong.
ok im gonna tell you whut i did step by step. So mayby someone could tell me what im doing wrong
1- Phone is stock. Iv put back the stock system from telus.
2- Iv copie supersu zip on the phone.
3- Load twrp in odin (2.8.7)
4-rebbot phone on download mode
4- Iv flash twrp whit odin.
5- Reboot phone on recovery mode, iv could seen twrp screen.
6- clic on install and chose supersu and flash it.
7- reboot phone as usual
8- result was wizz touch keep comming to screen and relead all icon on phone in lloop.
9- reinstall stock system from telus.
10- Finally phone was not rooted.
I was wondering if i have to cf-auto-root befor all thes step?
because whit cf-auto-root, i got basicly same effect on reboot, wizz touch keep comming to screen and reload icon. If i uninstalle superSu and other app who using root, this solve the issu whit wizz touch.
Any got clue for me.

Iv got this damn phone rooted now. But i got probleme now whit this superSu who cant get binary. Its fail whene its want t update binary from superSu.
Anyone got clu about getting this binary up to date in superSu.

guys I have a problem i tried to root my samsung galaxy note 4 (sm-n910f) and i forget to backup the phone and now i thing the phone doesn't have a rom. I tried to install new rom as tar file with oddin tool but when oddin finish the job i tried to boot the phone but constantly rebooting. Enyone can help me pls???
Did you check and make sure you ODIN the right ROM for your phone? Check the model in the recovery menu vs the one you installed, are they the same?
Yeah i download the correct rom from sammobile and i odin it.
After the installation I remove the phone from my pc and try to boot and the phone won't stop restarting, I change the battery from a friend phone and the phone boot normal I thing the problem is the battery and I order new one.

When you do ODIN, did it say successfully completed?
Remove SD Card. Try to do a factory reset in the recovery menu.

first of all i am searching for solutions for 2 days and i dont find some normal expl. for my problem.
So a friend gave me his s5 so i can use it. i have restored to factorysettings.
i want to flash a never rom on it and decidet to flash LineAgeOs.
So with Odin i flashed TWRP and then from the S5 i installed Lineage and gapps... btw i wanted root acces but havent figuret out how 2 (but thats not my problem i know just install some SU apk...)
so is used phone for some days until lineage have again get an update to 16 and without root i have to install it manualy via Odin and i did.
what i saw in lineage15 in Sequrity Trust Options is that my Vendor is not uptodate.
so i dont want to use phone if security is old.
Im trying to understand how to update this to never safe versions. (and maybe all the other systempartitions) without bricking my phone.
looks like i have to update all the fields(BL,CP,CSC) in Odin and not just the AP field.<-- and here i need help

i have win7 and win10
on win7 my phone cant install MTP (so i have to remove sdcard to SDadapter... to get files on sdcard) [but odin still worked flashing TWRP]
on win10 i cant install USBdrivers it give me no permission idk and odin dont find my phone
i switching, plug, repluging the hell out and nothing works.
i think i have to restore factory somehow and then somehow get the BL CP CSC updated so i can start with TWRP LIneAge and rooting
I found this sammobile site and tried to find out what kind G900F this is but didnt know. then is saw a detailed modelnumber on twrp boot and searched on sammobile. looks like its the T-Mobile one BUT i dont use T MobileSIM. I use Alditalk its a mix of 02 an Eplus i think.
Do i need to install specific for my SIM? omg im so tired of all this
